Dr.Martinez did excellent surgery on my dad, but spent almost 2 years trying to heal his wounds on his feet from him staying in bed at hospital. And the MRSA he acquired from the Baer Hugger mattress used during surgery.

This is the worst place ever. Call a vet he knows more than this whole facility. Sat here for 5 hours waiting on anybody. They took Cray of the Wrong leg. The right one was purple. How do you get that wrong?

This is the worst place to go. It takes a long time to even get back to see a Dr and then you wait for another long time to see the Dr. The people that work there are not nice. My husband was in the hospit be ore he passed. The nurses would laugh and not take care of the people that are in there. They even kept his food from him, they would tell him that they will leave his food on the counter until it gets cold and they even said they will spit in his food. I told him not to eat anything they have i will bring him food.

I had an exceptional experience with my visit to Lake Wales. Nurse Jullett was an expert at her job- she came to my room quite often to check on me and see how I was doing. Nurse Jullett also made me feel comfortable assuring me that everything would be okay.

The nurse down in the E.R. on Tuesday August 29th was great. Her name was DAWN. She was very helpful. Very quick on everything. She is a great nurse. Thank you DAWN. I was in with my blind friend Tim. Hats off to DAWN.

As a local that has grown up with this hospital. This review is for those that are from out of town. Unless your life is in danger, avoid this place! Go to Winter Haven or Lakeland for quality medical care.

Edit: Doctors are reckless and recommended a deadly dosage of prescription medication to someone very close to me. Thankfully their recommended dosage was not followed.

Don't ever come here to get a mammogram, unless you want to feel like a number. Horrible. Not one moment of eye contact.

Awful. While the ER is very good the secondary care is worse than that of a third world country. They sent my wife to stay overnight and from the time we were placed in her room it took the nurses department 4 hours to finally come in and take Vitals. They had no clue that we were even there. They Should fire the entire floor minus nurse Julie who was a professional and caring.

This hospital is garbage. I've had two visits. The first was 6 years ago because I couldn't breathe without pain. I waited an hour to be moved to a hallway surrounded by empty rooms because there was no bed they said. This was promptly followed by a DR coming up to me to ask what was wrong. After telling him the symptoms and him feeling around, no tests were given by the way, I was informed I was cramping and charged $3,000. After leaving unsatisfied in intense pain I went to Heart of Florida to learn I had two broken ribs.

A month back now I went again thinking it would be different due to the fact I had insurance this time. I had serious pain under my knee cap that after weeks of dismissing I had finally caved into. Boy was I wrong, I waited for a few minutes to be moved to guess what? That's right ladies and gentleman, a hallway surrounded by empty rooms because there was "no open bed." As I sit there next to three empty rooms then here comes the DR. He feels around my knee a little bit and tell me it's arthritis. After my previous visit I decided to ask for an X-ray, thinking surely this could provide a solid result. After the X-ray the nurse was sent to discharge me, no information or anything. So I asked to see the DR, after politely informing him he's paid to see me he told me I don't pay him and that it was arthritis and to take ibuprofen it would be alright. $4,000. Following this visit my girlfriends aunt who works at Lakeland Regional insisted I get it checked again. Sure enough, torn ACL. This by far is the worst hospital I have ever been to. Going here is the equivalent of staying home and waiting to die. Do not go.

All this hospital is worried about is thinking someone is there for their next fix. I could care less about that. I go to the hospital when it's an emergency. Last time severe neck pain and I was put in the room with the dental chair. Nowhere to lay down and didn't even get a follow up from the sucky nurse practitioner. Noone explained what was going on. I will never go back and continue to refer people to other hospitals.

In my 51 years on this earth, I have never been treated more poorly in a medical environment than I was by Andrew Stafford, a medical "professional" at Lake Wales Hospital. His bedside manner was so abrasive and rude that I left without being treated. I will be contacting the hospital administrator.
