Beautiful grounds with lots of trails. Massive coy pond and fish. Great food. Comfortable beds. Highly recommended
Very nice, very quaint place to stay. Staff are wonderful. Food is fantastic but pricey.
We was having family photos taken here today and standing very close to the road. The grounds keeper here whipped his car in reverse and backed up very quickly while our children was beside us and two older couples were walking just ahead of us. Jumped out of his car and was being very rude telling us we had to leave the area due to an event. I understand the part we needed to leave however he was very rude and acted dangerously in his vehicle while our children and others were near the road way! We told him he didn’t need to act that way and he could had really hurt someone driving the way that he did! He basically could care less and acted like a true ass!
Beautiful location! We especially love sitting out by the fire pit at night.
I stayed here for the first time this past weekend for a UT football game. It is a beautiful and tranquil property. The rooms are cozy and the staff is awesome. I highly recommend this property; for a few bucks more and bit of a drive it beats the chains closer to UT hands down.
Randomly picked RT Lodge to stay at during our trip. The staff is outstanding. The property is great. The meal was top notch! Will definitely come here again.
Classy, cozy, and romantic. RT Lodge is beautiful. The food is divine and the service was impeccable. Great place for a dinner date. After dinner, dont forget to head over to their gorgeously appointed fire pit, complete with rocking chairs (and sometimes, s'mores!) Call and make reservations!
We were here for a wedding. The staff here appeared to genuinely care about the guests, and went above and beyond preparing amenities for us.
My sister got married here last weekend and it was beautiful and the staff were very attentive both during planning and during the actual event. It was nice that all of our out of town guests were able to stay on the premises the night before and the night of the wedding. Also the lodge is only about 10-15 min from the airport. Great weekend and great staff!
The atmosphere and scenery was awsome and the food and entertainment was fabulous. 5 star gold crown all the way.
The RT Lodge is definitely a 5 star venue! The staff have been very attentive, and the grounds are just beautiful. They have a large fire pit that can seat about 20 people and an additional fire "place" on the other side of the building for a more intimate setting.
Worth the visit. Atmosphere was what we expected having dined there many times for other events. Service was attentive during the meal. The Sweet Corn Soup was outstanding as was the Cornmeal Crusted Catfish. My Mixed Green Salad was very tasty and enjoyable. My Pork Tenderloin was okay, but nothing to brad about. The on-line menu says this comes with blackberries, but it was served with yellow and red cherry tomatoes and fried okra. Those southerners who cook okra know that a large okra has become too tough and should not be cooked. I let the waiter know and he informed the chef, but that was it. No offer to replace the okra with another vegetable and no visit from the manager or chef. For me, all it would have taken was an offer of a replacement vegetable and my meal would still been enjoyable. But, here is where RT Lodge stepped up. After getting home I received a call from RT Lodge and Gary, the manager, took care of us and let us know some of the wait staff is still learning table side service. Calling me after I had left is clearly something only an exceptional restaurant would do. We will be back as there are too many good things on the menu yet to try.
