well, I wasn't impressed at all..but the hotel just switched ownership .. it is now called welcome inn.. they were in the middle of remodeleing i guess i wish them luck..no bathtub in my room..people were very nice and sent someone very quickly when my toilet wouldn't flush hopefully the renovations will help the place. prices were reasonable.. not a lot of amenities as of yet
! Drug dealers love to live here. Ya they got cameras and a guard but it doesn't do much. In the 2 weeks one as there I saw at least 1 room party a night. and they put us out at 11pm bc a guy i work with had his wife come down after work and she wasn't on the list for the room. B.S! So they had 3 cops show up and kick out! While 5 rooms down had at least 10 people in the room partying. So I would have to recommend not staying here!
Requested non-smoking, got smoking. The bed clothes were awful, wouldn't stay tucked in, under me. Cigarette burns in coverlet and blanket. The floor was grimy. No Coffee?? The shower head was junk, couldn't be raised to point at me.
That said, I did appreciate the lack of carpeting, and generally things were in good repair.
This was my first and last stay in a Motel 6. Learned from my mistake. I felt anxious the entire stay.
We expected a queen sized bed but instead were told that there were none at the motel. Instead we got a double bed for two! It was very difficult for us to get a good night's sleep given thisvery uncomfortable! It surprises us that a motel would not have queen sized beds!!
I travel a lot and for $60, I have had way better rooms then this. Awful. Dirty and burns every where from smokers. My hot water lasted 5 mins. I booked for 4 and only got 1 towel. Lol
I chose this place because Motel 6 usually has nice places for the price they charge. Struck out on this place.
They charged extra for wifi, which didn't always work and only supported one device at a time. The room I was in reeked of smoke. The housekeeper came the first and second day, but not after, which was simply weird.
I'm pretty sure some of the guests live here full time, which is against policy; I watched two families bring all of their stuff out of their rooms and move it another hall down. Most of the residents seemed nice, but listening to one fighting match was more than enough.
The night staff hate their jobs. Every time I've gone in, they've been rude and distracted. One was even on their cell phone while I was trying to get help!
For the money I spent on this place, I'd rather spend an extra $10 a night and go someplace nice.
Every time I decide to grab a room to get away from it all, I come here and never have any issues. I even made a new friend in Ms.Tasha. She is always nice, respectable, friendly, and helpful when I come. Thanks Ms. Tasha!!
Woman at front desk gave me no details about reservations, I showed up to motel with reservation and was told I needed physical card to get room (which I did not have on me at the time and was denied the room) and my account would not be charged because the physical card was not swiped at motel desk. Days later I notice there was an amount taken out of my account for the motel room I did not stay in that I was denied because I did not have my bank card on me, when I was denied room front desk attendant told me nothing about having to cancel my reservation before a certain time and I clearly told her I will not be getting the room because I did not have my card on me, she failed to tell me i needed to cancel reservation and did not cancel the reservation herself when I told her i will no longer be needing the room. Second off I was never told I would need my bank card on my person or I would have brought it with me. When I called about this issue management was EXTREMELY rude, argued with me raised their voice and would not refund my money. I felt I deserved a refund because the employee did not do her job of explaining anything to me and let me leave knowing I have to cancel reservation or would still be charged when I told her I will no longer be needing the room (she also told me I would not be charged because there was no card physically swiped). Before this I had stayed at this motel for 3 days in a row and still management would not cooperate with me after I've given this company plenty of money.
Nothing about this hotel was satisfactory. First, I requested conjoining rooms. We were on completely different floors. Secondly, I requested non-smoking rooms. Although, both rooms had the non- smoking symbol on the door, both smelled strongly of, not only cigarette smoke, but also weed. I stayed there about 10 hours and everything I had with me smelled like weed when I left. Also, the staff was not friendly or helpful at all. The rooms looked like a teenager had cleaned them. They looked like someone had kind of attempted to clean it but really didn't care. When I checked in, and when I checked out, the person at the desk was talking on her cellphone and acted like I was a bother/ annoyance to her. I will never stay at a Motel 6 again.
Jim, I would like to interview for a job examining your facilities before they are recommended to the public. Our room was dirty. We washed the bathroom floor even with flip flops it was BAD. Desk would call each morning to question if we needed anything. I assumed when we asked for towels that they would take the trash without being asked. The carpet was shredded between bath and bedroom. Neighbor screamed all night. I was concerned about safety and called the desk. We were in room 112 for three nights. My wife brought traveling blankets but slept with her cloths on. We were stranded unable to find another facility.
This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Rooms were nasty! The floors have not been clean ever it appeared. The beds did not have mattress pads on them, and the comforters were soiled. It seemed as if it was the main attraction for drugs and prostitution. One of the walkways upstairs was about to fall in. This is a very serious safety hazard. We had a group of kids with us and anything could have happened. The police was there constantly. People were fighting and arguing in the room near me. PLEASE do not stay here! The only positive thing about this place was the guy checking us all in Bronson. He was great.
I have been staying with you approximately overall for the course of three months and every time I returned your staff is more than accommodating I love the ladies at the front desk they are very welcoming and always there to serve me with the best care your house keepers are very considerate two people's work schedule and do not knock on the door so hard that it makes you startle which often other hotels do the rooms are always impeccably clean and I refuse to stay anywhere else on this side of town or anywhere else for that matter it's worth the drive I am grateful there is a hotel like this that exist as I am a single woman and even though I'm on the east side as we all know is not the safest area of Indianapolis I feel safe coming to this property and will continue to do so until I'm settled into my place thank you so much for Staffing this hotel with kind-hearted wonderful people that truly care about the guest experience and whenever there is a problem which is rare they handle it promptly and efficiently and I am grateful as I have spent a large amount of money with your hotel it's a nice to know that we are treated as people for once and not just a dollar sign thank you Motel 6 on Shadeland Avenue for making my hardships easier to deal with by having a hotel that I can call home when I currently do not have one
