Great location! Love the amenities and courtyard. Free bikes and wine/cheese reception.
Rooms aren't anything special, but are perfect for what we needed. They aren't super clean. Our breakfast sat outside the entire weekend with ants crawling all over it.

This is a cozy and charming hotel in the the downtown area. The staff are truly amazing, friendly and helpful. I loved the wine and cheese hour too. There is a parking building across the street which is very convenient for this area.

We had the perfect romantic getaway at The Elliot Inn. Our room was perfectly furnished with a canopy bed, desk, plenty of storage options. The bathroom was gorgeous with a luxurious shower. Breakfast brought to your room (which we called "first breakfast" ha!) was great. I need to wake up to fresh coffee! :) Neal was always available for any questions. We walked all over the city and the Elliot is centrally located -- Thank You!

We stayed for 4 nights. Our room was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. Neal knew everything you wanted to know about the city. Breakfast served to the room or courtyard was delicious. The people we met and talked with were from all over and also nice. Wine and cheese was relaxing and nice because it gave us a chance to get to visit with other about what they had already done. The hot tub is no longer there which but not a big deal. Not sure what else tough could ask for in a home away from home. If you're on a budget the restaurants have outstanding happy hours and the bus is cheap or free to some areas. We had a great time.

Very reasonably priced, terrifically located place to lay your head when you're in Charleston. A couple phenomenal restaurants right next door (not Husk, but that's a different review), with delicious brunch through dinner, and drinks.
The rooms are small (you shouldn't be spending time in there except for sleep when you're in Charleston), but they are clean and easily accessible. Booked through Hotels Tonight, and got an amazing rate on a Friday night in the summer.
Free breakfast to your room or on their beautiful patio, and there is a wine and cheese hour at check-in time each day, which is a welcoming touch!
It has been noted in comments that the rooms are loud, which is entirely true (the A/C units are in major need of updating, yet don't fail to keep the rooms icy cold, so I see why they haven't) but that didn't stop us from getting plenty of sound sleep, exhausted from fun as we were.
The hot tub that is in some pics and referenced by reviewers has been removed, so don't come looking for that amenity.
If you are looking for resort style, family accommodating digs for vacation, I'd say no to this place. But if you are a couple/friends, looking for location and a place to sleep between fun, heck yes, stay here.response / report this review -

This was a single overnight stay. The front desk was very friendly and the room had a quaint Charleston feel. Walkable to many great restaraunts and local landmarks.

We stayed here for one night. We booked it a day in advance of our stay because we decided to stay an extra night and there were no vacancies at the B&B we had been in. We had a good stay albeit short. The room was well appointed. The only issue we had was the A/C and fan was very loud. Also, I would suggest booking far enough in advance to request a room towards the back. We stayed in room 31 and it overlooked Queen Street, which was very loud. The plus was it was conveniently located within walking distance to everything in the French Quarter and market area, and also right next to Husk and Poogan's Porch, two wonderful restaurants. However, in the early morning there were 3 18-wheeler trucks outside of our room making restaurant delivieries and quite loud. The breakfast in the courtyard was delicious and a lovely experience. I would stay again and certainly request a more secluded room.

The front desk was completely disinterested when we checked in. They didn't offer to help me with our bags. The air conditioner is extremely loud and the fan runs 24 hours a day and is loud as well. The room is outdated. I called 82 Queen four times before finally getting someone one the phone for room service. When I finally got someone, she was totally unprofessional. Just received my room service (one piece of pie) and they had already applied a 20% gratuity charge to it. Unacceptable for the $325 per night price tag!

Charming and quaint. Fantastic location. I would stay here again, but wish I'd been more thorough searching for deals online to secure the best price for our stay. Purchasing a package directly from the hotel didn't pay off like I believed it had.
