I read some of the reviews and wonder if I was in the same hospital. Went in on a Thursday for triple bypass, released the following Monday. Dr Stapleton and his team were fantastic as was the cardiac wing watching over me. Never asked for anything I did not get, right down to a very sympathetic ear when needed. I thank all of them for their caring attitude for my complete stay. My deepest appreciation.

If this is a review of Fawcett spa and sports facility, I was extremely pleased with the PT treatments I received there.
Would recommend to all my friends. Would return for further treatment and firvsocisl use of the facility.

Not even going to start. I would go on for an hour. Nurses are fine generally. The doctors were like the 3 stooges. You take your life in your own hands (their hands) how about the hammer, auger bit and hand saw.

Dr. called ahead to ER as I needed to be admitted due to unresolved issue. Got to ER and woman started asking me what I was there for through the glass. So much for privacy. I stated that my dr. had called ahead and spoke to dr.. She told me to have a seat and it would be multiple hours before I would be seen. So much for kind compassionate care. I left without getting any help.

Through the E.R I was admitted to 4W IMCU Cardiology . Although they were very busy I was taken in by the most wonderful group nursing care staff i have ever been acquainted with . True to their word they kept me posted as to all that was being plan for me . Very attentive to detail and full of compassion . Special thank you to a Nurse named Hillary . All the way to discharge I was thought of as a person and not just a number. God Bless you all and all that you do. Sincerely Albert Juarez

The Good, the bad and the ugly> The good , my wife was admitted thru the emergency room and and the medical care was great and probably life saving. The bad, a specific GI doctor was requested and failed to respond for 3 days,(my opinion,if your weekend is more important then a hospitalized patient it is time to hang up your white coat). The ugly, I filed a complaint with the administration about the lack of service and was assured it would be investigated and I would get answers. Well 7 days later I have yet to get a response.I can only conclude they bury their mistakes and cover for those who don't do their job.

I had a hip replacement performed in May 2017.
Everything from my pre-op visit at the hospital and information session at the Sports Medicine/PT dept., were first class!

Infection control was extremely high on their list. Surgical scrubbing lotions and instruction were given to be used for a few days prior to your procedure. Prevention, prevention, prevention

All the care I received throughout my surgery process and the post care in the orthopedic recovery care department was excellent!

    I recommend Fawcett!

If I could give this hospital a zero, I would. My mom was admitted for a fairly routine surgery that required a 3 to 5 day stay. 32 days later she died in that hospital because of the negligence of some nurses and the unsanitary conditions. We spoke to her admitting doctor who encouraged us to report our issues because it wasn't the first time he'd heard the same complaints. I'm sure I'll get a response to this review telling me to call and further discuss our family's issues. We have done that and nobody wants to call us back. No surprise there. If you want good care, do not go to Fawcett Memorial Hospital! Hopefully no other family will have to suffer as ours has because of a such negligence.

I was admitted Thursday & was not looking forward to staying however once I got up to my room & met my nurses, my attitude changed. I was on the cardiac floor where I had April & JoAnne as my day time nurses & let me just say, they are the true definition of a nurse. Both were extremely helpful, caring, loving & made me feel like I was just as important as any other patient would be. If I had any issues, they would find a solution. They both were nothing positive & all around amazing!

It was a great experience and the staff was just great..also my husband has always had a great experience. Thank you!!!! Until I got your bill the other day for around three hours the bill just the hospital bill its self was over 3,000.00 and the doctor bill who I saw for less than i minute. I guess since I do not qualify for any and I mean any insurance out there I am out of luck. Would like to have talked with the doctor and got more info on the problem I had. At any rate the experience over all was great.

I am an admitted "teaching hospital snob." I am an RN. I have worked in small and very big hospitals. I think that it gives me a different perspective as a patient. I was impressed by the staff, all the staff, from nursing to housekeeping, dietary and all the various others. Each person that I came in contact with was attentive and engaged in my care. I had two surgeries with two separate in-patient admissions. In preparation, I had multiple out-patient admissions. The small hospital neighborhood feel was wonderful. I can't say enough about how much I was impressed by Fawcett Memorial Hospital and the staff.
