I have been coming to this girl for many years and keep returning. Really enjoyed our stay. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Room was clean and in good shape. The hotel is pet friendly. That was a big plus for us! We will certainly come back. Highly recommend this hotel.

Great price and a great location. I, and several friends, have stayed at this hotel while attending San Japan and we absolutely love it. It's in close proximity to the convention center, and the river walk, without being so close that you get a bunch of rowdy people. The beds were comfortable, and the breakfast was about average, but it's enjoyed anyway. I will definitely be coming back to this hotel in the future!

Nice clean property with a bar and restaurant for dinner. Room has a microwave and small fridge with 32" LCD. No safe in rooms! Beds are comfortable and pillows are average. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Reasonable price. Rooms are clean and big. Has an outdoor swimming pool. Breakfast is not many but enough for you to make you feel full.
The con is it sits near the Alamo, just 2-3 corners away. Walk just a few steps, you gonna enjoy the famous San Antonio riverwalk.response / report this review -

Stay here anytime we can. Easy 5 minute walk to mall across the street. Easy 12 minute walk to river walk. Clean, quiet and attractive place to stay. Friendly staff. Valet parking. Courteous and friendly valet workers.

We stayed here for a few days while we attended an event and this hotel was beautiful. The rooms where great and they have a wonderful breakfast. It's a quick walk to just about everything fun also. I would certainly stay here again.

Great place to stay. Pet friendly. Support staff extremely friendly & helpful. Pool with hot tub, guest laundry, very nice rooms. If I have one complaint it's the cost of parking. I would definitely stay at another La Quinta, but this one is a winner.

Wow it is truly hard to find good help these days. Came to this La Quinta for a rather important meeting and was told I could not park to meet with a customer of the La Quinta. The person that I was meeting is staying at this hotel and has already paid probably around $200 to stay at the hotel and hear they're telling me they won't let me park for 30 minutes. After being disrespected by "Aaron" who claimed to be the manager I was then told by the front desk clerk that they would let me go ahead and park for free to have my meeting. She gave me a ticket and I drove out to park in the parking lot when I stopped by the booth to hand in the ticket he said it be $25. This obviously aggravated me greatly so I went back and talked to the Aaron guy and he not only didn't help me he went on to insult me, told me I was being "irritating" and then refused to give me his managers information so I can file a complaint on him. He stated it was company "policy."
I am truly bewildered by how horrible Aaron's customer service was and the fact that they called him a supervisor. Furthermore, I advise anybody who's going to come down here to stay by the Riverwalk in San Antonio to pick a good hotel. This La Quinta is not a good hotel. I will be following up with this issue and I will get Aaron's managers information, one way or another.response / report this review -

Really nice place to stay. Price was really good and staff was very friendly. The breakfast was extremely delicious, had plenty of sitting area and everything was endless. Room was very clean and ready for immediate use. My only complaint is parking, which is understandable due to their location. They want it for hotel guests, not people trying to walk down to the Riverwalk just a block away. All in all, I'd stay here again if I'm ever in the area.

We just used the parking lot during our visit downtown. Some members of our group also used the restroom while we paid for the parking. Everything was very nice and we'll kept. The staff was friendly and made our transaction smooth.

This hotel is very convenient to the Riverwalk and the convention center. Both are just a block away. Parking does cost extra. The Continental breakfast is included. They serve scrambled eggs, bagels, waffles, sausages, orange and apple juice, muffins, and bananas. The elevators are a bit of a mess in the mornings. The rooms are spacious. Up to 2 dogs are allowed per room no extra cost.

This hotel reminds me of a classy older movie star (think Lauren Bacall). The lobby is impressive with lots of marble, gold gilt, and architectural features. Brass is everywhere. The rooms are large and very well equipped with king beds, fresh linens, sitting areas, and large bathroom. Free breakfast and free "kickback time" serving buffet of great foods and free mixed drinks, wine or beer. All the personnel working there were super helpful and friendly. We loved it.

The location was great. It was within a 10 minute walking distance to several attractions and restaurants. The hotel was dealing with a youth barbershop singing event that included over 200 kids ages under 25. Nevertheless, they had plenty of free breakfast for everyone and didn't seem to have many issues. The staff were respectful and patient with us. Would recommend.
