Stayed for a day.. Our room was nice and clean. The view of the ocean was great. The staff were accommodating and friendly. The only thing I didn't like was the parking wasn't free ($20 per night).

This hotel is located right on the Cove in La Jolla, San Diego overlooking the ocean! The rooms have been upgraded but they are just standard rooms. We asked for a room with an oceanview before making our reservation. The rooms facing the ocean all come with a sliding door and balcony. The staff are super friendly, rooftop breakfast is included and the price is very reasonable. We left the sliding door open over night and could hear the peaceful sound of the waves before falling asleep. Wonderful experience!

Very nice view, with the balcony rooms near the water front. Cleaned room everyday of our 4 day stay. There was not a restaurant inside the hotel and the amenities of a bar on the roof top was not there since we visited during off season in October (but this was not mentioned when we made reservations). Great sized rooms, fits our family of 5 nicely. Vert nice staff. Bathrooms were average, need updating.

I'm shocked by some of the reviews below. We had a great time. Our room was clean and comfortable. You could tell it's an old hotel because the bathtub was chipping but everything else was great. We had no problem parking however they do charge you $20 to park. I was able to check in at 1:30 even though check in time was at 4. The main thing you pay for here is location but the room met my expectations.

We stayed in a 2 queen + 1 king suite. It was great for kids and had a lot of space. It also had a pull out couch so each of my 3 kids were able to have their own bed. There's technically enough room for 8 people. There was a mini fridge and microwave which made it easy to keep lunch stuff in the room.

The amenities were good. Breakfast on the roof was great and had a little more than most continental breakfasts. We did not swim in the pool but walked by and it was nice, same thing for the outdoor game area.

Reviews below say there's no AC however our room has it. After reading other reviews when I booked, I'm pretty sure just the standard 1 king or 2 queen rooms don't have it but the others do.

Great family destination. Awesome ocean views, free better-than-continental breakfast, beautiful location across the street from the park and cove, close to everything, and surpsingly affordable. We've stayed here several times and will keep coming back!

The experience here was awesome. Being able to walk to the beach and see the sea lions and seals was sweet. The people were super nice and welcoming. The room was very clean and updated. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. The only thing we had a problem with was paying for parking while we stayed. Everything else was awesome. We will be staying here again. Thanks La Jolla Cove suites for the stay.

The hotel rooms are immaculately clean and modern looking. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is enjoyable with a variety of options. The rooftop view is beautiful with plenty of seating and some outdoor couches to watch the sunset. Our single queen bed room is smaller than I thought and since it is facing the parking lot its not as quiet as I would prefer. But, other than that, we are enjoying our stay and will definitely come back.

Overall great for the price. We stayed in a 2 bed 2 bath and it was a great location (the hotel is opposite the ocean and the breakfast deck has panoramic views of the bay) and plenty of room for a family. The pool and games area kept the family entertained at the end of the beach days. Parking was good in a very tough to park area.

The kitchen is very dated - OK for simple food but you would struggle with a complex meal.

    Breakfast excellent.

So taking in the high price of La Jolla it is a good family hotel.

One caution - lots of stairs and so poorly sorted to anyone not happy constantly walking up and down.

If the room that you are staying in is most important thing to you, then look elsewhere. The rooms can use renovating. Bathroom had chips in the door and walls, old facets, back bedroom had no air conditioning and the windows were right next to a walk way, so I didn't feel comfortable sleeping with the window open. Parking was a problem as well. However, the views were amazing! It was great sitting on the balcony, looking over the cove and listening to the seals. Breakfast looking over the cove was a nice touch, but could use maybe an omelette bar. I would stay there again.

The location right near the water is unbeatable. The rooms are very nice and provide plenty of space. The only issue we had was that a power outlet was not working when we arrived, but it was quickly fixed by maintenance.

We had a great time. We stayed for a week over Easter 2017. Staff was awesome. Location was out of this world. We booked a 2 bedroom 2 bath. It was a huge room each with its own bath and shower. 3 patio doors and was awesome. Reminded us more of a condo or apartment community than a hotel. Very quiet with the awesome exception of the waves crashing on the rocks and seals and sea lions barking in the distance. Yes it is true, no central AC, but in no way needed. Average temp is 70 and with the awesome breeze from the ocean very comfortable. Room was a bit dated as far as the kitchen goes but otherwise very clean and a great value. I will definitely recommend this establishment to others and wouldn't hesitate to book again

Nice renovated rooms, free breakfast (as small as it is) is always a nice touch, beautiful views and location, great pool facilities. Maintenance fixed our room key issues quickly. Great staff. Only real downside is the increased parking cost, but otherwise, lovely place. We've always loved staying here.

The hotel was right on the Pacific by the Cove which is an awesome location with sea lions, kayaking, scuba diving, snorkeling, etc. The hotel was dated, but sufficient and clean with a complimentary breakfast. Parking was $40/day vs. the $20 advertised. We had two bedrooms each with a king size bed. The walls are definitely not sound proof. Again, not a five star hotel, but great location between the ocean and tons of shooing.

The staff was super courteous & friendly. We have a beautiful room with an ocean view off the balcony. Our room was a suite, so I had m own room in the hotel. Each morning the hotel serves breakfast on the roof-top. Lovely!
