The place was really cool! Not somewhere I had heard of until my girlfriend had mentioned something about how cool this hotel was. I’ve done a lot of traveling growing up and so I thought I would surprise her! The hotel was cool. The front desk staff was nice. The room was very cool and the bed was comfortable however the next door neighbors were not very considerate! All night long we heard lots of very interesting noises which made it very, VERY hard to fall asleep to. Needless to say we didn’t get much sleep at least lying awake
In a comfortable bed had it’s perks!
Oh and getting off at the right exit is very important or else you end up in a very rough part of town/neighborhood!!
The front desk staff and valet staff were great! They shuttled us to the American Airlines center for a hockey game and picked us back up quickly after the game only calling them just a couple minutes before. It was nice not having to wait very long in the cold and we were able to get out quickly not having to wait in a ton of traffic!
If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around
Had a great stay here! Amazing rooftop view. Friendly staff. Comfy bed. Other reviews pointed out that it's not very sound proof and that's true. I could hear vacuuming from the room above me. I'd say you're safe sound wise to sleep until 8 am, or if you're a heavy sleeper you'll be fine. Really nicely decorated. It's fun and impressive for the price. Would stay again.
I booked this hotel in advance because I was visiting with two teenage girls whom I was taking to a concert. I wish I had not reserved as pre-paid because the price came down significantly.
That said, the girls and I really enjoyed the room and wish we had time to spend on the rooftop.
My sister stayed with us and she had dinner in the restaurant. She said the food was good but not stellar.
We ordered one drink after the concert. The bartender was friendly and accommodating.
If I could get the hotel at a lower cost, I would consider coming back for future visits to Dallas.
Nicely decorated! Spacious rooms! The rooftop bar and small pool have awesome views of the city! We only ate breakfast the morning we were living and was good, don’t know of other food! Downside, neighborhood not very appealing. pool closes at sundown, first in the reception at check inn they told us it closes at 8 but at 7 sharp a very rude guy came to say we need to get out, we were just 2 couples enjoying the evening and the view, very quiet but still I told him 10 more min and he didn’t care, he said no, even though the bar and the area were still open!
CHECK OUT WAS A NIGHTMARE!!!! They charged double to our credit cards, and didn’t even know why the sistem did it, we lost at least 1 hour trying to figure out why when you check inn they told you it’s just a hold on your card and you can change cards at the end and they ended up charging all and more.. Never expected from a hotel like this.
Don’t think I will stay here again!

The ambiance, staff and aesthetics of the hotel were great. Loved the rooftop bar and total vibe. My only complaint, which really sucked, were the rooms were very loud inside and ALL night. Noises from people in the next room, the hallway, noise from the water pipes, the air ventsand also just random sudden loud noises from the building itself. I understand it's old, just a real bummer for someone who isn't a heavy sleeper. Barely was able to sleep at all through the night. Aside from that though
Thin walls and lots of party goers. Decor was nice and modern, rooms were a bit dusty and hair in the bathroom shower and sink, but the noise disturbances was the highlight of my stay.
Beautiful view of Dallas and perfect accessible location.
Customer service was great, no room service but the staff was super nice and helpful. Pets are allowed for a fee so that was convenient too.
Just want to say that The NYLO Hotel is not your typical Hotel. We stayed overnight and it was wonderful. The entire room from the moment we walked in was Great!! Went up to the rooftop at night and it was a beautiful view as well as the pool. Had breakfast in the morning and my omelette was delicious!! I would definitely recommend this Hotel.
We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and the concept is cool. The staff was very nice. For the price, we expected a nicer place. Any hotel room that exceeds $200/night should have robes. The bathroom seemed cheap. The shower (a flimsy shower curtain, really?) was disappointing. The furniture was cheap. The artwork wasn't anything special. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were too puffy. We are fine with stark and industrial, but not cheap. So, while we were comfortable, we were disappointed in the overall "feel" of the place.
My family enjoyed our stay very much. This neighborhood is very much up-and-coming, in my opinion. I bet this area was not gentrified to this fresh level 5 years ago. The hotel was very nice. Very chic lobby. Very chic pool. The pool was warm, which I like. We brought our 3 year old son and he enjoyed himself immensely. The pool was very warm and the view was fantastic. Our room was very nice but strangely some rough/yucky edges in the bathroom for such a new hotel. We were able to walk to the Tavern next door for dinner and walked across the street for coffee in the morning. Parking lot was straight-forward and convenient. Can't think of much else except few kids channels such as Nick Jr. or Disney Jr. Otherwise, it was fabulous and we will probably use this hotel again .
Such a cool hotel. Artistic and unique vibe inside. We came for dinner and the food was very good. Not many people eating even though the hotel and bar upstairs were quite busy. We had fried pickles and Asian BBQ wings to start and they were very good, and the bartender "D" was really good. My wife and I both ordered burgers and they were excellent. Our friends got the tacos and said the shrimp tacos were the best. Soda bar upstairs was really cool - I did a separate review there
The hotel has a very unique ambiance that makes it different than most major hotel chains.
That alone makes it a cool experience.
Staff was very attentive, the room was comfortable, shower was huge and had very interesting decor.
Rooftop pool and bar is one of the biggest selling points about the hotel and is a must do.
On the downside, I would've liked to have a mini fridge in the room and a microwave.
The channel selection was very limited, which should be fixed because the room is comfortable enough that I enjoyed being there unlike most hotels.
Also, a hotel this nice should have a no pets policy. I don't dislike animals but the room next to me had a dog in it that barked all night. For a hotel of this quality, that was unacceptable.
All told, I will stay again and was happy with their product.
Went on a Thursday night to the rooftop bar and it wasn't very busy. Service was friendly and the ambiance was very relaxed. It is beautifully decorated and the lighting in the pool changing colors added a magnificent touch. Good amount of seating available but not for the weekend since I imagine it will be busy and the pool along with the poolside chairs, take up so much room. Great for a date night or night out with friends.
