Ever thought what it would be like living on Gotham city? Stay a night here. This place needs some justice.
We Had a pleasant two night stay at this Travelodge in Mesa. The rooms were very clean, and quite comfortable. In the mornings the coffee and breakfast snacks were quite generous compared to what some others have to offer. There was fresh orange juice and apple juice, coffee or tea of course, ands cold cereal or instant oatmeal, with sweet rolls or bagels to tempt any carbohydrate dieter for sure. This was in the true nature of hospitality. The only reason they just got four stars is that the gentleman at the front desk didn't have a clue about the Wi-Fi, so I took a computer break thinking it was unavailable. as I was checking out I learned the have an outside source handling the Wi-Fi connections.
At first, I was skeptical because of all the reviews here. Anyway, I made the reservation before I read the reviews and I was in a hurry so I just gave it a try. Turn out, this place isn't so bad. I don't know what other people expected here. The room was cleaned. The bed was cleaned. I didn't see any cigarette burns like other people mentioned. In fact, the bathroom just got repainted. There was no bathtub but it's not a big deal for me. I've never use a bathtub in a hotel anyway and I've been through tons of hotels from Asia, Europe, the US and Canada included 3 to 5 stars. The hot water was so hot to the point that I had to almost turn the hot water off. The AC was in good condition and it got so cold that I had to turn it off as well.
About the staff, I don't think he was rude or extremely polite. He was just there. I told him I had a reservation then gave him my card and that was it. We spoke may be 2 words which was fine since I wasn't there to chat anyway. Honestly, I was tired, I just needed a room and he had done his job. Don't understand what other people expected here either.
And the pool, seriously, how many people actually use a pool at a motel anyway? The fact that they have it was good enough. Frankly, I didn't even used the beach at Mandalay Bay in Vegas let alone a small pool like this.
I was on a business trip to Mesa so I just need a cheap, clean place that I can slept in for about 6 hours. This place served my purpose very well.
I don't really have any complaints about this place I absolutely do love it and have gone back on many occasions I like it because it's centrally located you're not far from anything you can get anywhere and I do mean anywhere from that location lots of food choices to eat from lots of new people to meet the rooms are very clean very clean I mean honestly no complaints other than one staff in the office is really good I have no problems with majority of them but there is one staff member that you need to be careful with and I've actually heard this and other gifts as well not just myself you older gentleman that is bald and has glasses on yeah he's very rude very very rude he's just need all the way around I don't like him he's not nice he has no customer service and he does not like to be criticized and he just doesn't like to deal with the problems.
Bedspread had cigarette burns. AC did not work well at all on a 112 degree day but was told it just takes a while to cool down. It never did. Vending machines were empty so nothing to drink in a room that was well over 90 degrees.
Very disappointed.
I can't say you get what you pay for. It is inexpensive but not worth it.
I really enjoyed the place. Clean rooms. I gotta say though, the customer service needs work. I think they are worried about some people in the area because nobody I'd allowed visitors at all. I feel like 64.00 should get you treated a lot better. I will not stay there again. Mgr is rud.
Friends stayed the night here after a night out on the town and we stopped by. Room was clean, beds seamed soft, and AC was cold.
I was surprised by the cleanliness of the room. Large flat screen tv, ice cold a/c and free wifi makes the price well worth the low rate. Its convienient that the Mesa Travelodge is right off the light rail and local bus routes. The beds are luxurious and smell clean neatly set up upon arrival. The stay was certainly one to remember for future recomendations.
Nice and clean rooms. Tasty complimentary breakfast offered. Clean, sparkling pool! The only complaint I have is the lobby has an overwhelming curry smell which overwhelmed the morning coffee.
I thought it was clean. Staff was nice and friendly. Little pricey even with my AAA discount though
Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Rude couple. Terrible rooms with not one thing that makes you feel like you didn't get robbed
