I'm giving this high rating due to potential. Construction will be compete very soon. When I arrived at 11pm with a reservation, I was afraid they weren't open because the hotel is surrounded by a construction fence. The lobby is being renovated, so they have check-in set up in a conference room near a side door, and clear signage leads you to that door.
The staff has been friendly and professional during the disruption, and they moved breakfast to a conference room room in the conference center area. My room was great. It was freshly renovated with a big bathroom, fresh linens, and new furniture in the seating area.
Best thing is that my king room was only $80. This is a great hotel for someone passing through or someone needing a place to stay while in town.
They were under renovation so it was to be expected that the hotel did not look pleasing. The room was renovated with MANY plug ins and usb ports! The bathroom was roomy and modern with a sliding glass door. The staff was friendly except for the older man checking people into their rooms. He seemed frustrated and angry that the "help" was a little late to their shift. If he didn't get angry it wouldn't have seemed so rushed and stressed. The wifi was out for the first day, which other customers were calling to complain about, which was also disappointing. Breakfast was provided but because of renovations was rather lackluster. The pool was also closed. The gentleman that was running a little late to check us in was very professional and apologized for the wait to check in and kept his cool.
Place is a dump. We were told lobby was under construction but rooms were new. NOT! The room we were given was dark and looked old. Hotel had no computer for us to print off boarding passes for a flight!! Elevator must have been 50 years old! We left and went to Holiday Inn. So much nicer.
Update - total disappointment! Made reservation had no mention the fact building was under construction. Amenities listed we’re not available bathroom layout is horrible almost kick the stop getting in the shower for the door multiple times.
Disappointing! Thin walls that let me listen to my neighbors TV and screaming kids. A wardrobe that is to short to hang my pants up. A shower with horrible water pressure. Rooms are in need of a refresh, very dated feel.
Positive is a pretty good breakfast.
Got thru Priceline as a 2-1/2 star and more like a 2 at best.
Location is great because it's right off the main highway and only 10 minutes from the place I need to be. The hotel is under construction so I am pretty sure the rooms are brand new. At least mine was. It's well done, smells new, is very clean, and just overall very nice. Since they are still working on things it's tough to give a critical or even a 5 star review. The lobby is closed and being run out if a conference room and breakfast is in a conference room. But overall it seems this place is heading in a great direction.
The hotel was fine. The room smelled dank, for lack of a better word, like a damp cave, kinda, but I was super tired after driving back from the eclipse that after 10 hours on the road, nothing was going to keep me from sleeping the four hours I had budgeted. Breakfast was exactly what I want from a hotel breakfast. Basically, the only star off was the weird smell, and breakfast and the beds were great.
I had a suite room and it was in very good condition. It was roomy and quiet. There was a door between the living room and the bedroom that I could close, which was handy for putting my daughters to sleep. The two people I spoke to were friendly but didn't approach me to say hello. I said hello to them :) the food was good. The hotel is under reno but it was fine - I didn't hear anything and the storage containers were tucked out of the way and tended off appropriately. My suite was clean but very dated; it was obvious patchwork had occurred over the years and the furniture, while clean, was not as comfy as it once was. I knocked a star off for that. Otherwise, great experience. Recommend.
My room was newly renovated. Still had the fresh paint and new carpet smell. The bed was about a 6 out of 10 comfort wise. Mattress was a bit hard and the new sheets were a little scratchy. All in all it was a decent place to stay.
Going through some remodeling currently, but still a pleasant stay. Convenient location, friendly staff, clean room, but furnishings were definitely dated.
Room was ok. Clean and quaint, you could tell the room needed renovating, but the hotel IS in the middle of doing so it looks like. My wife and I enjoyed the Jacuzzi tub in our room. Staff was mostly friendly as well. However their breakfast is nothing to write home about. No scrambled eggs or bacon or sausage. I wouldn't expect all 3, but it was disappointing to have none. Just not a big selection.
If I could give this 0 stars I would. Couldn't even get into our room with our key. People roasting weed in the halls. The staff was no help. Don't even believe I actually got a refund.
It was a good location close to the highway. It's clear that they are renovating the hotel, some parts look very nice however it's clear that it's aging. I stayed in a room with a Jacuzzi and the room showed it's age. Missing sections of grout from the tiles around the Jacuzzi, bathroom light switch barely functioned, bed had something sharp sticking out of it, smelled like cigarette smoke (non-smoking room). Old furniture. I'm sure it was very nice at one time, but I had higher expectations for $150 a night. They are currently remodeling I believe one floor at a time. I'm sure it will be better eventually.
Hotel decor is a bit dated, but they do a nice job making it comfortable. The staff is so friendly. They learn your name and make you feel right at home. Nice fitness center. Rooms are spacious. Breakfast has a lot of variety.
