(( December 10, 2017 - Sunday )) .. Low life devils. Why did that nurse/Heifer try to kick my mother out of the hospital after she told that low life Heifer that she was STILL SICK and needed treatment !!! How evil you be. She is a criminal and should be arrested and reported reported to United Nations on Human Rights abuses. If a person is legitmately claiming that they are still sick an EVIL staff member SHOULD NOT throw a person out of the hospital. My mother is old and sick and should be treated as such and as a HUMAN BEING !!!.Stop being Evil and CRIMMINAL AND RACIST !!!! I really want somebody to treat you the way you treated my mother a few times. I really want somebody to treat you dirty and nasty and EVIL you low life dirty crimminal.

This hospital needs to go to a compassion school, one particular nurse in the recovery ward, no heart at all, team player forget about it! Human beings should not be treated with no ccompassion especially when they just had surgical procedure, they're in alot of pain and they want to go home. The discharge should go smooth, a nurse should not let a patient wait for them on purpose because she had a beef with another nurse. Unacceptable!!!! By the way i took it to her supervisor.

SIUH is a good place for having the first baby. When you have a first child doing this for the first time you’re going to have some questions. At least that’s what I did is asking a lot of questions. You won’t believe this but so friendly and helpful staff they gave me a very good first impressions. You’re in good hands here they said and it true

I'm being there 2 times. And this last one was to have my son!! Everybody was great, the doctors, the nurses and even the lady that bring the food. My experience was beautiful, everybody extremely kind, they let me know about every procedure, I love even that there is a pastoral department and a religious leader came to made a lovely prayer for my baby!!! I never hear of other hospital with something like that. AMAZING!!!

Labor and delivery staff were extremely rude and nasty. The L&D room was not the cleanest considering a baby was going to be born in this room. There were gnats everywhere, in the waiting area and delivery room . Not clean at all. very bad security in the hospital. I walked around the entire hospital and not one person stopped me or even looked up to see who was walking by! 1 Nicu nurse was amazing and very helpful.

The care seems ok.doctors and staff seem thorough and knowledgeable, but this hospital is DIRTY!!!!!!!!! My family member was in 2 different units and in 3 different roomsevery one of those spaces were disgustingly dirty. The hallways were barely waxed, the rooms were horrid! With all of these federal regs in regards to hospital based infections, how do you justify a hospital being so dirty??

I work in a very large hospital system in New Jersey and if this was the case there, someone would immediately be fired.
(These images are just a representation of what was seen during my visits)

A stay in this Hospital is nothing but a nightmare. in the evening the nurses station was a hangout with loud laughter . medication requests arrived hours after wards. I was there 5 days without anyone coming to bathe and/or reposition me. they come only when the bell is rung and never in between to check the status of a patient,. God help the individual who arrives without family. Bed linen's aren't changed, my clothing wasn't changed. The one star is for the very few who did their job. My wife from the beginning wanted to go to Manhattan should have listened to her.

This HOSPITAL KILLED MY HUSBAND ON 3/4/16.
HE WENT IN FOR A STAB WOUND, WAS BLEEDING OUT THE MOUTH, THEY NEVER CHECKED HIS WOUND,NEVER CHECKED FOR INTERNAL BLEEDING, DID THE WRONG SURGERY AND LET HIM DIED.
    THE FALSIFIED HIS DEATH.

An immediate family member died here because they didn't know where his cancer came from. Aren't you a hospital? If you can't figure out where someone's illness originated from, at least care for them during their illness. Some staff are very rude and that is not acceptable especially in an environment like a hospital. STAY AWAY IF YOU WANT YOUR LOVED ONE TO STAY HEALTHY!

Dangerous place to find yourself in. Care is completely uncoordinated. Staff were obnoxious, crude, entitled, bullying and incompetent. No leadership whatsoever. Killed my friend's father with malevolent neglect and incompetent diagnosis. A man who was in no real health danger until he had the misfortune of entering that hospital. Go elsewhere!!!!!

My son had pains on the right side of his waist. I took him to the pediatrician and was sent to the ER. The staff and doctors at the hospital were knowledgeable, caring and attentive. It turns out, my son had appendicitis and had to have surgery. Dr. Price and his team were amazing. The nurses on the Pediatric Unit were absolutely dynamite. I cannot say enough kind words to express how grateful I am to the staff for helping and caring for my son during his stay at the hospital.

The nurses in the Emergency Room are extremely rude, inconsiderate and unprofessional. I will never take my loved ones here ever again. Nurses are supposed to hear the concerns of their patients and take care of them the way they are trained to. It's a people person type of job and if you're not a people person, you absolutely should not have this job. They are absolutely miserable and didn't even care about my family members' condition. They left him to suffer in discomfort and pain until I had to tell them TWICE to do something about it and they did it with a completely rude attitude. Can't expect much from Staten Island nurses who probably went to community college. Take your loved ones anywhere but here.
