Good location , but would not stay there again. Carpet in room was dirty and AC unit spit out mold and mildew balls onto couch and floor when we turned the unit to heat.
Parking lot was dimly lit.
Kitchen unit was nice to have, but bed was crammed into a small alcove and hard to get in and out of bed.response / report this review -

Great price for a good room near everything here. One of the best WiFi connections I've had at any hotel. They do need to invest in some water heater repairs/upgrades. Not enjoying the lukewarm showers. Not a big fan of the channel lineup either. The free breakfast is less than most. No smoking rooms either. :o/

We evacuated from hurricane Irma with our our animals and all. Kate was awesome! They normally don't allow pets but she allowed us and the price was good. Staff was nice and we felt comfortable being there!

First set of rooms smelled awful, sorta like bleach. They upgraded us to new rooms, but one room reeked of mold and the other had dead cockroaches in it. Nice rooms besides smells though. Decent breakfast options such as bagels, toast, oatmeal, and juices. Was super excited they had skim milk as well as 2%!!!

This hotel is convenient to Charleston without the high prices. The staff is friendly for the most part. I would agree with a previous reviewer that cleanliness & maintenance could be improved. We have been here many times over the years, and there is always some maintenance problem.
But the best part of this hotel is the turtles, and alligators out back! Just don't get too close to the gators.response / report this review -

Mainstay Suites too me by surprise. It is a smaller hotel, but what they lack in size, they make up for with amenities. I am staying for a work conference, and was not looking forward to microwave meals for the week (tight budget). But the room included a full sized refrigerator, a dish washer, two burner stove, full size bed, and pull out couch, which has allowed us to cook in the room and fit comfortably, at a reasonable price. The continental breakfast included fruit, muffins, oatmeal, cereal, biscuits and gravy, and yogurt with fixings, as well as really nice coffee and fruit juices. Conveniently located (5 minute drive to get downtown) and includes a pool. The only real downside I have had has been room size (cozy) and that the rooms are only cleaned every three days. Great otherwise!

Easy access to location and stairs and/or elevators enable access to second and third floor. Breakfast is included. Works good for mult-night stays. Front desk helps with any and all issues or questions.

We are here on a weekend trip to celebrate my sister's graduation and it has been wonderful! The staff has been helpful even when things may not have worked out well, and they have helped make our stay smooth and enjoyable.

The room is located in a good location right across the bridge from Charleston. The rooms are nice have full fridges and the service is not bad
