Night shift nurses in the pediatric ICU service sucks. They take no consideration of the sick child's parents that has to stay with them. They keep the lights on all night. Never can get any rest. I know they have a job to do but come on be considerate of the family..smh I'm moving my child very 1st chance that I get. They're attitudes are very smug and they think they know it all.

My wife came home from her job which is out of town. She had been complaining of prickly pain and bad diarrhea for a couple of weeks so when she returned I took her to Stop Joseph's emergency. The place wasn't that busy in the waiting room yet she waited for 2 hours and still wasn't seen. So she went to desk to ask what was going on and they said she was next. So we sit and wait and watch others that had only waited 15 minutes go right into the their rooms to be seen. So I went to the desk and asked to speak to a manager and I'm told there isn't one. So we left went to Florida Carrolwood hospital and didn't even sit and wait went straight to a room. I guess if you might be dying you'll be seen quick at St Joe's bit for nothing else we will go elsewhere for our treatment.

This Hospital is awesome!!!!!! Every issue I've had with my daughter which I would take her to Brandon Hospital and they would say nothing is wrong with her but then I would take her here and they would find things that would explain why she was in so much pain. St. Joseph has always fixed the issue and never given me any issues. Only one issue I would fix is probably when I call in into the Hospital pertaining to my pregnancy please just transfer me to the pregnancy side and not say I don't know without a resolution. Other than that St. Joseph Hospital is made for children. I'm really happy with the service. I refuse to trust in Brandon since I had a lot of bad experiences as far as giving me medicine and then me fainting from it during my pregnancy.

Wonderful staff. Wait time was fast, easy, straight to the point. My little sister had surgery for a broken leg to get a cast and pins put in. The nurses were so kinda and did everything to cheer her up and ease her fears. She got a cute teddy bear from a very nice guy (sorry forgot the name) who brought in a bag of them, it lifted her spirits so much. The anesthesiologist and every doctor who came in was very explanatory and to the point. Dr. Jester worked fast and was very kind and did a wonderful job. Waiting room was comfy, with a charging station and fresh coffee. Very nice place. And the children's unit is very beautiful. Loved the decorations. Only downside was getting around the hospital and the parking lot since we have never been there before but there was a lovely volunteer helping us. but everything was great!!

My son was hospitalized overnight and had surgery for a fractured wrist. The orthopedic surgeon was great. I can't complain there! But, I have spent literally almost 10 hours on the phone going between insurance company and just about every dept. in the hospital to get the bill corrected. They made a mistake on the authorization with insurance and nobody either knows or cares how to change it. They just want to threaten to send the bill to collections. So, unless you plan to pay completely out of pocket, avoid this place.
