In short, my stay at this hotel was nothing short of perfect. The pool is the perfect temperature while the rooms are very nice following resort style rooms. With the water activities, they also have resort wide music, upscale board games and table tennis.
The Pelican restaurant which is on the hotel grounds is also phenomenal you will get a kart ride to and from the restaurant on request which is nice as the portions are enormous.
If you are in Miami, this is a very nice place to stay with great rooms, great people, and most important, great food.

I wish I could stay longer!!! Yes the place could use some updates in the rooms but overall it is a unique place to stay with a very friendly and accommodating staff. The restaurants are a bit pricey but the food is good and you get A LOT of it!! If you need taxi service call Kenny from A1 shuttle service hotel has number or Google search. Reasonable and friendly and knowledgeable of area and this hotels interesting history!! I hope to come back here and stay longer. Great pool area with food/ bar area.. very pleased we came across this great find in fort Lauderdale.

Nice Place-needs a little updating but very nice staff. Family environment. Grounds have lots of activities for families ping pong, soccer, volleyball, giant chess board and corn hole. Breakfast at the orchids bar is the best bet-very reasonable prices and Starbucks coffee. Lunch at the hotel restaurant is pricier but very good and large portions. Iliany at the front desk was SO nice and very helpful!!

Located in a very nice spot walking distance to many many restaurants period for people from out of the area have not stayed in hotels this place is a little pricey with drinks and food be prepared. The room was very nice cool large oversized pillows bed was very comfortable good for the smash out. We enjoyed our stay and we will be staying at this property in the future

Stayed here multiple times before and after cruises. The hotel is modern and accommodating. It has a wonderful swimming pool complex. The Room service is quite good. The breakfast buffet has a wide assortment, and everything has a great taste. They will let you leave your vehicle on site if you are going on a cruise, but they charge a fee that is almost as much as parking at the Cruise terminal. Still feels like the vehicle is in a safer location however.

This was a great experience. Firstly, we arrived, after a 12 hour drive, at 6am. Although check-in was much later, the gentleman at the counter had a room available and allowed us to get it. So we got 2 sleeps for the price of one. So thankful for that We needed it. Also, this hotel is clean and really neat. There's an entire floor that rotates. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and especially the bartender in the lobby. Check out the tree in the photo. It is one of the biggest and unique trees you will see. Picture does not demonstrate it's actual size.

Thank you for the amazing upgrade and view! The staff was very friendly and accommodating! We will definitely be back. The only recommendations I have is to improve the room service food quality. It is over priced for the fair quality at best. We won't spend money locally until that improves. Lowering the prices and improving the food quality will go a long way to making this a go to spot.

This hotel was horrible. The staff told my friend to cut a large towel in half to use in place of a wash cloth since he claimed that's the smallest cloths he had. After calling the front desk, magically he came back with 6 normal wash cloths. The maid obviously never vacuumed because the same dead moth lie on the floor for five days straight in the same spot. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere. This was one of my worse stays ever. Not to mention having to pay $32 a night just to park myself in their Avis lot. The bed was so overused I had backaches everyday. My friend got mugged at the local Red Lobster and the police told her they were too busy to come out to take the report. Just a pitiful experience.

This was one of the best experiences that I've ever had. As a frame of reference, I've stayed at the best luxury hotels in the U.S. The customer service was excellent, with each and every encounter with hotel staff being pleasant, and genuinely friendly. The food and beverages were excellent. I ate at all of the four restaurants and each meal was delicious and pleasant. Drinks were properly strong and not watered down. I highly recommend this hotel!

Stayed here and had a great experience. Overall, rooms clean, pool area relaxing, a little outdated but everything worked the way it was expected to and the service was incredibly sufficient for business travel.

Also, I messed up my reservation and had a 4 night stay reserved and only used 2 of those nights. They were kind enough to work with me and rebate some of my error in a definite act of goodwill. They easily could have told me no but were willing to help me out for my poor planning.

It is nice to work with a hotel that treats their guests well even after they stay. Look forward to going back if I get a chance.

This hotel is perfect for a pre cruise stay. Short distance from airport and even shorter to the cruise ship terminal. The rooms in the tower are very nice. A nice little bar with very good service. Nice breakfast buffet.

We did not stay the night, just visited guests of the hotel for lunch and drinks at the lobby restaurant and bar. The food and drinks were made well and the portions we're reasonable. Price was a little high but that's to be expected for an in resort restaurant. The service was well below standard. It was a Friday lunch and there were maybe 3 tables total. Our server disappeared for long stretches and was hard to find. Getting our order in became an ordeal because we tried to put the order for the children in first like we usually do, but after that it was 20 minutes before we saw the server again. If we stayed in the hotel we'd likely avoid the lobby restaurant and opt for the poolside location - or more likely, avoid the on property food options altogether.

We went to a wedding at this hotel. The ceremony was downstairs and had a nice glass window view. It was a little crowded feeling for the number of people. Cocktail hour was there also. Then upstairs the reception was at the top of the building. Fantastic view. The food was delicious. The room slowly spun around. It was a great event venue!

Seems like an old hotel from the vintage Florida 60's days that they've tried to update. So now it looks like a run down modern hotel. Still there is a distinctive charm here that is lurking underneath. Service is adequate for a Hyatt. Pool and amenities are nice though. It almost feels like a resort. Seek out Carlos at the bar for good service.

The pier and surrounding area is extremely nice and good for and leisurely stroll. How do people afford these yachts?
