Amazing atmosphere. The lobby has high ceilings with exposed wood beams. The restaurant was also great. The bar was fun and inviting and the dining area was just as good. The menu has all the pasta you can ask for.

Went here for a cocktail party on the terrace. Impeccable service. Great tasting food. Very clean. Great place for parties where it is spacious enough, warm and beautiful decor.

Rustic hotel that has plenty of character. You can feel it when you walk in with the lighting, furniture and crackling fire. My room was on the 15th floor and was large with a table, couch, fully equipped bar and large bed. They have lamps in the room that give a darker ambiance but also have large brighter lights in the room and bathroom so you don't feel like you are in the dark (I've been to similar hotels that don't have this like the High Line Hotel). Overall great hotel but pricey, it is a design hotel which you can get SPG points for.

One of the finest hotels in downtown NYC. There are three stunning bar venues on property: Jade Bar, Rose Bar & the rooftop terrace. Rooms are not large, but they are chic. This hotel oozes cool. You might even run into your favorite celeb in the bar or lobby.

Great location. You get access to Gramercy Park, the only private park in Manhattan. Only residents with a property with a window facing the park have access, and luckily the hotel is included and passes along exclusive access to guests. The rooms are beautifully decorated, with a dramatic detailed interior design. Everything is thoughtfully selected, and the room is both comfortable and stunning. A great experience for a NYC stay.

Great vibe with a cosy atmosphere. Staff is friendly and helpful. Access to the private Gramercy Park is a bonus. Some party going on some days with long lines to elevators (which you as a guest can bypass), but rooms are quiet in terms of party noise, but the doors leak a bit from people passing buy outside.

I found this hotel absolutely beautiful! I visited a few weekends ago with family for a wedding. The rooms were very comfortable and decorated in almost a steam-punk fashion. They had hardwood floors, modern light fixtures with exposed bulbs, headboards covered in rich velvet fabric, a beautiful desk and chair, an old fashion radio on the night stand and thick velvet curtains. I thought it was so cool that the building really felt its age - no white walls, no carpeting. My only complaint about our room is that it was so very dark! During the day our window was a great source of light. But at night, you could barely see to read! My father-in-law had a gulf go out in his room and when a man came to replace it he mentioned that they only use 40 watt bulbs. This was definitely a stylistic choice.

Other than that we had a perfectly lovely time!

I would recommend visiting Grammercy Park! It's only open to residents. But t if you ask the security guard at the door, he can take you over (no more than six people at a time). He leaves you with a business card and you call them when you're ready to come out. It's a very simple park - a pleasant place to sit in next car weather.

I first stayed at the Gramercy in 1982. Years later I must admit that I have never stayed anywhere else other than a relative's apartment on the Upper East side. I only stay at the Gramercy.

Is it the fact that so many famous people have also loved this place? Or is it the fact that I can have access to and hangout in the last private park in Manhattan simply by being a guest and asking for the key? Perhaps it's the lovely remodel by Julian and crew that has brought the Gramercy back from the brink. For whatever reason, I think that you will find this pleasant hotel to be one of the finest in its price range as well as one of your future favorites. The hotel's venerable location is excellent for lower to mid-Manhattan visits. My venues are all in the Village or Soho so the Gramercy offers immediate access. Enjoy.

My wife surprised me for my birthday with a night out in the city. She told me that the people at GPH were amazing to work with in setting up the reservation. From the moment we walked into the hotel everything was top notch. I was blown away with the service, the hotel was busy but the concierge and front desk made us feel as if we were the only ones at the hotel. We were welcomed with champagne, our room was upgraded, and they had treats for us waiting in the room when we went upstairs. Walking around the hotel the staff were very welcoming, called us by name and quick to wish me a happy birthday. The hotel ambience is perfect as well. Last we got home and the hotel even messaged my wife to make sure our stay was perfect. We are already looking for another weekend to spend at GPH. Best Place to stay in NYC!!!

Besides being a beautiful property with an excellent location. The staff at the Gramercy Park Hotel goes above and beyond to ensure the satisfaction and comfort of their guests. I ordered room service several times throughout my stay and each time, it was delicious and delivered promptly. While I did have a minor problem with the room, the issue was quickly resolved as soon as I alerted the front desk. I give the GPH 5 stars for location, amenities, customer service, and essentially all around!

It's fine, kind of. But we are here during a blizzard, and the staff still comes off pretentious. It's a beautiful grand old hotel. And is able to blend old world and hipster charm, but just barely. If you are thinking about staying here, don't bother. You get absolutely no perks for paying the price the restaurant won't accommodate you and the bar will deny you. It's a joke. The park is even closed, which all the other reviews said would happen, but I wanted to believe they would honor their marketing ha!
It's exactly what you want believe it won't be, but it is;)

I was there to eat at the restaurant in the Gramercy Park Hotel, Maialino, and it was wonderful! The food was great and reasonably priced for such a fancy place. The service was excellent too. And tips are built into the prices so you know what you're paying as you order. A really nice experience.

Review is for hotel not the restaurant or bar. I stayed here for a week for a business trip. Although hotel is lovely, I didn't find the staff to be warm, helpful or kind. I genuinely hope that management reconsiders what they would like the customer service at the business to look like. Also since it's a Design hotel, SPG benefits are basically non-existent. I wouldn't choose to visit again.
