Recently renovated so almost everything is new which was nice. Really friendly staff. Unfortunately I was given a room with a queen bed instead of the king I reserved. Also, the bathroom design is almost too modernthere's no shower lip, so the water goes everywhere, and there's hardly any useful shelves to place things like soap.

It's not the Ramada anymore. It's now a Best Western. They haven't even had the Grand Opening Yet (as of 02/09/17). I missed out on the free beer at happy hour (clearly because their liquor license hasn't been approved yet - they can't sell, but they can give it away.) I have stayed here three years in a row, primarily because it's relatively inexpensive, and it's close to the bus line which I can take downtown (and back for $2.50).
The bathroom is awful. It was obviously designed to look good, and maybe to comply with the ADA and avoid lawsuits. But there is not a single surface on which to set anything. When I was shaving, I had to set the shaving creme can on the floor. In the shower, I had to balance the (provided) bar soap on the handicap rail. I ended up walking back and forth from the bathroom to the bed for each of the toiletries I needed. And the shower head was at chin level (I'm 6' even). But there was a hand held. It was clean (it's just remodeled) and the bed was comfortable. It looks like they spent most of the remodeling money on the lobby / lounge area. So if you're into hanging out in hotel lounges in North Austin, then maybe you'll like it. Overall, not a bad place, but nothing to e-mail home about.

Newly renovated Best Western Plus. Nice rooms and friendly staff. Great breakfast too. Scrambled eggs, ham, sausage, waffles, potatoes, etc. happy hour at 5:30. Love the Latté machine up front as well! Shiner Bock beer on tap and mixed drinks complimentary! Great relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Renovated, clean and updated hotel! Enjoyed my stay.only downfall is happy hour isn't like others, no bar and no finger snacks! I would stay here again for 89.00 a night! Staff were courteous, breakfast was good and rooms were comfortable!

Stopped in here a few nights ago. The hotel seems nice on both the inside and outside. Looks can be deceiving. For 1, the guy who checked me in was a complete stoned moron who had the expression of Snoop Dog on 420 and the mind set of a teen who just smoked weed for the 1st time. He kept asking me if I wanted to buy a phone off of him. I declined. He kept pushing it on me and I still declined. He then saw the phone I was using and asked if I wanted to maybe trade. I began walking out and getting ready to look else where. He then proceeds to apologize and offers me a 50% discount off their best room. So about $50. I said why not. Room was nothing to write home about. Noisy neighbors and funny smell. Today I checked my banking statement and come to find out this dumbass didn't even bill my card. Thanks Best Western/Ramada! I'd say your #1, but my room smelled liked poo so your #2!

The location is easy to locate however there isn't an easy pathway to arrive there. The rooms were very elegant. The beds were soft and relaxing. The water pressure for the shower and sink were really good. The free breakfast service was set neatly and easy for self-serving. There was more than sufficient parking space.
However, the hotel was experiencing some maintenance work. Despite the inconvenience, all operations were running very smoothly.
The food was quite delicious and in great amounts for all hotel guests!

The hotel was under construction preventing any chance of sleeping in passed seven. The room was small and clean. We enjoyed the use and cleanliness of the pool. The elevator seemed to be having issues. It would go to the top floor, no matter what button was selected, before making it's way to your chosen floor. We enjoyed the breakfast and evening snack. The staff and cleanliness of the hotel definitely made up for the construction.
