The battery on my door lock died while i was out of the room, so all of my things were locked in 1 room while i was placed in another. (I thought the staff was trying to rob me on the cool.) Entirely inconveniencing. Although the staff was kind and helpful im not at all satisfied with my stay.
Would not recommend - smelled like mildew (especially in the bathroom where the shower curtain was disintegrating into pieces in the tub). Super loud being so close the highway, barely any water pressure, and on our last night they had taken away all of our towels but had not cleaned anything or made the beds. Also not in the best part of town. The upside: it’s cheap and there are some good restaurants nearby. That said you could probably do better somewhere else.
The room was clean, and roomy. However, the highway noise and light streaming into the room made it impossible to get a good night's sleep. Also, for the class of room, I felt the price was high.
I thought rooms were clean. Soap is a little small for bathroom and showers but management.
I brought some kids down from a school to compete at the Texas Relays and spoke with a representative on the phone-I was never informed that Motel 6 did not take a check. I had to pay for the rooms on my own credit card. I was very disappointed from that aspect of things. Other than that-things were good.
Absolutely horrible. My husband and I stayed for 2 nights. We came back to our hotel room at the end of our day 1 stay to find out our key was not working to get into the room. My husband thought that the key was broken so he went to the front office to get another key. Only to find out that the hotel employees had given our room to someone else, which means they took all of our belongings out of the room and put them in a closet in the front office. They said they made a mistake by double booking but why didn’t they just give those people another room?! Why would they take our belongings out of our room and say nothing to us. THEY DIDNT EVEN NOTIFY US that they were doing it. Super unprofessional and unorganized. DO NOT STAY HERE. Honestly it’s worth the extra money to stay somewhere nice and clean in Austin. This place is ridiculous
The location was a bit hectic due to roadwork being done, but the area was nicer compared to other motels down the road. Check in was simple, and the room was clean and organized.
You get what you pay for The rooms are not dirty and appeared recently remodeled but the quality of the remodel was subpar. Worst experience was showing up at 4:30 p m. And room wasn't ready yet. Were told it would be thirty minutes so we went to the store to get some food and drinks. Came back, still wasn't ready. We had an appointment at 5:30 so we left just as the cleaning crew showed up. We had two rooms, same issue with second room. The couple in the second room left their luggage when we all left and the cleaning ladies mistook it for the previous guests Our friends ended up losing some of their luggage.
All in all the staff was nice and i wouldn't be opposed to returning; you really can't argue the price. But I will be ready for issues like this again in the future.
Location is great! Our room had the absolute minimum in decor and amenities. The door to the bathroom had a broken hinge so it would not close completely. Noise from other guests was a huge problem. We could hear other conversations/arguments way too easily. On Sunday evening, actually Monday morning 3:26am someone was banging and yelling for the neighboring room guest to open the door, that went on for a few minutes. I will willingly pay more next time in Austin for more comfort and quiet. One other comment, we paid for high speed internet access October 22 around 7-8 pm. Was supposed to be good for one day. Next morning, before we left at 8:30am we no longer had access to what we paid for.
Stayed two nights to escape Hurricane Harvey. The first thing we noticed as we walked in was that the room smelled of cigarettes. This should not have been the case in a non-smoking room, but there were cigarette burns in the bedspread and blanket. The room was bare-no artwork on the walls, no alarm clock, exactly two towels, and not even an extra roll of toilet paper. Theft must be an issue. I've never stayed someplace that didn't at least provide a sample size bottle of shampoo. At least there was a small bar of soap for the sink and one for the shower. Speaking of the shower, the water pressure was so low I had difficulty rinsing my short hair. There was no hot water and the tub was dirty and s drained extremely slow. The first night, we had uninterrupted power, but the lights flickered in the front half of the room on the second day and the AC went out. The lights continued to flicker until they wouldn't come on at all. The only lights that worked were over the sink and above the shower. When we tried speaking to the front desk about the air, we were asked to be patient but never given any solution. We slept in the damp heat and packed up the second morning to come back to our home even though we knew the power was still out. If you read this and still decide to stay, good luck to you. If you have children, do not let them roam unattended. There were some sketchy characters doing business in the parking lots.
This is a great place to stay in Austin, especially for the price. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, the shower was nice and hot. It's right off the frontage road to the highway and easy to find and get to. Close enough to UT Campus. They were out of sodas and ice when I was there, but that was hopefully a one-time situation. The staff was gracious with the extra towels when I had to extend my stay. Safe and quiet (for being beside the highway) location. Quality stay.
I appreciated the adequate grassy areas, and nearby residential area to walk my dogs. It was very hot when I stayed, and the room was cool and clean with a decent bathroom. The garbage cans were overflowing and smelled badly, which detracted. This property was a bit tucked away, but easy to access.
We were there from July 4 to July 7 2017 our stay there was comfortable I enjoyed the stay the room was in process of cleaning when we got there about 4.30 pm so we had about an hour and a half wait so that was tiring after a 6 .5 hr. drive and becuz I had made reservations a week before..but besides that the worker in front desk was super nice and helpfulThank u for a comfortable stay..
Checking in was really easy. There was plenty of space in the room. Really enjoyed our stay with you guys, everyone was very friendly. Will definitely keep motel 6 on my list whenever I travel

The beds were comfortable. Room was acceptable.
Thank you for a room in the back on the first floor as requested. The room was held after 6:00 PM because we called.
Friday night stay cost a whopping 60% more than Thursday night.
Value was good for Thursday night, overpriced for Friday.
Staff was polite. One staff person said we were fortunate that they kept the room for the second night since they had not charged us to hold it for our return long after 6:00 PM. This comment was unexpected because we had a reservation for 2 nights and had left all our belongings in the room. This is the first motel / hotel that asked us to pay day-by-day instead of at the end of our stay.
Sink drained slowly.
Table was so wobbly it could not be used for computer work or to eat at.
It would be good to have 2 chairs rather than 1 in a room with 2 beds.
Key cards worked Thursday. We returned to the office Friday evening because they did not work.
The location of the motel was perfect, right next to a Denny's and two miles away from UT. The rooms were as expected for the price, it's a shower and a clean place to sleep. The service was fantastic, we asked to be woken up at 8 and they did, right on time. They brought us clean towels and more pillows when requested and it was a pleasant experience. The only reason I don't give it five stars is because there was a stain in my sheets and I killed a roach on the floor.
