We just recently stayed at this Hilton for my daughters birthday. We had a small get together at the pool. Hotel staff was amazing and handled my check in quickly. Special requests I made for my stay were in my room prior to check in. Housekeeping quickly sent up the extra pillows, blanket and roll away when requested. We didn’t try the food but it did smelled good. Rooms are a bit dated but they are large with tall cellings. Both rooms were very clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel to any traveler. It’s right by the airport but you would never know. 4th floor has large windows so I’ll definitely request that floor on our next stay. Wish I could give more than 5 stars.
This hotel is very nice. It's clean and employees are very nice. Getting in and out is actually very easy being that it's at an airport. It has a bar/restaurant inside which I could see being helpful since driving around Austin can be a major pain. I recommend this hotel. They have an outdoor pool, workout room, you know the typical stuff most hotels have. My only gripe is I like to take the stairs. Well in order to get in the first floor the stairs only have a door to the outside. But you can get to every other floor from the stairs. So that's a minor gripe but still one.
Hotel is great I think. Large comfortable rooms. Easy to find everythingjust keep walking, it’s a giant circle.
Staff seems pleasant. The room did not have a microwave or fridge. I imagine if it’s important they would bring me one if asked. Has a bar area, a restaurant, a coffee place and a little shop.
Only negative would be it’s not within walking distance of any restaurants. So basically it’s the hotel or hungry.
EDIT: Had to add this edit to the review.
The restaurant staff was really good and nice people. I had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and the chips and cheese.
The potatoes were sweet tasting. Some people may like that. But I wish I had known before ordering. The chicken fried steak was really really bland. Amazingly bland. It could win blandness contest. BUT it was handmade; not of the microwave variant at least.
Again the staff was absolutely terrific. The food can not be blamed on anyone; it’s just my own particular taste.
My first stay here, I like the lounge, that is massive just like anything in Texas. The rooms are decent also. Staff is friendly and will go extra step to help you. You have quiet few options at the lounge, to go to a bar, get coffee just relax. The best thing about this hotel is the proximity to the airport. It literary takes 5 (less than 5!) to get to the airport from the hotel. Shuttle runs every 20 minutes around the clock.
This Hilton is quite unique. The building was formerly the command post for the Air Force Base that once inhabited the airfield. It has been converted into a lovely hotel. The circular shape of the buildings means that half of the rooms offer a view of the surrounding area. The other half looks out onto a large center atrium. I've stayed here a couple of times now. The rooms are not new, but they are nice, typical Hilton quality. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel sits on the airport property so you're literally a couple of minutes from the terminal. You still need a shuttle or a car. It's not walkable. I love the location. It's an easy drive to anywhere in Austin. I'll definitely stay here again.
Staff very friendly. Property is clean and well maintained. Restaurant was a huge disappointment. Food was mediocre at best and service was very, very bad. Kitchen staff arguing with wait staff loud enough for all to hear. Very slow.
Larger than normal room, but tv was way too small.
Got in after a long day of travel. Hotel staff was pleasant and room was clean. Great first impression. Had dinner and drinks in the cafe and food and wait staff was great
The location is at the airport in Austin which is convenient for those coming to Austin by plane. The customer service was decent no complaints about the front desk employees. However their food wasn't what I expected from such a large Hilton. I give their food 2 stars. But overall it was an okay hotel liked how spacious the guest one bedroom rooms were.
Fairly isolated from anything except the airport. They have a hotel/ bar on site which is not bad but limited otherwise. Must pay for parking as a guest
Hotel of choice for many years for our company professional events. Always a great time and the staff is incredibly friendly. Be sure to check out the restaurant - it's good.
While the hotel was cozy and accommodating, it feels as if it is stuck in a time capsule. The price does not reflect the outdated style. The wallpaper is right out of the early 90's, the drapery was probably cutting edge in its day but now it seems like curtains you'd find in any classy grandparents house. I also felt that even though it is close to the airport guest should not need to pay for parking. They provide you a pass so to me the paying is over kill or could be used to update. The structure is awesome and unique and I loved the way it was repurposed.
the hotel is nice, spacious and relatively new but not elegant, it's your typical airport hub. The bar and restaurant have a decent menu, trending to serve local choices, and good wine and beverage direction. Service was good and prompt again not romantic or elegant
Room was clean. The toiletries and coffee in the room are really nice. My room was on the interior side and had a nice view and lighting. The pool could use more lawn chairs for lounging. Also there are lots of birds messing up the pool area a bit. Breakfast was good but if you dont have a voucher its way too pricey. Overall not a bad experience.
If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HoteIRaven. com Booked a hotel on there and they had the cheapest rates around
Airport shuttles leaves the hotel every 20 minutes 24/7. Very nice atrium and clean room. I was "upgraded" to a deluxe room, but there was nothing deluxe about it AT ALL. Very bland, actually. Bar was fine (didn't get to try any food). Front desk service was very good. Decent pool and gym.
