Walking into the lobby, the hotel seemed promising, but digging deeper, some aspects were lacking.

The lobby was nice and rustic with a gas fireplace. The pool was warm and clean and the hot tub was hot. The hotel room was clean but smelled kind of musty. The fan in the bathroom didn't work. The breakfast bar had over-ripe apples, un-ripe bananas, and older baked goods. The waffles were okay. There was a hot plate but it was unplugged and empty. If the whole experience could match the entrance and lobby, the experience could have been much better.

My family and extended family have stayed here many times in the past and found it to be decent. However, I made a reservation and then within hours had to cancel due to a medical emergency and got charged $132.00.

Will Never stay here again. I would crawl on my belly from Mackinaw or Petoskey (or sleep in the gutter) before I'd put another dime in the criminal pockets of these thieves.

BS platitudes from hotel staff are useless. Policy is not law. I'll be sure to tell anyone that travels to the area to avoid this property.

Loved the stay there! Great friendly staff and good breakfast! Only complaint would be that the pool/ hot tub water seemed salty. The water didn't even go in my mouth and I could taste it.

So my bf stayed here for his work fist they were ok with my servise dog then gave him issues before I was headed up with my servise dog they wanted all this paper work and then after they said ok.. finally then when I showed up the staff was very rude very unfriendly and it took me 2 hours to get change for vending machines and the rooms were very dirty and I kept getting bit on my legs and ankles room servise was horrible and found giant spider's in the room no one's ever at the front desk all in all it was the worst stay I ever had only thing the pool had good temp.. I will not recommend this hotel to any one ever they made it very hard on me for me to have my servise dog with me. Just horrible place.

The room was very clean, the staff was very friendly, the pool room was the perfect temp. And we really enjoyed our stay and will return in the future.

I had a jacuzzi in my room. Otherwise it is a fairly standard country hotel. There is a small breakfast in the morning. Not a lot of things around, but there is a great bike trail across the street.

Room was large and clean. Bed was comfy. Breakfast was alllllll white carbs, that's my only complaint, besides the awful "fitness center". Pool was nice.

There isn't much around the hotel but the Airport. But for convenience, it does the trick. The room was pretty good and the people amazing. They were than happy to help in anything you needed. If it was for that, probably would lose 2 stars for that alone. Very admirable and likable. I had a good night's rest as well.

We went to swim in the pool. They recently switched from saline to chlorine and its noticeable. But the water is warm and clean. The front desk is always friendly.

Room must not have been used for a while because the were dust webs in the ceiling and floor corners. This is an older property that could use updating. The hotel "smells" old. The breakfast was typical hotel food with waffles, cereal, and sausage gravy. The sausage gravy did not look appetizing so I got the waffles. No nonstick spray for the iron, so waffle had to be destroyed to get it out. The only hotel in Pellston, but you'd be better off driving 10 miles to Petosky.

Staff was friendly. The cleanliness of the room was not up to par. The cleanliness of the pool was not either. I think the hotel could use some updating and it would feel cleaner. Breakfast was decent. I would have hoped for a different selection since we stayed 2 nights. (Maybe even just offering 1 or 2 different items). I also waited around for a half hour to get towels for the pool when there was a 'back in 5 minutes' sign on the desk. Overall I would not feel comfortable recommending this hotel to anyone I knew staying in the area.
