Nice and clean hotel for the money. Great service and a wonderful view from the north east side on the upper 2 levels.

Clean, regular room. Nothing fancy but perfect for us passing through. Can be a little noisy as you’re right beside the freeway. Lots of semis going by all night. No leaving your window open for fresh air if you want to sleep.
For ownership: PLEASE mount some fans on the wall in front of the treadmills. The workout center was about 80 degrees inside and the ceiling fan does nothing. We almost died running in there.response / report this review -

Great staff, clean. Surprised at the breakfast buffet. They are able to please everyone's taste. Room was spacious and clean. I give it 5 stars!

We got in late and left fairly early, so we didn't really see too much of it. Overall a nice hotel judging by our room. Room was clean and nicely updated for the most part. The balcony was not particularly clean, but it was nice enough for a place to sit and drink a cup of coffee. Parking lot is strangely set up and a little annoying, but not terrible. Location is pretty decent as well. Not much of a walk from downtown and some of the sites. Also conveniently close to the highway, though you will definitely hear it all the time. Sound proofing was clearly not a priority in the design. You can easily hear everyone walking up and down the hall and can hear your neighbors watching TV and such.

This place was so clean and staff was so friendly I was treated like family. The pool and spas were so clean along with with the rooms and breakfast area. Food was good, so many to choose from. Biscuits and gravy, pancakes, bagels, cinnamon rolls, eggs as well as cereal and many others. Kudos to the staff here!

Amazing hotel experience. Employees go above and beyond in friendliness and service. My Service Dog is pampered almost as much as I am and the ADA room we're in is as comfortable and accessible for my non-disabled husband as it is for me (in a wheelchair). They pool is clean, well-maintained and pleasant. The beds are unusually comfortable. The decor is attractive and relaxing. The grounds are well-maintained. And the breakfast bar has good-tasting healthy choices as well as "vacation fare." The WiFi is fast and reliable. All in all, it's been a premium experience.

This hotel has some of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on in a hotel! The free breakfast was well done with a lot of variety (not just cereal and donuts). Also, the pool area was nice, and my daughtet loved it.

Dependable place to stay. The rooms were nice and clean. Good beds, but the sheets did not quite cover the matress. Staff was generally friendly. TV picture quality was SD.

Top notch service. Clean bathroom/bedsheet (no bed bugs) with included small fridge. Complimentary breakfast with lots of stuff to choose from. Was recently renovated (as of 05/16), so you will still smell some paint. Try visit it in a few weeks from now, especially when the weather will be much nicer by then.

Rooms at the hotel are larger and the beds are more comfortable than at other Holiday Inn Express hotels I've been to.
The hotel's facilities were maintained in excellent condition and the whole place was very clean.
Location in Mackinaw city is very good, and you have view to the Mackinac Bridge from one side of the hotel. Due to the proximity to the highway there may be some noise from trucks leaving the bridge, but that didn't bother me.

The staff was mostly good. The location is great. However, they were renovating an entire floor while I was there, so we couldn't get the room we wanted. The room we got wasn't fully upgraded to the new style, yet, which was unfortunate, considering the price was the same as new ones. One of the ladies bringing out breakfast was a little rude. She was foreign, so it might have just been culture clash, but she inserted herself in front of guests trying to get food just to move things around or check stock. Stuff I've seen other staff stand back and wait for. Not a bad stay, at all, but needs some improvement, compared to other Holiday Inns.
