If i could give zero stars i would. My girlfriend was just at the er and sat in a room for over an hour and no came in, yet we could hear everyone in the nurses station talking and laughing. So she finally pushed the call button to let them know she was leaving, a male nurse came in and said he would be right back, 20 minutes later a doctor came in and said " we are busy tonight but we will get a xray of your back and some Motrin for pain. After hearing the dr outside the door laughing and talking and nothing was medical related she decided she was leaving. That hospital is completely useless. I would not take my dog there. Now we are home and she is crying in pain thanks to not being seen by the useless staff at the hospital..

The only only way I would go back would have to be a major life
decision, between death and going back to this hospital.
Some great nurses while some of the worst I've ever seen before.
Im not sure if their just used to a lot of junkies coming for pain pills but they have absolutely ZERO concern for your person pain. Wake up in agony (major spine surgery) see the chart with my pills and time to be taken as usual, I inform my nurse please whenever she can. Her reply? "Are you sure you need it or did you just read it on the board."
I could keep writing for days but mu personal favorite was my OLD RN.
Who decided to wait in my room as i sleept to find out why I no longer wanted him to be my RN any longerresponse / report this review -

I took my 8 month old here to be seen for a bladder issue and her not soiling diapers the last few days consistently and our pediatrician recommending a visit to the ER. After an X-Ray they found that she was pretty constipated and it was blocking her bladder from emptying. They wanted to do blood work and give her an IV which I was a little hesitant about and a suppository and a catheter to empty her bladder. The nurses were having a hard time finding her veins in either arm or wrist and told me that they needed to try before calling anyone from the neonatal unit because they will get mad. They were unsuccessful in their first attempt. Then another nurse came in who had a title something along the lines of "IV specialist". She then proceeded to poke her and jiggle the needed back and forth in both arms before I told her that was enough. As she was pulling the needle out she happened to hit a vein out of "luck" and they were able to get her blood for testing. Then comes the catheter, at this point I was already about to just walk out but I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt because I know I have had a hard time with small veins as a child. 2 different nurses attempted to get a catheter in while my daughter is screaming bloody murder. I told them that is enough and I am not okay with this and to stop. Although the staff was nice I am highly disappointed in their expertise and the fact that they would not call someone who specifically deals with babies or infants. Needless to say I will NEVER return to this hospital for ANYTHING!

Side note.nurses and techs were great! Nice attitudes and informative. Even with a full capacity hospital to take care of!!! Thank you ladies and men for the fine job you have done and continue to do!!!!!!

Not room enough here to sing the praises I have for ER as well as experiences after being admitted on several occasions. Cannot understand negative comments. I do not know now, whether they have hospitalist or if your personal doc still visits. THAT might be a different story. Excellent care throughout hospital, great food, sense of humor where and when needed. Would I want to go anywhere else for any medical need??? Nope!!!! Would I go anywhere else? Nope - did not have good experience in Lakeland with trauma head experience!!!

I'm 8 months pregnant and was transported here in an ambulance because I was in an accident on the freeway. I waited for 7 hours for an ultrasound to see if my baby was still alive!! Was not checked on even though zi came through the ER. Rude and inconsiderate staff!!. The Ultrasound tech Elizabeth was on her phone twice during my ultrasound and didn't explain to me anything about what she was examining so I had to ask questions to clarify. Discharge was an additional 2 hrs. Very unprofessional, you should be ashamed!

This is the first time I write a review and is because they deserve it. This is the first time I have been treated so well in a hospital. Their service is excellent! From the moment I got there for my surgery until the moment I left I received an extraordinary customer service. The nurses, staff, and doctors were all amazing. Thank you very much for everything. I highly recommend South Baptist Hospital.

I was accompanying my mother-in-law in her knee replacement surgery and all the attention of the hospital was excellent, the nurses very loving , the therapists, the food; really everything; I have no complaint of anything.

Received a random missed call from their number, called it back and was told there was no way to know which department it came from or who may have called me. The woman on the phone was extremely rude and sassy with me, on top of not giving a rats ass about getting me any help on the matter. Pathetic.
