Nice hotel. Quietwell maintained. Staff was always friendly. Well located for beach and University.
A nice 10 minute walk to the beach. Nice, modern rooms. Good service. Overall, a nice hotel.
I stayed at this hotel 6 years ago and it was nice then. Now it's really nice! The hotel itself is old but the interior is very nice. And so are the staff how could you not be nice when you get to see beautiful La Jolla everyday? The rooms are very comfortable and modern. The pool area and bar is quite nice to relax in. I would highly recommend this place as it is a nice hotel and within walking distance to restaurants, shops, and the beach.
Hotel was nice for the most part. Staff very friendly but we were on 3rs floor by the pool. It was very noisy with pool, music and street noise. They put noise cancelling noise machine in room which is great for people who like noise when they sleep but I don't so sleep was poor. Plus their light switches have bright lights on them which were at eye level. Room was clean bed was very soft and a bit broken down pillows small and super soft. Just not a good night sleep for me.
Loved this hotel. So close to the little La Jolla Shores town, and a short walk through town to the beach. Funky laid back vibe. I love that the rooms all look out toward the ocean. Great views. Great upstairs dining in the roof!
Oh the views!! Great spot to grab a drink and some apps and watch the sun set. So beautiful. Food is very good. Little pricey but you are in La Jolla. Happy hour is ok, not a very big menubut did I mention the view?
Hotel La Jolla is a premium hotel. Lots of high end features and finishes. Fantastic service. Rooms on the upper floors have the option of ocean views. The balconies are spacious! Each room has a neat shower with a glass wall which looks into the room, you can close this off for more privacy. The hotel is lacking free parking, you are required to pay for valet or park way down the road. Also, breakfast is not included, although you can purchase breakfast for $$$$$$$$$.
It's a lightly renovated hotel, made to look like it's more boutique than just a slight upgrade from a two star hotel.
The $35 valet fee is frustrating, and the rooms are small, but everything else is fantastic. Service was great. Get a room on or above the 5th floor for a fantastic view! Good value for the location and hotel quality.
Everything has an additional charge, which was very surprising - overnight parking was significantly more than it should have been for the quality of this place. Service on the phone said Free WiFi, but it's a minimum $15 a day. Probably the most mismanaged Hilton branch I've seen.
This hotel is amazing!! Incredible views, service, drinks and food! Oliver the bellman/valet was so helpful and a true professional. We had great drinks every night at the bar. Mark our bartender was incredible. He can make some delicious drinks and he was very helpful with giving us information about the area. Our room had three balconies with some gorgeous views. Breakfast every morning was outstanding(not complimentary) and the coffee is wonderful! We had dinner one night at the hotel and it was great! We will be back one day. I highly recommend this hotel and the staff is outstanding.
I liked the room overall but they need to do something about the linen. No fitted sheet drive me up the wall causing me to wake up twice. Yes there are ear plugs but I sleep with the door open and did not need them. It's just too be nice. Because of the parking I will not stay here again. Parking I the street is okay and the area is safe but we were charged 35 dollars for parking. The lot attendants were really nice and what I would expect from someone helping me with my car but I don't like being cornered into a parking charge. The back of the hotel is open so it is more like a motel but it's Late Jolla who cares. Overall I enjoyed my stay and will check with them before booking in the area but if the parking stays with a forced charge I will not stay here again.
