Pleasant, professional, efficient. The environment was clean and quiet. The nurse that did intake introduced himself & explained procedures. He informed me what doctors/PA’s were working and who would likely be treating me. The doctor was personable and informative. He was efficient, yet took his time to ensure I understood diagnosis and discharge plans. I’ve gone into multiple healthcare facilities where the the physician appears rushed, is brief, and I have felt like it would be a burden to ask a question or request further clarification. I experienced the complete opposite here. The nurse that administed medication introduced herself, explained the purpose of the medication and any possible side effects, she confirmed if I had any allergies before administration. I visited this facility 20 minutes to closing which was probably irritating for the staff, assuming they’ve been there all day. Everyone was bright-eyed and bushy tailed. I’ve gone to other urgent care facilities where it appears the staff are more focused on tasks to close for the evening than the patient. If I ever need to visit an urgent care facility in the Albany area again this will be my first choice.
This place is completely unprofessional. They charge you one copay when you’re there and then send you a bill a month and a half later for $10 claiming that their dr is a “specialist” because urgent care is a specialty. I filed a complaint with my insurance company, who agreed that “urgent care” is NOT a specialist, and am still receiving notices about a $10 bill almost 6 months later. My one question that none of their staff can seem to answer is, if you’re so certain that I should have paid an additional $10 for a “specialist,” why didn’t you charge me the specialist copay up front? I would have paid $35 up front just as easily as I paid $25. My problem is not the $10, but the audacity to send me multiple bills for something that is so obviously an error on their end. I will absolutely never be back here.
Waited 2 hours walked up to the desk just to get an estimate on time and she casually says 2 to 3 hours more. My wait time was 4 to 5 hours and she didn’t bother to tell me that when I was signing in. This was my only chance to see a Dr for the next 3 days. What an absolute disgrace of a place. Absolutely ruined my day.
Yesterday I made an appointment on line, arrived 5 minutes early , was checked in by friendly and courteous associate, seen almost immediately by the nurse and PA, who were also friendly and courteous. The entire visit lasted 1/2 hour. Kudos!!!
I'd give this place zero stars if possible I arrived at 5:30 after work to find the door locked and the lights off everything online said until 6pm I called and a women answered the phone and said they closed early today and that she saw me try to get it just minutes earlier. Why she couldn't come to the door and tell me they closed early is beyond me also why a medical facility closes early without notifying patients is beyond me as well
Very nice peopke but soo SLOW!!!
We took our 15 month old for something we considered serious. We were there when they unlocked the doors to open, thus, were one of the very first people there.
We got a room recently fast, within 15 minutes.
Wbut in the room, we waited 30 minutes for a nurse, and then 45 minutes after she left until a doctor came.
The most aggravating part was then we waited an additional 45 minutes for the discharge nurse, who merely hamded.me two pieces of paper.
The said something about a new computer system
All in all 2 and half hours there for 5 minutes with a nurse, 10 minutes with a doctor. Very frustrated. I could have went to the ER and been out faster.
When you are ill that last thing you want to deal with is rude staff, however, that is exactly what you will get coming to St. Peter's urgent care. The front desk receptionist could not have been more unpleasant, she rolled her eyes and refused to be of assistance. I went to Albany Medical urgent care and the difference was night and day, the staff there are kind and helpful. Next time you need to go to urgent care, skip St. Peter's, you'll be better off.
I cannot say enough good things about my treatment at Saint Peter's Urgent Care. From reception through diagnosis and treatment everything was done in a professional and personal manner. Everyone I dealt with was very nice to me. I am only in the Capital District for an extended business stay. The staff went through the effort to link this treatment with my medical insurance back home. This is was a very nice surprise. I had gone there expecting to have to pay out of pocket and then resolve the bill with my insurance.
Everyone was very kind and efficient was able to get right in and an estimate wat time was quite accurate. I am very pleased by the care I received and the caring demeanor by the caregivers. Thank you so much for being here for me in the time of need!
Always receive prompt and attentive care here. My preferred place to go. Professional and caring staff
I have always had a good experience at this urgent care. The online appointment reservation option is very helpful!
Quick in, quick out. Doctor and nurse were extremely helpful. Nurse was amazing during blood draw especially for a guy who hates needles. Def will go again, hope I don't have to.
The staff was pleasant and courteous and my entire visit lasted less than an hour from walking in the door to leaving (I had not pre-scheduled an appointment.
I had barely finished the initial paperwork than I was taken to an examining room and within five minutes, the medical technician was there to take vitals and initial assessment. The doctor arrived a few minutes after she left and was also very gentle and efficient. I needed X-rays, where the technician was also very pleasant, gentle, and efficient.
Back in the examination room, the doctor returned to review the X-rays and then diagnose follow-up PT and medication.
Completely stress-free visit from start to finish.
