It's a decent hotel. Not a 5 star hotel, but definitely well maintained. There's only 3 floors of rooms, so they're relatively small. It's an 8 minute walk from their downtown area for great food and entertainment. Service is a bit lacking when it comes to requesting towels, but maybe they were working on a skeleton crew.

The staff makes this hotel so awesome.
This is your typical "low-age" Hyatt Place. Super clean straightforward Hyatt Place rooms.
BUT, without this caring staff it would be your usual hotel. Upon check in, they had fun with me being a Globalist with a fun silly game. A GSA delivered some sweets to my room.
    Everybody cared.

And they kept me private. The amazing housekeeper, she is the most wonderful housekeeper, she is small dark hair with pony tail, so human, so genuine. What is her name, shout out to her!

Nestor, Pedro, Jack, Joey, Julia, sorry have forgotten everyone's names.
A striking staff, should run for Hyatt Place Team Of The Year, if there is one, you have my vote.

Lastly, and it's not fair to this Hyatt alone, its all Hyatt Place breakfasts the past 6 months, but its awfully inedible.

Otherwise, a great experience and recommend to anyone!

Nice clean hotel very close to Ft. Lauderdale convention center. I was there for a trade show at the convention center, so that was convenient. Probably not close enough for most people to want to walk, especially in the heat of summer, but just a 2 minute drive. Guest services was very hospitable and pleasant. The room was adequate in size, though the bathroom was on the small side. On-site parking was free, though there is a serious drainage problem if they get a torrential rain (which happens often in Florida during the summer) . A lot if the parking spaces had ankle deep water the morning we went to leave. Fortunately, one side of our car was accessible to get to. Moved the car to load up.

Big rooms and a free breakfast. It smells a bit like old person but I think that may just be Florida and it's for sure not a deal breaker. They have a nice pool area and the breakfast is delicious. Across the street and through the parking garage is a bunch of restaurants and a grocery store. so If you starve it's your fault. A mile to the east down the main road is a bridge with a good view. And a mile past that is a beach. There's a trolley that picks up in front of the grocery store and it will take you there.

Very nice room, carpet and all furnishing kept up well. Good amount of space and design very modern.
Hotel charge $7 pp to cruise port, free breakfast 7-10 am , real nice good cooked eggs, sausages and pancakes! Fruits , cereal and variety of breads (they even have real silver ware , plates and bowls)!
    Definitely good buy!!

I had a wonderful experience the support staff really made my stay great! The shuttle porter Julio was awesome! A very helpful gentleman and my cleaning service with Julia was equally as great! My stay was awesome thanks to the these 2 people and the other staff at Hyatt on 17th street!

Check-in was smooth, and the room was very clean. It was also a very nice arrangement that would provide a semblance of privacy for multiple occupancy. The breakfast was also decent. Nothing to write home about, but it was good and filling.

verything was awesome except the front desk clerk at check in! I wanted to slap her! She left a bad taste in my mouth! Especially after traveling all day! The other people working there were super friendly and helpful!

Great hotel. Perfect if you are leaving the port for a cruise or flying. Room are very nice and clean. Free breakfast. It's not inexpensive but nothing of quality in that area is. I stay there often when work takes me to south Florida.

Great experience!! My flight was cancelled and the Hyatt shuttle happened to be right outside the airport. The driver was so friendly, gave me water and called the hotel to see if they had availability and I booked on the spot.
I was greeted and the front desk and was treated so well. They have Starbucks on site which was a pleasant surprise. The room was gorgeous, comfortable and relaxing which was just what I needed after spending the day at the airport only to have my flight cancelled.
Great hotel, friendly staff, clean and comfortable.

Nice hotel! I'd stay there again as an overnight pit stop. I wouldn't pay the $350 a night they were charging, but we got it for 8000 points. Service was not stellar when we checked in, but not bad by any means either. The room was spacious and well cared for. Overall, nice place.

Love this hotel before you are headed on a cruise! Great breakfast and awesome rooms! Adam at the front desk gives amazing service for customers! They take very good care of of you during your stay including shuttles needed to get to and from the airport and also to and from the cruise port.
