One of our favorite restaurants. Nice selection of food. Love their country fried chicken and their Mac n Cheese. Wonderful atmosphere. Two separate dinning rooms downstairs along with bar and seating area. They also have outdoor dinning out front and in the rear. Also they have dinning upstairs on the second floor. Food is consistent, never a disappointment.
Highly recommend. Also suggest making reservations!

We were lucky to snag reservations for Xmas eve. Lots to choose from on the menu, and all of our choices struck gold. Innovative twists, such as including pickled onions in the salad. The Calabash Fried Seafood included the best fried oysters either of us ever had - plump with just the right amount of firmness, and a flavorful burst when your bite succeeds. YUM!. Healthy pour at the bar. Salmon cooked to perfection, with rice in a pool of tasty sauce. Too full to try dessert, which was too bad, leaving the opportunity to sample on our next visit. Inexpensive in consideration of the food quality and expert service.

Amazing southern dinner. The crab cakes had minimal filling-was all crab and amazingness. I also thoroughly enjoyed their Gouda Mac n cheese. Was a bit much for me to eat alone. I feel this app could be shared due to the size. The atmosphere was perfectly southern and is now a fav for me the next time I come around.

Omg, my new favorite. Food was fantastic and ask for Sarah because she is the best! Great atmosphere/ambiance. Historic, and I hear haunted! Best overall dining experience I've had in a long time.

Some of the best southern food in Charleston! My husband and I find ourselves choosing Poogans at least 75% of the time we decide to eat out downtown, and often when we have out of town visitors as well. The smoked Gouda mac and cheese would be on the menu of my last meal if I was able to choose it! Amazing choice for brunch or dinner!

We had a wonderful server and delicious lunch? The biscuits were light and fluffy, the she crab soup was lemony and rich, and the shrimp and grits were spot on if a little under seasoned. Great spot.

First time at Logan's. The food was AMAZING. Best shrimp and grits I've ever had. The bar had an upscale Victorian feel to it, and the home itself has some history. If you're looking for some authentic southern cooking this is a MUST try. I'll DEFINATELY be back.

Ate here last night, food was well-presented and representative of the region and all tasty. Service was excellent, warm and fast and unobtrusive. It's great to be able to sit outside with your dog, and the bottom gated area is a perfect mix of privacy and interaction. Really liked this place!

Went for Saturday brunch. Had the fried pimento cheese fritters with green tomato jam as an app (really good). We split the pork eggs Benedict and shrimp and grits. Food was good, but not "top notch, unreal" or something like that. Really good and would go again, but not until I hit other spots in Charleston. Ambiance is awesome.

I liked Poogan's overall. It has a great historic feel with lots of history. Thankfully, we were in a room right next to the air conditioner which helped on a sweltering July evening.

It's a bit pricey but the food was solid and plentiful.

I had the fried pork chop and found it pretty tasty. It's a good place for a meal and we enjoyed our evening there.

You'll need a reservation for poogans. Luckily we had one for Friday night but we saw many groups get turned down at the door. Excellent food and cocktails. Great service especially since we had a baby in tow. We had their version of a Moscow mule which is delicious. Our table also had excellent salmon, crab cakes, grits, mashed potatoes and fried chicken. Only downside was that their dessert was so/so. If you have a small party try to ask for a porch seat.

This place is the definition of a nice casual (but not too casual) southern place with all the southern comfort foods on the menu. For lunch we shared the fried green tomatoes and split the BLT with pimento cheese. That sandwich was glorious with all the melty goodness oozing out of the sidesdefinitely not a healthy lunch hahaha.

We also had a few delicious cocktails and our waitress was beautiful both inside and out. A very pleasurable lunch experience and would not hesitate to recommend Poogan's Porch to family and friends.

Great experience in a wonderful little neighborhood in Charleston. I walked over to put my name in from our hotel and was quoted an hour wait time (the food is that good). I ended up getting a call back in 10 minutes saying my table was ready!

I had the crabcakes and a side of grits and my fiance had an order of the shrimp and grits. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I also recommend trying the cocktails. I had a very refreshing cocktail called something like "Cat under the porch" and was a great way to compliment my meal that we had on the upstairs outdoor porch
