Staff is excellent, nice finishes, super clean. I had a problem with the thermostat in my room. Maintenance was there right away and within 15 minutes I was tucked in and comfy! You can tell everyone there takes pride in their job. We will definitely stay here any time we are in town visiting our Northbrook client 🙂
nice hotel near to some great eating places. has a nice concierge lounge and plenty of parking for free. rooms are nice and the downstairs lounge bar area is cool with music and free drinks some nights.
Nice hotel, good location, super super comfy beds. A little noisy from being off the highway but not that bed. Two negatives are small bathrooms. Only fits one person (shower has good water pressure). Also WiFi is only free to Gold and higher rewards members which seems crazy (especially when the cheaper Courtyard down the street is free??).
Came for a wedding. Don’t let the old grimy outside deceive you. The inside is newly renovated. The wedding was lovely. And the rooms were relatively comfortable. Bathrooms in rooms are small. But otherwise a great experience!
Love this hotel. It's in close proximity to stores and other attractions such as the Chicago Gardens and just 15/20 minutes to the lake front. The people were very nice and the hotel itself was clean and beautiful. I love the library area as well as the pool. It also helps that this hotel has a Ruth's Chris steakhouse attached to it.
Between the free parking and most reasonably priced bar menu, this hotel has it all. Club lounge is great, amenities at the front desk/lobby are consistent with a higher category of hotel, staff are nice and helpful, and their room capacity is unmatched. Great hotel.
Absolutely wonderful experience. They even warmed milk for by son (2 years old) who won't sleep without his warmed milk. The lounge attendant was super helpful. Thanks for a great stay.
The room was fine, but there were a couple quirks. For one, there were bottles of water in the room that appeared to be complimentary, until you read the fine print that they would be $3.75 added to your bill each. The vending machine down the hall had water at half that price, but it didn't work. Additionally, I had to visit the front desk to get toothpaste, and rather than give it to me, they had it delivered to my room 5 minutes later. Strange and inconvenient. The room was fine, though.
My group got a room here on hot deals and the lobby looked phenomenal when we arrived, but everything after that was downhill. The "queen" size beds are actually full, which when you're sharing beds with coworkers doesn't leave room for comfort. The bathroom ceiling had water stains and we found a bug in the morning. Overall the room was small for a two queen room. Glad we got it for a low price, but I would've sprung a few more bucks for quality. The staff was also not the most knowledgeable about places to go in the area. We went to the hotel bar and the drinks were very strong, and even though we got the same drink, they came in different glasses. Definitely won't be returning here to stay.
Great Hotel. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I gave four stars out of five because we were told incidentals would be $50 per night charged to my card however my card was charged nearly 100% of my total bill extra for incidentals that I did not use. Now I have to wait for the credit to be applied back to my debit card.
Great location and property. Multiple restaurants on site. Close to Botanical gardens
First time here. From Front Desk to Bell Desk to Housekeeping everyone was nice. Haven't tried the food yet. Room is nice and clean. Would Love to stay here again in the near future.
The Renaissance Chicago hotel is located in Chicago, Illinois. The hotel is easy to access and not far from local attractions. There is a hot tub, swimming pool, and a large excercise room located below the ground floor of the hotel. There is also comfy long couches found below the ground floor and possibly in the locations in the hotel. There are two elevators in the hotel. The service of the hotel is very professional in their conduct and work ethic. When house keeping comes in the beds are made and towels are replaced. Most of the WiFi is not free and the water bottles provided in the room are not free as well and are charged for each bottle opened. There is large amounts of seating on the ground floor with many different kinds of seats. There is a bar on the ground floor as well. Overall I am very pleased with my stay here. I would come back.
This hotel is not worth the money. From standing water ankle deep during my shower to buckets in the hallway to catch dripping water, this is a poorly maintained hotel. In addition to that the reader entry to the hotel is jot secured and anyone can walk in with or without a key card. The club lounge is overrated and not worth any extra money. Seriously, the courtyard by Marriott is much better. Don't stay here.
The hotel was the cheapest one with a pool and was in a good neighbourhood. The staff made us feel extremely welcome and their service was top notch and they thoroughly explained the different services they offer. They texted us about 30 minutes after we settled in to see how we liked our room. The hotel's decor was very lovely and soothing. I'm definitely going to have to visit another time
