This place, for the price, is outstanding when doing a Florida vacation. A ~6 minute drive to every Disney park and almost straight shot to Universal.
Staff was great. Understanding and patient. Great customer service.
The room we stayed in had a kitchen, washing machine, dish washer, and two rooms with 3 beds total.
I had a horrible experience here! The first 2 bedroom they put me in had a couch that most of the arm was ripped off, patches of the leather were peeled away, and it had paint on it. The room was also musty and smelled like mildew. When I called the front desk they asked if I'd just like to note it so I wasn't charged for anything. No I wanted a new room. They told me to wait in that room and someone would bring me new keys for the new room. We waited 30 min before i called back and the woman apologized and had a runner here in 5 min. The new one wasn't much better. The couch was worn but not torn and rooms had a musty smell to them that went away once the air was on for a while. I wanted to switch rooms again but my husband had just driven 15 hours and didn't want to move again. Our last night there I went to take garbage out and there were roaches under the sink. When I called the desk they said someone would be there within 30 minutes, I told them someone had better be here in 5. I don't do Bugs! The man did show up quickly and sprayed the kitchen and killed the bugs he saw under the sink. Unfortunately that just made the ones he missed spread into other rooms. We were leaving early the next morning so i was up packing and had a roach try to climb into my suitcase. I was not happy. I had to unpack, repack, and take out to our vehicle to make sure no critters came home with me. If I end up with roaches at home after this they will be paying for my exterminator! I have been using timeshare for almost 20 years and never have I had problems like this.
The hotel is nice but all rooms have not been renovated. Our original room was an older one and after calling the front desk, we were moved to a renovated room which is significantly nicer. The 2 bedroom villa is huge! Service is friendly. Grounds are well kept. Speed bumps throughout the roadways could be better marked. Plenty of dining and cooking wares are provided. The pots and pans are nice. It's a home away from home.
Great place! Quiet, relaxed and very good customer service.
The complex is big and have several pools, a bar/restaurant a common playing room and a golf field. There are enough open space to take walks or bike. Each building has its own parking lot on the outside but sometimes it is too crowded and if you return late you can end with no parking left.
Very good assistants in the customer service office and by phone.
We love this location. Close to Disney Parks, restaurants, and gift shops. The property is well kept, and have lots to offer for the entire family. All the rooms are being updated and are completely gorgeous. There is putt-putt, a Golf Course, splash pads, and three swimming pools, and a restaurant on site. We really enjoyed our stay there.
Some furniture seemed dates, the flow of the suites seemed odd. Would of been nice to have the secondary room away from the elevator section since it caused a lot of noise during the early mornings. Light switches were in odd places. Had to walk across the hotel suite to turn off lights in the living space. Would of been nice to have a secondary switch near the master bedroom. The lights for the porch were in the master bedroom. So if someone was sleeping with the door lock you could not turn off or on the light. The room was very spacious and the hotel offered a lot. The room service menu was a bit limited and pricey with gratuity included but tasted good. Overall my stay was good.
We enjoy ourselves every time we stay at Mystic Dunes. The condo has a nice kitchen and dining room, the living room is very large with a comfortable sectional couch, the master bedroom is very large with a king size bed, jacuzzi tub, separate shower and double vanity, the send bedroom has 2 queen beds, there is a 2nd bathroom as well. The condos, pool areas and common grounds are very well kept. The staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant on site has good food, dine in or delivery. There is bar type food at the main pool as well. I highly recommend Mystic Dunes Resort.
Very nice rooms! great location next to Disney World Resorts only half hour from Universal Studios. But they don't do room service while you're there. And try to talk you into getting a timeshare with them even before you see your room or spend any time at their Resort. They Advertised whirlpool tubs and did not have them. They advertised jetted tubs and did not have them. As well as advertised hot tubs did not have them. The swimming pools were large in length but only went to three and a half feet deep so with wanting to go swimming and not being able to go down more than that was not a good pool to do so. wish that it would have been a deeper pool or at least have one of the pools be deep enough to dive and swim in. The waterslide was fun but cause big red marks on your back and ended up being quite painful the next day. Schools are not heated.
Very nice location. The rooms have all the comforts of home! Only 12 minutes to Magic Kingdom, so location is great. The resort is spread out quite a bit which I wasn't aware of so you have to drive or call for a golf cart to get from one pool to another. The guy that checked us in at the front desk was rude, and they do try to get you to do a time-share sales pitch, but they back down pretty quickly if you firmly state you're not interested. We'd stay here again.
Just checked into a two room suite on 6/8/17. The place is extremely clean, had a great experience at check-in. Staff is friendly the grounds are well maintained. Oversized rooms and bathrooms are amazing. Would definitely stay here again! Beautiful! Check-in took about 15 minutes, no issues. Parking right in front of our building allowed for easy access, which is perfect, especially traveling with two kids! The suite is completely stocked with everything you need. It looks recently renovated or updated. When I walked in it smelled very fresh and clean. The bedding looks brand new, the furniture is in great condition. No problems with any lights air conditioning appliances or TVs. Everything is in great working order. I'm typically very picky and can find something wrong with almost anything, until now. Definitely would highly recommend especially if you're traveling with a family and looking for extreme comfort.
Mixed bag. Positives - The staff was very friendly from check in until check out. They constantly asked if there was anything else they could do and were very polite. The 2 room suite was big which was perfect for my group of 7. Negatives - the air conditioning went out because there was something wrong with the unit that caused it to leak water and soaked the carpet at the front of the master bedroom. It got too warm so we called to have someone come out. The were out quickly and used a wet vac to remove the water and a/c was working again. Three hours later the carpet was soaked and the a/c shut off again. The temperature was fine so I didn't bother calling to have them come back out at midnight. Amusingly, we caught a baby snake in the room the following morning because it slithered through some tape we used to put up birthday decorations. It was no big deal and more funny than anything else in that it thoroughly frightened my wife and sister. In the end, no compensation was made by Mystic Dunes for the a/c issues and the soaked carpet but the stay was fine. 50/50 chance I would stay again.
No one should be subjected to waiting on line for an hour to check in to a hotel. I am not exaggerating when I say that we waited twice as long here as we did at Disney! Laughing staff stated that its like that every weekend. Knowing you are expecting many guests, a quality resort would have more staff helping with check in. We had paid, non-refundable reservations for 2 nights or I would have cancelled immediately. Although rooms and grounds are nice, this hour long wait to check in is a deal breaker. There are other resorts that do not treat guests this way.
For staters, the resort is absolutely breathtaking. Very luxurious. Feels like it's own sacred hidden gem. The name Mystic is very fitting. My room was the best hotel room I've ever stayed in. It was a mini apartment basically. Full living room with a kitchen that came stocked with a blender, stove, cookware, and other accessories. The room even had a washer and dryer!! I paid 75 for one night's stay which is truly a steal. The staff is very friendly as well. They also have various events on the resort taking place daily like concerts and such. Highly recommended. I'll be returning again!
Check in took over an hour at 10pm. The lobby is entirely way too small and outdated. The were only 3 staff members to check in guest and over 30 people in line to check in. After check in, they have you visit the concierge desk where they try to invite you to listen to a sales presentation to purchase a timeshare. I already had a horrible first impression so I was definitely not interested in what they were selling. The unit we had didn't feel clean and I noticed stained towels, wash clothes, bedding etc. I didn't sleep well the first night because of how unclean it felt. The water pressure was extremely low in the shower. Things I liked were the bed and pillows and that there was a full size kitchen. The bathroom vanity was also a nice size. The unit was spacious enough for my family of three and my daughter really enjoyed the garden run. I also appreciated the pool towels.
