I had a 7 night stay for this resort. Driving in, the overall resort is absolutely beautiful. Very clean and very welcoming. The rooms I had were very clean and everything was in great working condition. It was definitely way more space than I was expecting. There is maid service and towel service but it costs extra per day. Luckily the unit I was in had a washer and dryer unit so it's not an issue. Overall this resort is fantastic and I will definitely be coming back again on my next trip!

The resort is very large with many amenities. While we did not partake of many of them, they all seemed of good quality. The staff were very nice and capable of answering our questions. The Suite was very nice, and mostly up-to-date. Our biggest gripe was the heating and cooling situation. Two Suites are set up together in a heating and cooling tandem. If your neighbors want it colder or hotter than you, you might have to settle for something in between your two temperatures. It is a minor gripe, but something worth mentioning. We would stay there again.

This place has gone down in a horrible way. I remember when it was very family oriented, the furniture was clean and dated, the landscaping was more pleasant and there was much more to do. Now you pay for any and every activity they have, the property looks sad, the furniture is over 13 years old (we've started going before my 15 year old was born), and I'm convinced they have a new management. There are better views in Orlando than Star Island which should really consider changing their name to reflect the new level of service and of course the face of the room.

I've stayed at Star Island 4 or 5 times. Star Island is nice for what it isif you like a "resort" atmosphere you'll probably enjoy it. The rooms are clean and the beds are fairly comfortable. The rooms are nice for comfortably accommodating large groups. The rooms get stuffy and the amenities are dated. While the rooms look nice, they really need an overhaul (new windows, updated thermostats, updated bathrooms, etc) The pool area is clean, spacious, well-landscaped and well-kept. The resort is really pricy for food and drinks, there is loud music going all the time and karaoke can be heard in the guest rooms at night. The resort staff is really hit or miss in their customer service. I'd say we generally encounter a lot of rude staff here. The surrounding area leaves a lot to be desired, but it's not too far from Disney or the airport.

Most of our stay was good until the last night . We had both the A and B side rented . My mother in law had to leave a day early and she had been staying in the smaller room. We had closed the door between the A and B side after she left. Our last night around 1 am I heard some noise and I got up and saw light coming through the door to the smaller side of the unit. My husband went to check and opened the door and there was another family in our room! They were in the bedroom laying down watching tv!! We weren’t due to check out until 10 am the next morning. We locked the door between the rooms and called the front desk. Security did come and have the family moved to a different room immediately. The next morning at check out I spoke with the manager and he apologized but he didn’t seem too concerned. I am just thankful my young children weren’t sleeping in that room when these other people were let into our room. I felt like we should of received something else besides a half hearted apology. Also we had ants in our kitchen and the toilets clogged up pretty easily. We had 2 episodes of the toilets overflowing onto the floor. The shower in the larger unit had a clogged drain and it filled up with a lot of water while showering. My husband plunged it with the toilet plunger and it resolved. Besides all that we liked the resort but I’m not sure if we would stay again .

Very nice staff. Rooms were ok. The fitness area needs updating. Pools were awesome. Loved having a bar and spa right at the pool. I would probably visit again

LOVE this place. Very clean resort. Hot dog/chips/soda only $5.00 poolside, not too bad. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed our stay. Close to everything you need. Daily bingo, activities, etc.

Price is good for being so close to Disney. The hotel itself was ok. I can't say it's a 4 star hotel from our experience. We had pealing paint on the ceiling, non -working a.c., a funky mildew smell, the once a week towel service didn't come. Now we were in building 20. The others were in much better condition it seemed. It was nice having a full kitchen.

Stayed in February for a weekwas our second time at the resort and just as pleased as the first time. The staff was fantastic; super friendly. The rooms were clean and spacious. Loved the pool area for relaxing and sunshine! The tiki bar was great as well as the upstairs area where they have activities. Met some great people from staff to guests. Will be back!

This hotel was close to EVERYTHING!! The hotel staff was amazing. The parking was very convenient. The sleeping arrangements were grade A. My children were very entertained. I just wish that it hadn't rained so much. Other than that, this resort was EVERYTHING. 😊

We loved this resort! It is truly a wonderful experience! The room was very clean and spacious (even the mini suite), and all the decor was modern. The pool/recreation area offers many activities for young and old, including a bar by the pool and mini golf, among others. The game room is great and there is even a spa to pamper yourself. I looked all over the Kissimmee area online (and have driven around extensively since we've been here) and this is the best to be found, hands down!!

What makes this place 5 stars is the value. You're getting bang for buck here.

I had never heard of this place before but just followed the stars and ended up at Star Island. The resort is located on a large property with all amenities necessary and many you don't need.

The price is killer! I paid just over $100/night with taxes and got a suite with 2 rooms, small kitchen, etc. The fitness center is spacious with many machines, a bench, a Smith machine, treadmills, and water fountain. There are a bunch of tennis courts, tables, pools, a spa, game room, you really can't beat it.

The only thing I would say is many of the amenities are from the yesteryear. In fact the '80s called, they wanted their neon lights back, and also the Schwarzenegger-era workout machines back. Despite that, the room was well-maintained, the trees trimmed, and the employees smiling.

COCKROACHES! this resort was NOT what the pictures show for the room stay! We walked into our 3 bedroom condo and it stunk! The carpets were so dirty when we walked out our feet turned black with dirt! On top of the mosquitoes everywhere the COCKROACHES were worse! all over the kitchen, bathroom and walls from 9pm-throughout the night I lost a whole entire nights sleep because there was so many! Getting into my food was the icing on the cake! I started packing up my family's things at 4am and we checked out and will never return! That place needs a deep sterile cleaning and a pest control company to spray every room because the cockroach problem was out of this world! I will NEVER stay here again! And the management would not refund me of any of it! Very disappointed with this being a 4 star resort because it's most certainly NOT!!!!!!!

This resort is in an ideal location, within close proximity to many attractions. We had a two room suite, with two bathrooms, both of which included a Jacuzzi one that fits two people and the other only one person. The room came with a full kitchen, dish washer, oven with stove tops, fridge and freezer. Each room including the living room included a TV with over 60 channels. The resort is equipped with a golf driving range, 9 hole putt putt golf course, two swimming pools, one of which has a shallow area for kids, and many other activities. Staff was always friendly and helpful, we did have an issue with the water heater during our stay, and staff quickly responded and worked diligently to resolve the problem which they did, and management made further accommodations for the inconveniences. Highly recommend!
