I had 5 surgeries here in the last 14 months due to breast cancer and reconstruction as inpatient and ambulatory .The care I received from nurses , Drs pre testing personal is amazing .i live an hr away from it but the care they provide is worth the travel
This is an amazing hospital. The staff is friendly and helpful. They know what they are doing and they are great at their job. Sometimes they can be busy but they do their best to answer your every need and question and make you comfortable.
I gave birth at this hospital at Katz and it was the best experience ever. The doctors, nurses and receptionists were amazing, they were amazing and caring about me and the baby. I was induced and they were very informative about every procedure I was undergoing, the nurses were quick and caring. The recovery room treatment was amazing, they're all private rooms and they pretty much cater and treat you great. Me and my baby were well taken care of, I'm so glad that I came here and recommend it to anybody who is expecting.
Always have a good experience at LIJ North Shore Hospital. Valet parking available. But it's better to find a street parking spot. Highly recommend this state of the art hospital 🏥.
I was in a car accident yesterday (an elderly lady ran the light and T-boned me). Both me and my son were in the car. The ambulance took me here because it was a trauma hospital. I must say the doctors, nurses, and all of the other staff we encountered were so helpful and caring. My son was on the opposite side of impact so thank God his injuries were minor, but I was in a lot of pain and worried. The doctors made sure I received every possible X-ray and CT SCAN necessary. I am just so thankful that these people took really good care of us and didn't allow us to go home until they were sure that we were absolutely ok.
I had a very pleasant stay. No complaints at all. Wonderful staff. Cafeteria great, facility spacious & clean.
I have been sitting in the emergency room for 15 hours and counting. Wife came in because of food poisoning (she is pregnant as well) but OB never showed.. vascular reports took more than 6-hrs to come. We were placed in the hallway and stayed there the whole time. There is no place to sit for family members who are with the patient because the hallways would become too crowded for beds to move. It felt that the billing personnel showed up to our hallway bed more than doctors or nurses.
Only positive:
Non-medical staff are very friendly and really try to help. A few people who wear black scrubs with the tag "Ed Tech" were extremely helpful and constantly checked on me and wife to see if we're comfortable.
Avery- who was handing out snacks as a volunteer was really friendly.
It was a worst experience with parking system. We lost our ticket and parking staff was asking for 4 times extra money , My boss showed them visitor id card time to enter in the hospital ,Then ask to go and check with security officer and no one was available to help. Luckily we found ticket inside the car and showed to parking staff which was not even half hr time used for parking. That guy was very rude to us and reacted like nothing happened. It was so disrespectful.
After careful considering I write this review and I plan on following up with patient relations. I was misdiagnosed by neurologist at this hospital which could have result in to permanent paralysis. Thank God God had another plan. My advice to neurological staff take the time to rule out everything. That can make a big difference in patients life. I felt that my case was ruled in the quickest diagnosis so that rehabilitation facility would be held responsible. I believe neurologist should meet regroup realize one bad decision could lead to another decision.
I got the best medical care from highly qualified team of professionals. Who exhibited self -confidence, hospitable and very compassionate about their specialization. Am highly impressed.
Hello there!
My name is Juan Perez, I'm at the North Shore University Hospital at the very moment. And I most definitely want to share with you how astonish & happy I am to know that there could be such a great & efficient group of nice people that work within the same goal: to make you feel the way I feel right now. I feel very very happy and confident for choosing this Hospital. This is my second time here and I have no words to describe my appreciation for everybody that I've spoken to and that have treated me so far. I personally thank God first, and then, America for people and Hospitals like this. Thank you North Shore University Hospital, keep up your good work!
Malpractice and negligence. If I could give this hospital zero out of 5 I would. My grandmother passed away this week from a heart attack caused by treatment/medication for severe colitis. The doctors in this hospital did not diagnose her properly and for weeks she was suffering with pain and inflammation with the wrong medication that wasn't improving her condition at all. They kept dismissing her to go home and saying she will be fine. She was so bad at one point she couldn't even walk. We ended up finding out at Mount Sinai Hospital how severe her condition was last week (it was so severe that she should have removed her colon). Please avoid all these doctors and hospital if you can.
nice rooms, good service, kindful trauma center, and some levels i can see far away from the windows.
I had a very pleasant stay. No complaints at all. Wonderful stall. Cafeteria great, facility spacious & clean.
