While La Jolla has seen an increase in many fine "destination" worthy lodging choices, La Valencia still maintains a well deserved status as THE favorite with knowledgeable travelers. Historic, Charming, Sophisticated. Village center location, all shopping and beach attractions within easy walk. Onsite bar and upscale dining offerings. In-house spa. Best ocean views in California from lobby and preferred rooms! Lower priced non view rooms trend small, but hotel upscale accommodation choices rate as some of the best in San Diego for those willing to pay for quality. Valet parking. Concierge.

Hospitality Divine! A Charming old world Boutique Hotel. Breakfast was absolutely fabulous and they served it to us early so we could make graduation at the Marine Corps Base. Very much appreciate the extra mile that Jason went to at the front desk.

I was the DJ at La Valencia for an amazing wedding this past weekend. I have done 30+ weddings & special events here and they have all been beautiful. The ceremony site is small but has a great view. The staff is very friendly. I recommended that my family and friends stay here and they said they were extremely happy with the service.

One of my favorite boutique properties in the world. It is a historic building so call ahead to check on the room size and vicinity to the housekeeping closets. Amazing view and location for an oceanfront brunch.

Only stopped for a few drinks at the bar at the entrance of the hotel this time. Drinks were great and everyone is so inviting and nice. I've stayed here in the past and is a beautiful location with lots to do and enjoy. I would stay here more often if my wallet could take it.

Restaurant is classy, service is too notch, and every table has a view of the ocean. We ordered the paella and the ribeye. The paella is very good! With octopus, prawns, scallops, muscles, and chorizo. Actually it may be a little busy, but very tasty. Anyways there are local shops, art and photo galleries, as well as jewelry shops. Also the beach is within walking distance. The main attraction of eating at the Valencia is the views of the ocean.

Visited La Valencia for a wedding reception. The garden was incredibly beautiful and the view was amazing. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was the best I have ever had at a wedding!

Went to The Med restaurant at the Hotel. From the beginning the experience was wpnderful. The hostess was very friendly and gave us a great table with a wonderful view on the patio deck. The views from the patio were beautiful and you could see and smell the ocean. The waitress was friendly and gave good recommendations. The diver scallops were amazing. Overall a great restaurant and highly recommended.

Had an amazing stay at La Valencia. The building itself is simply beautiful and the service is very attentive, friendly faces everywhere. The room was very comfortable and nice. Feels like being in California's golden age. Can't wait to go back.

Love staying here! Never want to leave. They have beautiful views overlooking La Jolla Beach. You're only a block away from the beach, there are restaurants everywhere within walking distance. All of the staff is pleasant and nice. Of course it's a little bit pricey to stay but it's worth it.

Excellent service from arrival to departure. Location within walking distance to restaurants and shore. Newly renovated Sky Icon room was amazing! Spectacular view of the cove and very spacious for two people. Bellman and hotel staff were very helpful and responsive to request for shoe shine and dinner menu from the MED.

Really enjoyed La Valencia. We had a nice and quiet anniversary here. They gave us a bottle of champagne. The rooms were really nice. I wouldn't call the sea view really a view but it wasn't too bad. We were happy to lounge around. It was also a close walk to La Jolla beach.
