I was taken to the ER on 7/26 by the paramedics and I could not be happier with the decision made by them to take me to St. Peter's in Albany. The ER personnel was fantastic, Kathie was my nurse and Dr. Bob was the physician that admitted me. The service got even better, my first nurse was Mrs. Pfeng (I hope am spelling her last name correctly), she was adorable, then came Loretta another formidable professional nurse that made me feel at homeIf you happen to be visiting Albany, as I was, and by fate of destiny you need to be taken to a hospital, ask them to take you to St. Peter's you will be delightedThey are the best!

The medical care we received here was PHENOMENAL and literally life-saving on multiple occasions. The medical staff --across the board-- was truly great, caring, and attentive. And the nurses providing front-line care (especially those on the ICU) were exceptional. I particularly appreciated that the staff was both tolerant and supportive of my many questions--I'm a researcher in another field, and always read up on the different issues and had many questions. I was impressed on more than one occasion to find that St. Peter's has protocols in place that are described as "best practices" in care and are definitely not universally in place across the country. I can't imagine going to another hospital in the area. The one draw back: a few of the social workers we encountered were surprisingly unprofessional (though polite) and lacked basic communication skills and principles. This complicated the family interactions horrifically, but thankfully did not too greatly compromise his care.

I was a patient recently in St. Peters hospitalOn June 16th for surgery on my aorta. I was suppose to have the surgery a month ago at Albany Medical Center but, I'm not from the area and after speaking to people where I live I was informed by many not to have surgery in that hospital due to the nursing care is a nightmare I asked the doctor's office to admit me to St. Peter's instead.I'm so happy I listened.

From pre-op testing to the day of surgery with pre-op, ICU and my room 2226 I couldn't ask for better care From clerks, techs and nurses you are treated with caring people that will help in any way they can with great enthusiasm.. It isn't just a job to them they are there to make sure you are receiving their full attention. The patient comes first not to mention how wonderful they are with family My husband stayed in the room with me for the week and the staff were also concerned about his comfort bringing him blanket and pillows. I want to thank each and everyone of the staff members there.. Even the ones that were working with my roommate instead of me were delightful. Thank you St. Peters Dinah Wells

they allso run a place called the eddy a person named joan carr works there i understand why they let a man hateing dyke like that work there but then agan this is the dumbest country in the world im shure that there are more of them there by the way the place is run they get bad revews all the time wonder why ?

Your facility was not helpful at all. My son presented himself to you facility today, was there for 6 hours being asked questions, getting tests done, spoke to nurses, doctors and loudly expressing to all of them that "I need help, I am an addict, and I just need someone to hear me, I NEED HELP!" One nurse looked at him and stated, "your not the only one". I have been in the medical industry for over 25 years, and have never heard anyone speak to a patient that way. After she was done with him, she said, I have an appointment with SPARC in Rotterdam, he clearly stated I don't need outpatient, I NEED INPATIENT HELP. And apparently due to his two test scores, he was not in withdrawal enough. What does it take for a facility, doctor, nurse, any medical professional to see this child was begging for help, and you turn people away? What kind of facility are you? You can't discriminate against those that have an addiction, there are times when you need to listen to your patients not just hear them. The nurse that told my son to get in line with all the rest does not deserve to be a nurse, how does she treat other patients? I will NEVER NEVER send any of my family to your facility ever again.
