Lots of skiing real estate. Even when it is crowded, seems to feel like the slopes are quiet. Nice variety of runs for all skier experience. Decent size pub for those who want to warm up. Giant fireplace and well stocked ski shop. Plentiful food choices as well to fill your belly. Prices are fair.

The resort is awesome. Great trail layouts and adequate number of lifts for the size of the hill. Being from Denver, I was impressed with the overall experience. As a snowboarder, it was great. My only recommendation is that if you need rental boots, I’d check all the options in the area. The Head single boa boots are great for normal groomed conditions but since we were lucky to get powder conditions, the boots’ design didn’t cut it. Snow gets under the lip cover at the front of the boot causing the boot to get wet. It didn’t hinder the ride whatsoever but definitely can be improved for comfort. Head is a great brand but that’s my only grievance with a phenomenal experience. Ride on, one love.

My first experience skiing in Michigan in something like 17 years. Great place. Good staff, great for questions and get you boots and skis that fit like a glove. Ski patrol was great for questions on the slope too. Site wasn't too big and not too touristy, we were pointed to the right side of the valley by friends. Good routes and fast lifts. Makes me want to pick up the hobby. Beer at the bar is well priced too!

Much better resort than Boyne. Yes the lifts may be slower but the resort feels vast and welcoming. I love how the lifts are colored! Unfortunately Nubs Nob also suffers from greedy intentions and charges $76 for a lift ticket Again, you can ski in the Rockies and Adirondacks for LESS! Ha! and have access to 5 times the height and acreage (average).

My favorite place to ski in Michigan. Nubs really delivers a great ski experience. Great customer service on the slopes and in the lodge. You can't beat the homemade soups for lunch and prices are reasonable. This is all about skiing!

I was there for a wedding and while the venue was very nice, it baffled me that my friends had to pick up most of the stuff fire their wedding with little help from the staff.

A small, but excellent ski resort. One of my favorites in Northern Michigan because all the hills funnel to the lodge and you don't have to push yourself everywhere unlike the place across the road. The lodge is large and comfortable and the food served within is always great.

A nice place, grooming really is as good as they advertise. The back side and glades are wonderful and the views of little traverse bay and the surrounding area are great!

If you live in northern Michigan, this is where most of the locals ski. Its were I skied for many years. I would recommend it to anyone on a budget. No fancy hotel and restaurant, just great skiing. Its definitely a hidden gem. If you rent your skis, the guys here really know there stuff and treat you like family. If you ski just for the sake of skiing, than this is your resort.

There are a variety of runs for all skill levels, and some of them are quite long compared to other ski resorts in northern Michigan. I like the colored lifts, it makes it easier to navigate. If you have a beginner, I would recommend the free ski area and the purple lift for someone's first experience riding lifts. It would have been awesome if the attendants had wiped off the seats, as they were very wet and our butts got soaked during our first hour. The lodge is spacious and the cafeteria is moderately-priced. You can also bring your own food and sit downstairs.

Nubs is a gem. My favorite place to ski "up north". Super family friendly. Also, I truly feel that the staff that works at Nubs Nob is top notch. Friendly folks that really seem to care if you are having a good experience. Very professionally run and managed, makes me want to come back every year.

Friendly tip, Nubs Pub fills up fast. If you are inclined towards a post slopes beer, be prepared to work hard to find a spot to sit or stand. Well worth it as it is always a nice crowd of locals and visitors. Love it!!!

Good runs. I really didn't do much other than ski. The runs themselves were a bit icy while I was there. I wouldn't blame the ski hill, mostly the weather. That being said many of the runs are quiet short and lead into each other, so you do have to pay attention. Good place to go to mix it up if you've been skiing in the area for a while.
