Looks like the staff is new, nurses are recent grades and are hitting the ground running.Great kids
A few others not so much. Poorly managed, held me
For first three days to rule out T B Had pneumonia
Most of the staff/techs doing tests say they do that
    Often $$$.
Performed unbelievable amount of tests and still left
With pneumonia , doctors drag their feet making decisions one different doctor after another..
Getting discharge was another series of events that was incredible.
Not the worst experience of my life but it isn’t far from it.
Warning DO not be held in house arrest at their
    facility to rule out TB

** almost blew contrast in my veins for a CAT I have kidney disease but the port failed I think God was watching over me..overlooked by staff

Like a third world ER. 11/12/2017 went to the ER for severe abdominal pain. No one at the front desk for 6 minuets, there was vomit on the waiting room floor and it was not cleaned up during our 30 minute visit. The receptionist was nice but could not get my wife in after waiting 30 minuets.
Left and went to Faucet Memorial. Super clean and was admitted in 7 minuets.
    How sad for Punta Gorda.

I had babies in this hospital for three years in the row and I must say my worst experience was in 2016. When came back in October 2017 I was totally shocked how staff and overall service were improved. Staff was polite and respectful, every 15-20 min. they were checking on me, I always had enough of whatever I asked them. My hubby stayed with me for three days and they even checked on him asking if he needs anything else. Honestly, after this stay my hopes and expectations were met 100%. If I have to come back it would be Bayfront for sure. Again, I am comparing past three years and this time overall I would give them 100%. I was very happy!

The worst experience I have ever had with medical professionals. Just had a baby in this hospital, saw my doctor once for 2 minutes during labor, when it was time for me to push, the nurses tried to stop me, so the doctor could get to the room. Meanwhile my baby's head was already out. I was discharged without my doctor even talking to me or examining me.
My little one had to stay in the NICU for a while, same thing - the doctors never spoke with me, some of the nurses were outright rude, and did everything in their power to make my stay with the baby impossible. I got no updates on the baby's progress, and when I asked for progress reports, most nurses had no clue as to what was going on. The care was inadequate to put it mildly, the baby was simply neglected: not changed on time, underfed, and constantly disturbed by noise for no good reason. They deliberately made it seem like the baby was feeling and doing worse than what the actual blood work and tests were showing, as if trying to prolong the baby's stay there. Honestly, if it wasn't for Stella, the only nurse there who has a heart and genuinely cares, we would have left this hospital for another much sooner than we actually did.
Never again will we ever use this place, or entrust the lives of any of our family members into the hands of the doctors we dealt with

Absolutely Amazing. The Hospital has been completely revamped. Clean, New and a very knowledgeable staff with genuine concern for a patients well being. I am a firm believer in praise when a company deserves it. Bay Front has really stepped it up and it shows. I recently spent a night here for some diagnosis and have to say they are very thorough and very well mannered. Fives Stars and beyond way to go you guys should be very proud of your accomplishments. I would recommend this hospital to anyone I know and love.

Had a baby here earlier this year and everyone involved was incredibly nice and proficient. I've been returning regularly for the breastfeeding support group run by Jocelyn since then. She does an amazing job providing guidance to everyone and facilitating discussions. I can't wait to see what she has to say at the workshop she's speaking at later this week. I'm sure she'll have draw in more attendees for the group with her warm manner and wide knowledge base. I'm so glad Bayfront keeps such a personable staff and provides so much support to new mothers!

    Avoid at all costs.

Gave birth here. With the exception of two nurses who were finishing their shifts so only with me for 1-2 hours, they are the worst staff. No communication, no explanation, did not listen to my needs. SO many problems I can't even list them all! Refusal to help me to the bathroom after epidural, not given any pain meds post partum for 12 hours despite me asking for them. They took my brand new born in the first hour - no skin to skin allowed to me at all - again with no explanation and no one came back in to tell me where he was or what was going on for a whole hour!!!

Hate hate hated my experience!! I wish I could get it back and do it again SOMEWHERE ELSE!!

I just gave birth at this facility and had a semi-ok experience. First off, I had to get a c-section and when they were ready to transfer me rooms my bed was broken. So right after major surgery they had to have 2 nurses and a security guard transfer me to the other bed via slide board. Then it happened again at 2 in the morning, I needed to use the restroom and tried to get out of bed and again my bed was broken! Some of the nurses are great and then others not so much! The only reason I had a great stay was Anna the nurse Donna and Suzanne and Dominique were pretty good in the labor and delivery side and Elizabeth the Lactation consultant! Elizabeth goes above and beyond with her job! She is absolutely amazing! If we had another baby she would be the only reason I would go back. She helped and got us anything we needed and taught me how to breastfeed my baby. She is so patient and kind and highly recommend if you need a Lactation consultant! The food was gross and the cafeteria kept getting my order wrong.

I gave birth at this hospital 3 weeks ago and I am still traumatized at how horrible my experience was. The staff was horrible, one nurse would tell me one thing and the other would say something completely different. They didn't know how to work the machines. They wouldn't come check on me for 45 minutes after I hit the call nurse button before and after I delivered my child! One nurse came in smelling like cigarette smoke which caused my infants eyes to swell and then the doctor kept him in NICU FOR 5 days because of it saying he had a viral infection, sent my baby home after basically being a lab rat just to tell me he has sensitive skin. After delivering my baby no nurses helped me, i had no sleep after delivering him. This hospital is TERRIBLE.

I was very impressed by the staff in the ER and the floor my mother was transferred to. They kept me mostly informed and they took excellent care of mom. We were there for two weeks and I can't say enough about how caring they were at BF Port Charlotte. Thank you all
