This is a run down hotel, not worth $126.00a night.
It is in serious need of upgrades in bathrooms, also and most importantly the elevators need to be inspected by the state, one elevator wasn't working and the other seems like its about to break down and it doesn't seem safe besides the aesthetics.
The hotel needs to provide standard size pillows, I got the room with the king size bed and it only had 4 ridiculously tiny pillows , about 12 by 12 inches, it was so hard for me and my husband to sleep using those tiny pillows.
Also, there are some rooms that the hotel use for spare things but they are not locked, someone can easily hide there, so that's a big safety concern.
When I first walked into the Quality Inn, it was quiet and felt a bit eerie. The room was old and outdated and smelled like smoke even though we requested a non smoking room. Our window did not have a screen on it and you could technically climb in or out which was not safe. I wouldn't recommend this hotel unless it's a last minute resort
Hotel is older and is in need of updating. The hotel has a musty smell. Our first room was missing blow dryer and bathroom fan, evidently they had quit working and been removed but not replaced. We requested a new room and was given an upstairs room. Elevators and hallways have a very musty smell. Our room did have everything working, that's an improvement. When I called down to front desk to get extra pillows, the front desk employee closed the conversation by saying "Cool Beans", not exactly what I expected.
Out of all the choice hotels I've had the pleasure of staying at this one has to be my least favorite. The room had a clean appearance but not after the duvet was pulled back. The room definitely had not seen a vacuum and if it did, it wasn't a working vacuum. Our coffee machine had a used dried coffee filter in it from the previous guest. We had two packs of decaf, no regular coffee and no cups or lids. The rest of the restroom was stocked accordingly. Every place in this hotel is extremely warm!! Including the dining area. The continental breakfast is your basic continental breakfast scrambled, eggs, sausage, waffle, toast, bagel, cereal, juices, milk and coffee. No yogurt.
The staff during breakfast where more than accommodating and we appreciate them giving us the duvet to replace the one that had blood spots on it. I stopped to make the front desk aware of these notes above but the demeanor was very nonchalant didn't seem to care too much so I ended the discussion there
Great c lean hotel. Perfect proximity to the airport. Shuttle available as well as a grab and go breakfast in case your flight leaves before the nice, hot, breakfast options. Was under a remodel when I visited but they don't actually start working on it till 11 giving guests more than enough time to sleep in and then get ready! Look forward to revisiting and seeing new additions.
The room are comfortable. The shuttle driver is a very dangerous and unsafe driver and work on her own time. She got to work last which meant the shuttle left late (5:15am). Didn't stop at any stop sign drove on the wrong side of the street most of the short trip. Cut out cars and tailgate the car in front of her. Very Rude!!!
Location was very easy to find. Right off the freeway. Had a very nice swimming area and breakfast area. The meeting room my husband and I were in was appropriate for the amount of people that attended. Great place for small meetings.
Close to airport. However, the airport hotel shuttle took close to an hour to arrive.
First impressions: The decor is really dated particularly the hallway walls; the elevator interior really needs to be refurbished. The room felt clean, but the a/c was set to 65 degrees; the bottom sheet had been patched.
Fire inspectors would have a hey day with our ill-fitting room door.
Otherwise, nice staff, quiet.
We were evacuees from one of the counties the governor listed, that didn't have to pay taxes for the rooms, but they refused to remove the taxes. Said they couldn't find my county. Then we checked out earlier due to flooding in Austin and didn't want to be trapped away from home. They charged me for the extra night and additional 110 bucks. I've been calling trying to get my money back. Also if you stay there, there's only 2 places that deliver there and if you're not familiar with the area. You might not want to drive. A lot of the hotel staff doesn't speak English. But the hotel is pet friendly. I wouldn't stay here again.
Great staff. Free airport shuttle was nice. Used the public transportation system to get around Austin. Wasn't bad since it was only $2.50 a day per person. The breakfast buffet was slightly different each day, which was nice. Pool didn't have towels for two of the three days we were there.
This is a very clean, cozy hotel. Michael, who works the front desk over night here, is an outstanding worker and even came to pick me up at the airport after the standard shuttle service ended. This is a great hotel, conveniently close to the airport. I would definitely stay here again if I find myself back in Austin.
Clean, Smoke-free, beds are comfortable, water was warm, TV worked it did it's job! WiFi needs updated so that Iphones can connect otherwise no complaints.
Bedbugs. Weird thing is that the molts were between the fitted sheet and the mattress topper, indicating that they don't actually change the mattress topper. Went to the front desk and asked for a different room, hoping for one that may end didn't have any unwanted guests. They did put us in a suite, which appeared to have been not used for a while, as the microwave clock was still unset from the last power outage. We found no evidence of bedbugs in the suite. When checking out in the morning and explaining why we had two sets of keys for different rooms, the person at the desk was surprised and said there had been no notes made about my stay or bedbugs. Also the server room door was pro
led open and being cooled by a box fan. Google kept telling me it couldn't get a security certificate or something when attempting to connect to the wifi and do the obligatory user agreement page thing.
This is an older hotel, that is a great value. The rooms are average size, clean and everything worked great. The pool is clean and good size. The breakfast is average, and was well stocked. The employees were all nice. For half price of what a hampton room nearby would go for, makes this a family value.
Run down, quite dirty hotel on the side of a highway with no bar or restaurant facilities. Breakfast was terrible. Reception staff recommended a very dodgy sounding taxi company who they can provide a $2 discount for Austin is about $26 away in an Austin Yellow Cab. Got stuck in this hotel because of a cancelled flight and hope to never see it again.
