The hotel is nothing special. I was staying there for a school trip and was underwhelmed. The lobby is quite small and simple and the breakfast area isn't fantastic. The breakfast was actually okay, the sausages were nice but if you want waffles the only topping is syrup. The room itself wasn't bad. I stayed in a room with two double beds and a sofa bed which was fine size wise and everything was clean and fine. Overall I would say it's a perfectly fine hotel, nothing too special.

Location is convenient to lots of nice restaurants and clubs. Hallway is small the rooms are spacious. Other people staying in the hotel were very polite and friendly.

The Heritage Hotel is in a great location for NYC. It is reasonably priced to be so close to Midtown. It was only a 10 minute walk to see the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade. The rooms are very small though. If you have loud neighbors across the hall expect to hear everything they say.

As far as the staff they were extremely friendly and accommodating.

This hotel sits at a fantastic midtown location just steps from Madison Square Park, where if your room faces the right way, you can see a nice chunk of the top of the Empire State Building. Rooms were adequate-to-nice, and the staff was very helpful and pleasant. Being from New Jersey, I don't often stay in Manhattan (we stayed over to watch the Thanksgiving Day Parade), but it's nice to know that a reasonably priced, quiet, and centrally located hotel is there for the booking.

Stayed at the Heritage Hotel while attending a local seminar. The concierges we're very friendly and helpful. As we arrived in NYC many hours before check in, they offered to hold our bags for us at the cost if $1/per bag. Continental breakfast included scrambled eggs, waffles, sausage, cereal, and quite a few other options. Beds we're comfortable. Room contained a safe and mini fridge as well.

I always enjoy my stay at the Heritage Hotel. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I wish they provided bubble bath soaps and that the bath tubs were a little bigger to accommodate a couple for romantic bubble baths. But other than that, I will continue to return.

For a hotel in Manhattan, the price was extremely reasonable. I got more than I expected for a 2.5 star hotel. Besides slow elevators and smaller rooms the hotel was pretty much up to date. The staff was very friendly. I had a solid experience.

Very friendly staff. Comfy bed. Clean room. Great location. Awesome AC unit in the room. Breakfast is what you expect, stay away from the muffins and coffee.

The hotel's location is superb. Intersection of the 5th Ave and Broadway! For $100+ it is the best value I could get. It was my first time booking a hotel in the city center. And it won't be the last, for sure.

The hotel must be 200+ years old. It looks this way, with decorated ceilings and narrow stairs. The rooms are not big as well. But I do not play golf indoors, you know.

Pros are as follows. It's tidy and offers free breakfasts. The staff is helpful and cheerful. They even offered us a twin room for free when saw that we'd booked double accidentally.
Also there is a good Chinese restaurant on the 1st floor. You need to try pork with garlic there. Just believe me. ;)

The only cons was the view from my window. Brick well. But that was quite atmospheric. So I didn't complain. :)

Got the family suite, as a regular room would be a bit tight for our family of 5, especially a NYC room. Room was clean, if a little cozy. Free breakfast was good, but VERY crowded. Location is great. No parking options or partnerships, so if you drive be prepared to pay through the nose at a garage or lot.

Arrived in the hotel and pulled back a cover and there it was, a bed bug crawling in the sheets. We informed the front desk staff members and they immediately were defensive and asked to be shown the room. (Even after bringing the actual bug down to show them) So we go back to the room to look for more, which we didn't find anymore but then we flipped a mattress and there was a dead bug lying there. The staff members were very unpleasant and did not resolve this matter. They suggested that we continue to stay the night and let them know if we . After hours of going back and forth, the management finally agreed to give us a new room. Ended up wasting time and money staying here and will definitely not return or recommend to others!!!

Fine experience, but could use improvement. First there's no lamp. This is a (easily solved) huge issue, because the three obnoxious bright sconces are all wired together, so it's all or nothing.

Next the A/C slash heater was not capable of keeping up with the temperature outside. Or room was about 50 degrees for hours into the night, reached maybe 70 by morning. It was very cold outside this February night, but seriously? Also the windows were quite leaky. Sealed by some distraught Patron with clear packing tape frantically at 2 a.m.

The shower faucet was more than difficult to turn. Should have been replaced years ago.

Yes the room is cramped and dated with no art on the walls, but I'm not bothered by those issues. Navigating the hallways with the many fire doors might be tricky for a overweight person.

The view looks out on the burned out shell of a Serbian Church. Which is actually quite beautiful. Also nice piece of the Empire State Building.

We stayed in room 204.

There was a sign offering a portable smoke detector, not sure what that was all about.

There were no bed bugs. We would not stay here again. Unless the conditions changed.

I gave it 3* because it was a good price. After staying there I would not stay again. It for high reviews but that is only representative of the price point. It's an old hotel that has not really been refurbished. For a place to sleep it was just fine but could use a modernization.

Lovely staff, amazing location. Service was great. Fairway supermarket 100 yards away selling fresh bread, 30 different types of coffee. A whole cabinet of humous! Subway 1 minute.
