The staff was extremely helpful completing my zombie costume. The staff showed me how to apply the "scars" and blood that I bought. They went above and beyond.

I've been going to these stores since I moved back to Chicago. Having just moved to river north from wicker park I was very happy to see a location just down the street from my new apartment. The staff was friendly and accommodating. They had recently sold out of one specific item (out of many I needed) and went the extra mile to have that item brought to this store the next day. Good for you Halloween hallway, good for you!

the 900 state st location which is suppose to be open according to their website isn't actually open, which I found out the hard way. Meanwhile, their phone number won't actually transfer you to a store, or any personel for that matter, it directs you to a voicemail message.

My guess is the first review (and only five star review) you see here was posted by one of the owners, avoid this place like the plague, the way it is run is sketchy, and they clearly don't care about customer service.

Only go here if you really wanna phone it in on Halloween. A bunch of prepackaged junk, but nothing too creative or interesting. They were also pretty unhelpful when I wanted to ask about specific props. The stuff listed on their website wasn't in the store, and they couldn't even refer me to someplace else to find what I needed. It's basically a glorified version of the Halloween aisle at Walgreen's.
