My room attendant rocked ! I felt welcomed and put at ease to sleep comfortable before spending the holidays with my family. Defiantly will recommend to all
I stayed two nights and asked for a late check-out and was told 1230 was the latest. I told that too the house keeper Sunday morning who cleaned room 248. She then came back and said she called the front office and they said I didn't ask for a late check out and that I had to go. I went to the front office and luckily the same girl who I spoke to about the late check out was there. I told her what was said and she said no that no one called and ask. It was good up until the housekeeper did what she did Sunday.
Front desk service was great. Cleaning service was good but forgot to replace my towel. Thankfully I had one of my own. Otherwise, it was nice for a motel. Good pressure on the shower!
I liked the uncarpeted floors. Everything was clean. There was a problem with the shower curtain. It couldn't stay closed all the way.
They didn't charge for our dog. Really love their pet policy. Will use Motel 6 again.
Our stay was for 4 days/3 nights. The staff was very accommodating and nice--I cannot say enough good things about them! Not to mention, I requested an early check in as I have a 2 year old and needed to get some work done--it was honored. I also requested a late check out by 1 hour and it was also honored. Very very helpful when working on the road with a toddler. Location is great--right next to the interstate. Coffee is offered in the lobby each morning. The room was nice and clean (we got one with a fridge and microwave). Each day, the Housekeeper came by to exchange our dirty towels/wash clothes and take the trash. Great group of people!
The reception was excellent. I don't recall his name but he really appreciates veterans and gave me the best offer. Because of him I appreciate Motel 6
I give this 5 stars, keeping in mind that it is a motel 6. There werent any "extras" in the room - no closet, no shampoo, etc. However, the room did look clean and the front desk staff were very friendly and nice. I asked for extra towels and they brought them right up. I was nervous about staying at a motel 6. It was the only place that had anything available at a reasonable price during the eclipse. However, i was relieved to find that the room was totally fine and i have no issues to complain of. As i mentioned before, the staff was really nice too.
Jonna Blackwell at the front desk was wonderful!! She made the stay so pleasant..she was so friendly and helpful, nice smile and great personality.. . we appreciated her very much.
The coffee was nice too in the morning in the office area :)
(I was surprised there was no shampoo available in the room.Only soap.)
The room was filthy. The laminate floors clearly had not been cleaned in a long time. There was mold all over the room: on the walls, on the shelves, on the phone. A previous guest had spilled something under the bed that went rancid. Called the front desk and asked them to clean the floor up and was told they would take care of it. Left the room for a few hours and came back and nothing was done. We would have gone somewhere else but the entire area was booked up for the eclipse. My husband decided to clean the floors himself with one of the washcloths. I've never seen a floor so disgusting. The first time he went over an area the cloth was black. He washed it out and went over the same area again and the cloth was still black. He repeated the process for the whole room until the rancid smell was gone. At least it wasn't carpet so we could clean it ourselves. The sink leaked. The towels had stains all over them; I hope they were actually clean. As bad as the rest of the room was I'm doubting our sheets were freshly laundered especially since my husband found a long hair in the bed as soon as we arrived. It was a roof over our heads for the night and that was it. Will never stay there again and do not recommend it if you can help it. Staff seemed nice except for not actually taking care of our request.
The front desk clerk was nice. The stay was horrible. My church had rooms blocked for our Sunday School convention. I trusted that everything was good. I had two granddaughters with me. A 3 year old and a 13 year old. The hardwood floor was dirty. I wiped the entire floor with a towel. Cleaned room with lysol. The TV did not work. They said it would be fixed the next day. it was not fixed. They offered me another room. We were only staying two nights. I only had one more night. Its was to much with the travel back and fourth to church. The girls had red bumps from something that bit them during the night after the second night. I wish I had left when I saw how dirty the floor was. I was refunded $30. However, I should get all of my $173.64 returned for living a real nightmare. Especially for my beautiful granddaughters.
You generally get what u pay for. The Charlestown, SC location on Ashley Phosphate is the location we stayed at. The staff was friendly. The room (double full bed) was tidy but the floor is bad. Not the worst I have seen but we spent 2 nights and the first night we had to dust our feet off before climbing into bed and this was after washing the black off them. I did leave a note asking the floor be cleaned better and it was cleaned better but still get black foot - just minimal foot dusting required. The room was one of the updated styles you find in most Motel 6 units these days. The building is showing it's age. The rooms are tiny. 2 full beds are squeezed in with a path between. The other side of each bed is against the bathroom wall or the AC unit. All said, I would stay here again if in the area again.
Room was decently clean. Room service was good. Bad area. Had 2 fishing poles stolen out the back of my truck. hotel said oh well your problem. Did not offer any help. Another lady had a navigation system stolen out of her car. Hotel needs security installed.
The room smelled like marijuana and mildew, the bed was dirty, it had dirt and long hairs in several places. I had to call the front desk twice for housekeeping to come. The head housekeeper was uninterested in my complaints. The bed was about to fall apart, the springs were coming through the mattress. It was incredibly noisy, people coming and going all night. I did not feel safe nor did my son. The price was not worth the stay. The only positive about my stay was the front desk. AND THAT'S IT. I will not ever stay at a motel 6 again and will definitely NOT recommend your establishment to anyone.
Beds and pillows were comfortable to my taste. Office responded quickly to questions and needing plug strip for refrigerator/microwave to work. I needed a basic economy clean room for 2 nights and I was satisfied. Location very handy to many things.
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I travel a lot so i see many different hotels. This hotel was very clean. The staff was wonderfully courteous. And the price was good.
I would only look for improvement in the pool area. It is a nice pool, yet because of the weather and relation to the season it was a bit buggy. It could use a skimming a few times a day. :)
I would also love to see some rooms have rugs in them. I understand you are pet friendly and this is the best approach. But to be completely honest , the fact that it has no rugs is the only reason i dont stay at the motel 6 wherever i go. I truly enjoy a tug under me feet and consider it a must when relaxing.
