Stay away! They are crooks. They wanted me to come back for a check up to their urgent care department and it was billed as an ER visit which end up costing almost $1,000 (after insurance). Of course they didn't disclose that's how it would be billed. I wasn't seen at the ER. Makes me very sad that people think this ok.
How great can a hospital be. Employees were friendly and empathetic
This was by far the most awful and traumatic experience of my life. None of the nurses were nice, I was treated so badly and like an annoyance the whole 12 hours I was there for surgery. I am beyond unsatisfued and disappointed.
I came here for the delivery of my first born baby boy! I was very new to the area in the last weeks of pregnancy and they made sure to help me and make sure that I was taken care of. All the staff from the help desk, to the cafeteria staff all the way up to my nurses and doctors we're just amazing. The delivery floor and mother and baby unit were excellent. Clean, there want a time that i didn't feel taken care of and safe. I will have my second child there when the time comes. I was a fantastic experience..thank you!!
I came to LRH ER and ended up being admitted and having surgery. For the past 10 years I lived in citrus county and that hospital is horrible. I couldn’t believe how amazing the staff was here. I should have written down the nurses names so I can give them the recognition they deserve, but I was out of it. I know I was somewhat of a difficult patient as I was in a lot of pain and wasn’t allowed to eat, but they made me feel better and definitely seemed to love their jobs. This is the best hospital I have ever been to.
Took my son to the ER. They were courteous , caring and professional. Thanks to the staff for helping us when we needed it badly.
My mother went here 3 times and they sent her home saying nothing was wrong. but she had trouble seeing and standing up so we finally went to bartow regional where she was diagnosed and treated first visit lord knows this place should be shut down They only care about getting you out of there.
Wonderful Hospital! Staff from the CNAs, To the Doctors have been great.. Hospitals are not the most fun place to visit, but I really appreciate how welcoming and comfortable the employees here were with my Mother. Thank you for taking such great care of the person who brought me into this world. Two thumbs up!
Fantastic staff with pleasant and professional attitudes. The security staff are also fantastic except for "top flight security" worker, Terrell. He is completely Unprofessional and rude. I was visiting my sister in law who was involved in a horrific accident. I was already checked in up stairs with a name sticker/tag but after a few hours, I decided to get myself a cup of coffee from the cafeteria. I then attempted to return up stairs but I unfortunately ran into security officer, "Terrell" who demanded that I check in again because it was 8pm and they require all visitors to do so. I was a little upset because the line was so long and I already checked in earlier. However I did what he commanded me to do and stood in line for another checkin. I then started speaking to another visitor who had also checked in previously about how we both felt the process was a little redundant. For some reason Terrell took personal offense to my comment and began repeating to me " I'm just doing my job". However I couldn't understand why he was speaking to me directly. I never asked him what his job requirements were nor did I give him push back. As I signed in AGAIN for my second visitor sticker, I thanked the other security officer behind the desk for how pleasant she was. Once again, Terrell began yelling at me " I'm pleasant and I'm just doing my job". At this point he was beginning to provoke me and appeared to want a verbal altercation. I don't understand why he treated me this way or why he felt the need to express himself in that manner. His behavior was completely unprofessional. I was later told he was fairly new. He should absolutely be retrained. He is a complete embarrassment to the LRHMC family and to the rest of the security staff. They deserve better than someone of better substance and professionalism.
Dr. Smith and the entire staff we came in contact with were wonderful. They took very good care of my Mother, no time was wasted. Excellent Er Doc & nurses taking care to a whole new level!!!!!!! Thank you ❤️
My sister is laying in pain right now and they won't give her nothing. This is the worse hospital you can go to. From experience being there and my family too. They are always rude . The treat you like your an addic if you as for something for pain . They won't give you nothing for the pain you are having.
Great healthcare facility, fast efficient services for routine and emergency help. I have only a few visits here and found the professional behavior extremely high of all staff members. Proud to recommend this facility to anyone.
The pediatrics unit is amazing! My daughter has been here twice in 2 weeks and they take amazing care of her. Clean, friendly and helpful. Better than any other hospital I have ever been to back in Maine. Thank you to all the wonderful nurses!!!
MATERNITY REVIEW | We had the best nursing staff for delivery and our 5 day stay! Each of them was helpful, kind, knowledgeable. This is the only reason, I'm giving this review 3 stars. If I were reviewing based only on the nurses, it would be 5 stars! HOWEVER, THE DELIVERY DOCTORS HERE ARE AWFUL! We were planning a birthing center delivery, when my water broke before 37 weeks. So we had to come here. TIP: IF THIS IS YOUR OPTION, DO YOUR HOMEWORK EARLY! While it was a change in expectation, we were prepared for this. The first doctor we met in maternity triage, recommended a treatment that has serious side effects and is not recommended by the FDA for induction. We had researched this and declined. He was willing to let us wait the maximum amount of time to see if labor started naturally. Then at shift change we met Dr. O. He seemed nice enough, but there were subtle clues that he wasn't willing to listen to me the woman and the patient. In our birth plan we were very specific about the type of environment we wanted if at all possible (Quiet, calm). When I was in the middle of pushing, he came in very loud and agitated. The nurses had already told me to push down, not out. But he started YELLING AT ME IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CONTRACTION. I was so upset, he completely broke my focus, my husband stepped in to advocate for what was possible and what we had requested. He refused to listen and began escalating a situation. Because "he was the doctor" he never back down to listen to my or my patient advocate. Had we been at a different point in labor, we would have requested a different doctor all together. Fortunately the nurses took great are of us and understood what we needed to have a successful epidural-free, induced birth. One of my main concerns going in was my blood levels, because I was very anemic during pregnancy. Dr. O forgot to order a blood panel for after delivery and it took the doctors 3 days to catch it - because they would only come in when I was alone and I was so weak and tired, I couldn't think. When they finally did listen to what I could tell them, my blood level was down almost to 6 (12.5+ is normal). I ended up having a blood transfusion and had to stay at least 1 extra day. DO YOUR HOMEWORK - WHAT YOU WANT AND KNOW YOUR PATIENT RIGHTS BEFORE YOU GET HERE! DON'T BE AFRAID TO HAVE A PLAN TO REQUEST A DIFFERENT DOCTOR. IT MIGHT JUST SAVE YOUR LIFE.
We required service at the pediatric ER, all staff was wonderful, helpful and they did everything to make our visit a good experience. Very professional and compassionate they showed genuine interest in helping our son. Mrs. Kristy the nurse did an excellent job keeping us posted of what was going on with our son, she handled him in a very special way, and Dr. Rhodes also took time to Talk to us and carefully listened to our concerns, I'm very pleased with this hospital, we drove a long way to get there and it was worthed. More people was involved in our sons care but I don't remember their names. A Big THANK YOU to all the staff at the check in desk and specially the pediatric unit.
