I remember having to stay here time and time again when we were looking for a home in San Clemente just because the housing market in South OC is crazy!! Needless to say I got very comfortable at this location. Complaints: Parking is brutal, Breakfast - nothing special, but what do you expect? Bonuses: Staff is ULTRA friendly, and this place is easy (even for out of towners to find).

Pretty good place to stay/visit. Very friendly staff (even at 130am). My ONLY complaints are that the parking can be limited when the hotel is full, and the rooms are older so the bed choices are limited as well. Besides that, very nice!

Staff excellent and helpful and friendly. Very professional. Accommodation very pleasant and clean. Breakfast well put together with a lot of variey. Recommending Hampton Inn to all my friends.

Great Staff, super chill but on top of their game. High quality of client care and service. Very clean, unbelievable Ocean view and awesome guest. Great place but space is limited and room go quick. Super support services nearly within walking distance, countless restaurants, shops, bars, cubs, and the beach.

The hotel is easy to find and the staff are incredibly friendly. The parking is terrible, and the breakfast is typical of a continental breakfast. I wish there were healthier options. The rooms are clean, and the staff does a great job cleaning them. It's talky close to I5, and that's a plus. When staying I'd recommend a room which doesn't look towards the ocean, the highway traffic is pretty loud.

Nice, clean rooms but more attention to detail needs to be paid such as changing AC filters and making sure toilets flush consistently.

Great value, decent location, nice perks. Stayed on a Thursday night in February on a one-night Groupon deal. Semi-suite room on 1st floor (room 116), king size bed with living room area in same studio space, no bath, 2 televisions, microwave, mini fridge, and nice balcony with table and chairs. Odd numbered rooms face ocean, even face a golf course. Room was very comfortable but the heat didn't work (~65 degrees all night), but plenty of bedding to stay warm. Floor was cold/moist in one corner. Fridge made a ticking sound which bothered my wife but I didn't notice. Pool and spa were very nice and heated. Hot coffee and water throughout the afternoon and evening. Fresh cookies around 5pm. Complimentary breakfast was very nice, buffet-style buy included eggs, ham, potatoes, 2 waffle stations, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, juices, so-so pastries, but plenty of options. Opposite side of freeway from the beach. 15-20 minute walk to beach. 5 minute walk to liquor store and Irish pub. Quiet, safe area. Would stay again!

Stayed here for five nights for free thanks to Virgin points. Booked a king suite but ended up with two double beds. Big deal. Had a suite that faced Interstate 5. Heard no noise but the drawback is you have no balcony on that side of the building (you do have some ocean view though) but it means that you can not open the windows. It gets stuffy in the room quick. The air conditioning and heat works at extremes it was hard to get a good balance. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The buffet breakfast is quite basic but does its job. Try to get their early before too many children show up. There is no bar at the hotel but there are a few within walking distance and also a liquor store so you can fill up your frig with beer. I found the complimentary wifi to be average like at other Hilton properties as they want you to pay for premium speeds but generally worked fine even when streaming. Convenient underground parking and it is an easy walk to the beach and San Clemente village. Nice place to stay with very good and friendly staff. I recommend getting a room that has a view of the golf course with a balcony though.
