Lenox Hill Hospital of Northwell Health in Manhattan's Lenox Hill section of the Upper East Side on Lexington Avenue has gone down the drain since 2016. Rude, nasty emergency room staff ( tiniest ER in all of NYC) with only physican assistants seeing you, unless you have a life threatening acute illness like a heart attack. Sadly, prior to 2016 Lenox Hill Hospital used to be good.
I gladly switched all my medical needs, records, future ER visits all to New York Presbyterian WEILL CORNELL MEDICAL CENTER on East 68th Street and York Avenue, and am now very very happy.

The Doctors and THE Nurses are excellent! The Dietician and her staff are the best. I felt well taken care of here.

It is a good and immaculately clean hospital if you can afford it. Generally good doctors. However, none practice Functional Medicine.

The doctor does a round and mentions all things that need to happen, then nothing is done. I'mStill waiting for a bandage to be changed 13 hrs later and no sign of anything happening anytime soon.

Update: it's now been 25 hrs and still no clue as to when my dressing will be changed.

UPDATE: dressing eventually changed by very capable and friendly staff member.

Note: all staff were extremely friendly and courteous, it's a shame there was such a breakdown in communication somewhere which resulted In my predicament.

I am very grateful to staff, nurses and Dr. Weinberg. They demonstrated professionalism at all times and went out of their way to fit our needs. Thanks to them, our experience was a very good one. This is best hospital for any care. The ER is fast. They treat you like a celebrity. I would recommend this hospital. Ive never seen a more caring, personal, and friendly hospital. More persons should come here.

I had to wait 6 hours for an x-ray and the hospital that half empty. From 11pm-6am. DO NOT go here at all, ESPECIALLY for emergencies.

Hated it. God forbid one of your loved ones has a heart problem. Put a plan in place because they will shove you right out the door or threaten you with a hospital bill for cash as I was threatened yesterday by a RUDE uncaring social worker named JAMES. He just wanted to go home. He did not offer me many options for my father. I hope I sue the pants off this place. They kept calling me and calling me and I was traveling from out of state to get him. They also lied. They claimed to have told me the day before that he was going home. We can all take a lie detector test. I will be the one to pass. The only reason I gave 2 stars is he had 2 good 1 to 1 patient sitters. The rest of the heart staff I dealt with were BOGUS. The nurse Amelia was no help. Very short with us and seemed to be in another world. I almost popped a vein myself from the stress they were causing me acting like hellhounds pouncing on me when I was still discussing plans with my family.
He also was in because he had heart attacks and was given no after cardiac care and I was told he has no dietary restrictions which is bull!
*And I just took away another star because they called me to follow up and did NOTHING about my complaints. They are useless. Avoid this hospital like the plague!!!*
1/11/17- I also filed a complaint with someone named Joyce 2 days ago and she never followed up. I am getting the runaround now. She is dodging my calls and never called back.
* And OH PLEASE to the review that says the social workers are good. Some may be , but this one was HORRIBLE and he does NOT know how to treat or speak to people. The dirtbag just wanted to go home.*

Horrible
7 hrs of waste of time. First the nurse Kristina took my blood and then spill it on my gown and said she will be back to bring me a new one. Never happened. I had to asked someone else an hour later. Doctor don't come and see you till an hour and 1/2 after that. Don't know what's wrong with you so they send you to all this x-rays and ultrasound hopefully they find something to report so they be happy. Nothing , you lost day of work for what for sitting in the emergency room for nothing.
