The hotel looks great and the staff is really nice and helpful. They seem to still be under construction and there's also a lot of road work nearby, which makes driving there a bit difficult. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Decent amount of space as well. I'd stay here again if the need arose.

The staff was generally very friendly at the hotel but that was the extent of the positives. The room had too many issues to count. Damaged and dirty walls and ceiling, toilet would barely flush, power outlets were broken or had scorch marks on them, extremely small and uncomfortable pillows for the bed, and uncomfortable decor. The room is large but has relatively little usable space.

There was also no sound insulation for the room. Could hear everything in the hallway and the rooms above very clearly. There were also late night outdoor clubs playing until 4am each night which I suppose added a massage aspect with the vibrations, but added little to the ambience and made it very difficult to sleep.

Also be aware that there are no restaurants in the area so the only options are when the hotel restaurants are open (which vary due to private events) or ordering delivery.

Unique experience. Reasonable pricing. I'd do it again. The customer service mindset is spot on. If you enjoy nightlife, Ravel has two venues on site.

This is a wonderful hotel with the great views. The bathrooms were large and clean. There is also an awesome club and restaurant on the top of this hotel. Penthouse 808 the food and the views are wonderful. The only reason I took off a star just because we had a few flies in our room I think from the door being left open when they cleaned it. Other than that I had a great time and I will be booking this hotel again when I am back in New York.

Do not stay hear if you have trouble sleeping with loud music on. The club on the top of the hotel does not close until 4 a.m. so you will hear the music and the people until the Club closes down. Still an awesome hotel.

Excellent stay at the Ravel hotel! The rooftop was a really cool vibe and great for pictures. The rooms were nice and modern with a good view. The vibe of the hotel felt really modern but very homely still. Especially because of the staff, Johnathan and Jay are some of the names I recall right now but every single member of staff was excellent and helpful. The shuttle service was also very useful. All this and at a decent price and just across the river from manhattan so it was really close to everything we wanted. Our only issue would be the breakfast which was kind of bland and boring. Everything else was excellent and I'd definitely encourage you to stay here if you were considering!

It's a nice hotel, a bit of a walk from the local subway stations but the shuttle helps with that. There's not much around the area but it's really quick to get into Manhattan and Brooklyn which is great. Room was good, small patches of shabbiness but I wouldn't let it stop me staying there. I didn't like breakfast and the bar could do with some TLC. We stayed Sunday night til Thursday night and there was no noise.

Booked on Orbitz. We got a 1st floor room right by the elevator leading up to the night club. Noise level was what you would expect. Double doors did little to attenuate the racket. Metal plates on street right outside the window. I was the meat in a noise sandwich. They should put Ambien in the mini-bar. A few signs of wear and tear in the room but not terrible. Might have been better on a quieter floor but they insisted there were no other rooms available. Glad to see the area is making an attempt to come upscale. I won't bother with the Ravel again but if I could have gotten a quieter room I might have considered it for future visits.

Located just across the east river from Manhattan. The ravel hotel is just a few subway stops away from the main attractions of NYC. The hotel offers a free shuttle to and from the closest subway station. Breakfast is very good. The view of Manhattan from the rooms is very nice.

Great place to stay. Very modern. Staff was ready to assist, anytime! Was very nice when we asked for shuttle service more then once, to beat traffic, and drive us to nearby subway station (s). Will be back again :)
