My mother in law who is a terminal cancer patient was admitted for transfusion and intractable pain last week. She could not stand or walk without assistance. Her care board stated clearly, FALL RISK. After 4 days, the hospital called her sons to pick her up. She was dressed and already discharged in a wheelchair with absolutely no family discussion or discharge planning AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!! She fell later in the day after being settled in at home and then spent hours in ER in agonizing grueling disorienting pain with no pain meds or even a sip of water. This is inexcusable and highly highly negligent practice. Beware!

Staff here are the most compassionate and caring you'll find anywhere, the hospital itself has it's shortcomings but that's everywhere not just here, overall this hospital is fantastic and a pillar in the Glens Falls community. Highly recommended.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars.. I have never had a good or even decent experience here last night I went in for serious head and neck pain.. waited for over 2 hours in the waiting room and still nothing . Then this stupid rent a cop wanted to give me lessons on how to be classy and told me to take my foot off my chair.. when I had been sitting the same way for 2 hours. I was in extreme pain and was using my knee to hold my head up.. and after 2 hours of sitting in a chair in pain and you want me to to keep both my feet on the floor at all times?!? I was so appalled and fed up i left! This is the 2nd time I have left while in waiting room for hours with no one to check on me or anything. Previously went in with my son wirh a very high fever and trouble breathing.. I waited in a room for 6 hours while I watched a doctor sit on a computer across from us the entire time.. I also had a terrible experience when I had my son there these are doctors we are supposed to trust and I don't trust any of them I would die driving myself to Saratoga hospital before choosing this place again I just canr believe this place is allowed to operate/run like this! It blows my mind!

It was horrific! Unorganized, very, very slow in the E.R., confusion, labs were lost. After six hrs in the hall, we finally got a room that was dirty!!! After 24 hrs & not even in a gown, mind you, we left & went to Saratoga hospital. Night & day between the two. Saratoga hospital is professional & has their stuff together. I wouldn't go to GF hospital for a couple stitches.

If you care about yourself or the person you are bringing here take the drive to a different hospital, it's worth it. The staff are incompetent and unsympathetic even towards children. Once in awhile you will get someone that is decent but seldomly. They don't keep the room clean. They don't make their rounds. They don't explain anything to you. They'll ask you how to do their job, very comforting when they're caring for your young child. My kids will never go here again.

Went to the ER around 3 in the morning to wait until 6 for them to give me extra strength Tylenol and not examine me what's so ever. They wanted me to longer, when I asked to leave I waited thirty minutes for them to bring in paper work so I could. Seemed like there was only one doctor on at the time and he didn't care very much. Go to urgent care, or a different hospital.

This place sucks. Sat for almost 2-3 hours with increasingly horrible pain near my spleen but 3 other people go in before me. Then when you say anything the lady at the desk is rude as hell and no one cares. All you get isnothing I can do. How about, I don't know LISTEN?! Kingston hospital is better than thisat least they listen..

I saw Terrence Fina PA in the Glens Falls ER. He seemed very pleasant and eager to help at first, but after these events I realize it was the act he puts on for his patients. He ordered a saline drip for me when it was unnecessary to do so, and had his student doctor practice on my veins! Now that I think about it, I truly believe he only ordered a saline drip so his student could use me as a pin bag to poke. The student hit a nerve in my arm, something that caused me pain for two months after this ER visit. I don't fault him for that, I think Terrence threw him into a situation he was too green to handle. However, one try wasn't enough apparently, and a nurse came in to instruct the student doctor. They said she was a head nurse, but I'm not too sure about that since SHE blew out my vein! I had a large bruise on my forearm for weeks.

After that ordeal, I was briefly examined by the student doctor (it seemed like Terrence wanted his student to do all his work for him!). I sat in my ER room waiting for the next step, when 45 minutes later the dynamic duo returns. Terrence did not give me a prescription or referral for my problem, instead he told me to use an OTC spray. He failed to mention you can only use it for 3 days. Now my sinuses are blocked and I need surgery! The ENT I am seeing now was appalled that he never warned me about the dangers of nasal spray.

Oh, I forgot to mention - because Terrence Fina did absolutely nothing to help my problems (besides giving me a drug store shopping list) I had to return to the ER that same night, several hours later.

So, if you're ever in the ER at Glens Falls, make sure you do not get assigned Terrence Fina. Terrence - if you are reading this, you should be ashamed of yourself and the way you treat your patients! (P.S. Student doctor: You were nice and did nothing wrong. Don't grow up to be a bad PA like your mentor.)

I want to thank the great staff of 4West and the ED for making a difficult experience bearable. Your friendly, attention and compassionate care were very much appreciated. Great job!

I had surgery on November 18, 2016. The nurse that prepared me for surgery was very pleasant. I didn't appreciate one of the staff members that was in the OR. I was coming out from anesthesia, which I couldn't speak just yet but I could hear their conversation. The conversation was about my weight and one of the male staff said "there's no way I am moving that big lady to the next stretcher I am not going to hurt my back for nobody". The nurse in the room said "let me try talking to her to see if she could move herself" and the man in the room said "oh I got to see this". Well I moved myself to the next stretcher and that man said "holy shit I can't believe it."
I was very disappointed with the health care professionals in the OR that day. I just want people to know that you should be very careful what is said while a patient is coming out of anesthesia.

You wait forever in the ER. They don't have it together here. Better off going to Saratoga hospital.

Terrible services and no compassion. Didn't get to complete my visit or even be seen. Highly disappointed with my visit. Could've been 10x better and faster
