People were nice and check-in was fast. But the hotel is under renovation making it difficult to get to the entrance from the small parking lot. The bath tub and sink wouldn't drain properly but maintenance person finally fixed it after driving people to the airport (multi talented). The air conditioner didn't work properly but we were able to force it to work. That said, we got a good night's sleep and the hotel is very close to the FLL airport.

The place LOOKS great, however functionality wise this is not so. The elevator takes ten years to open, the bathroom sink (at least in my room) barely worked. The beds wsre soft but to the point where they're uncomfortable. Other than that, the staff was nice and the wifi worked. It's okay at best.

I am amazed at the high ratings that this establishment gets. It is average at best. It is old, tired and frankly dirty. Want to prove it? Walk across the floor in your room with a pair of white socks on. That said, the service was good and the location to port everglades can't be beat. But, have no illusions, this is not an elegant stay. I have stayed in much nicer holiday in expresses in the past. Management has not reinvested in this hotel in a while. They are building an addition. Perhaps those rooms will be nicer.

The hotel was going through construction and there was absolutely no where to park. They could have let us know before booking the reservation so we can look elsewhere, we were left having to park down the street and couldn't use the luggage cart bc there was too much construction going on. I usually love Holiday Inns but was very unhappy with my experience with this one.

I would give them 5 stars but I lost two garments and I haven't heard anything back about that. It was a business trip and it was my only outfit since I wanted to travel light so I had to stick to my pjs.. very inconvenient but besides that it was great.

I have to say everyone was great from the beginning of our stay until the end. Room service was great I recommend if you are in the Ft.lauderdale area and are in need of hotel this is the place to check in.😁😊😉

I'm giving this hotel 5 stars because of their front desk clerk Greg. He is a gifted people person, and after me and my family waited for 55 minutes at the airport for a shuttle, Greg's customer service was professional and outstanding!! Very impressed with his positive attitude to assure my family was treated as the customer. Thank you!! Also close to get food, many choices, and any forgotten items.

As an African-American man, female Black front desk staff were quite indifferent to me as I came and went through the lobby, yet were openly friendly to Caucasian guests traversing the lobby. Its like I was invisible. Hotel was nice, but the staff could use some pointers on how to talk to people of their OWN race, and not bring personal feelings to the job.

Flight came in after midnight so we had to take a taxi to the hotel but the hotel covered the cost. They called me earlier in the day to confirm my one king bed selection. We arrived to two doubles with no other rooms available. Still have 3 days so we shall see if it gets better.

Stayed the night before a cruise. The location is close to Port and very convenient to any last second shopping for all the forgot to bring items. They are currently adding a parking deck behind the building which will substantially increase their options. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. They had plenty of good tips and suggestions for the local area. The hotel was clean and at the level you expect from the Holiday Inn brand. Everything was new looking and modern. My family enjoyed the stay. I definitely recommend. The prices were very competitive, and this location should not be overlooked.

Nice staff, and nice hotel. Don't plan on an early check in They are VERY busy with cruise traffic. Lots of restaurants nearby (low cost and nicer).

They initially messed up and gave us the wrong room but it was quickly solved. The hotel is overall pretty basic but nice for an overnight stay for a cruise the next day.

Slow to clean rooms. Staff wasn't the most understanding when asked questions. Room was nice but NO water pressure in the shower. Told front desk but never got fixed over 3 day stay. Lots of construction and very little parking.
