I am a loyal Nordstrom customer and cardholder. I had never really been a fan of the Rack stores because it had the perception of lesser quality of customer service. How wrong was I?!
I was in Chicago for a day trip for lunch and shopping. I had several shopping bags with me. I decided to check out the Nordstrom Rack store before I left. I didn't buy anything.
When I got to the airport, I realized I had left one of my shopping bags while trying on shoes in the Rack. I frantically called the store hoping someone had turned it in.
I spoke with the lovely Wendy, whom informed me that someone had indeed turned it in. I explained the situation that I was at the airport and didn't know when I would be back in the city to pick it up. She was so gracious. They don't typically ship anything from the store, however, Wendy told me if I hadn't heard from them before close of business, to call back the next morning and they would figure something out.
Long story short, she called me back and arranged for my bag to be shipped to my home in Atlanta. (I had to buy a $3 chap stick and pay for shipping but well worth the price to pay to get my $150 jewelry back!)
The package arrived today and I have my jewelry back! Thank you so much to Wendy and the staff at this Nordstrom Rack. They have solidified my loyalty to the Nordstrom brand!

Tiny store, busy with lots of good items.
Friendly staff.
Not all the registers were open 5 pm weekend, so expect wait time for check out.

I have to mentally prepare myself to enter this store. It's always a madhouse and while the staff seemingly does the best they can keeping up, it's like a rat race regardless of when you go, what you're looking for, and how quickly you're able to get out.

I always think I will find things here, but all the racks are super packed and the store is always crowded. Probably good if you have an afternoon to sift through things, but too cluttered otherwise.

There is quite a bit to choose from here. It is well organized and easy to find things. The downside for me was a lack of ladies blazers. However there were so many other great clothes.

One of my favorite stores. Be prepared to take some time to look through the racks though. To find the deals you may have to hunt a little! I always get compliments on my finds from this store.

Downstairs there's a good selection of scarves, designer sunglasses, and accessories at great prices. They have a kiosk downstairs that they can check you out at. They also have a mobile device to check you out. I wouldn't bother with the checkout upstairs the lines were incredibly long. Upstairs, looked like a typical Nordstrom Rack with a few more upscale items being that it's on Michigan Ave.
