This place is rachet.. I found a huge pee stain on the sheets.. Mold in the bathroom ceiling.. And a razor blade and strange stain in one of the "fresh towels". Run.. I did.
This place is slightly bizarre. There are no staff at the front desk between 10PM-6AM. This sucked when I got off work at 2AM and had lost my room key. I had to use the phone box to call someone, which took quite a while. I started to wonder if I was going to have to pass the night sipping beer on my doorstep. The rooms could use some extra cleaning. My feet got extremely dirty whenever I walked barefoot in the room. The sink in the kitchen area has almost no water pressure, so I ended up washing my dishes in the shower. The bed was comfortable, room was fairly quiet if you exclude the A/C unit which would roar and shake whenever it kicked off. I guess that's why I travel with ear plugs. The staff are all super nice and helpful. The location is pretty good, walk able to Old Town and all the restaurants / bars / shops. I wouldn't stay here again, but it worked for my couple weeks working in the area.
We have been driving for 7.5 hrs. Is 5:30am. And I was just told my room was given to someone else. I had called a day before to let them know I was going to be having a late check in after midnight. I spoke to Christine and she said not to worry about it. That we can still check in. Since we have a reservation and the room has been paid for. The lady on the that was working was so rude. The office is closed but they have a phone outside the office. I was explaining to her I would have a late check in and that I had spoken to a staff member. She didn’t care and she hung up the phone on me!! It’s 5:49am and I have no room. Bad customer service.
The customer is NOT first at this location. Had to wait for staff to stop BSing in the back to get extra pilloes. Speaking of pillows, they are flat as paper, bathtub/shower is disgusting (mold, mildew, stained, mystery gunk). Walkways are stained and sticky. Towels are "off white". Whole place has a "sketchy" feel - I do not feel safe here.
Great location one of the better ESof Americas in Arizona. I stayed only because the location was perfect there is another location on 44th St and oak which is super convenient as well but I prefer oldtown Scottsdale over them all.
My room had urine and blood stained sheets, as well as bed bugs. I was bitten and immediately checked out, before even staying a single night of my 11 night stay. Luckily the hotel was extremely accommodating and gave me a full refund. Hopefully they will address this matter ASAP, since I've stayed here previously and enjoyed it.
If your standards are simply a bed and four walls then I guess this hotel will suffice. If you want to actually have a semi-decent experience I suggest going somewhere else. Every other reviewer here that left negative reviews is doing so for a reason. When we arrived we were told that they could not book us in a non-smoking room, so we were forced into a smoking room. Mind you we had already booked and paid for a non-smoking room before arriving. When we walked into the room it looked dirty and we could not take the smell. So, we called the front desk and asked to be upgraded and they refused and said all they had left was smoking rooms. We eventually asked for a refund and went down the street to another hotel. The front desk woman (Alice) had an attitude the entire time and was more concerned about ordering her beloved chicken wings (which she was raving about) than she was in taking care of guests. Avoid the hotel. There are plenty of other options in Scottsdale.
WORST HOTEL EVER! BED BUGS OR FLEA not sure! Laid in bed woke up itching with bites all over me! Notice little yellow bugs on bed sheets. Went to office 3xs no one at front desk so i called on phone. 1 person to clean and do laundry & check out. She wouldnt even come to front desk. Was told leave keys I would be refunded. Called next day Office lead was SO rude & not friendly said they dont have bugs & hung up & refused to answer phone after calling back. Worst Ever!
Good room, if a little small. The room I had had a few minor technical issues, sink was leaking a bit, the handle on the shower was loose (might be dangerous, didn't test it). Aside from that the stay was average. I got a promo code online so it brought it down to a decent price. Without that it would have been severely overpriced for what it was. I don't care how expensive an area is, what's the point if the room is smaller and shabbier than even an average room in metro center? You'd expect at least an "okay" room from that kind of money. My suggestion is to look elsewhere unless you've got no choice. On the plus side though, the people who checked me in we're very nice, personable, and very helpful. I appreciate their help, it was very welcome.
I unfortunately had to travel for Christmas at the last minute. I chose the Courtyard because of it's location to friends and family. The hotel property looks great and the room was terrific. The best part of the visit was the service. The guest service agent, Kristy, checked me in on Christmas Eve and was extremely helpful. She found me a great room and provided insight on the area and things to do including restaurants open on Christmas. Next time in the area I'll definitely stay at the Courtyard.
Worst hotel experience EVER. Maids don't clean. They knock on your door when they know you're in the shower, cooking, etc., then Markoff the room without cleaning. For a week the water was shut off in every room during the day. One day the manager walked right into my room at 8:00 in the morning, looked in the fridge and cabinets. No knock, no explanation.
When I complained about the service, same manager threatened to call the cops on me if I didn't leave the lobby.
Rooms have bugs and leftover clothes in drawers.
Plus it's in a sketchy area. Someone tried to mug me, and one day I saw a girl trying a card key in every door, trying to get in.
Avoid this place like the plague! Or Bed bugs !
