David Barton Gym WAS a great gym. Too bad it CLOSED with little notice. Luckily there are places right down the street like REACH FIELDHOUSE at 1601 W Chicago ave who are offering a FREE WEEK to David Barton's members. Its a different environment but a great place to train or take classes.

I am very disappointed this gym closed, and I think the way they closed it super-abruptly was insensitive and unprofessional. This gym was unique because of the low lighting and clean environment. The staff was also professional. I'm sorry it's gone--hopefully they'll do the decent thing and refund us our remaining money.

It is the worst gym I have ever been. They hid all the important information when I signed up the membership, including all the requirements to cancel the membership!!

And the gym itself is also pretty bad.

This gym is like Hotel California. You can join, but they will not let you leave. Be prepared to pay in order to quit, or try a local alternative. One without a "corporate office." Google this chicago gym and membership cancellation.

A lot of BROS, but a very solid gym. More expensive than Xsport, but also more stuff available in the changing room and better equipment. The classes will kick your butt and the trainers are so nice! They make an effort to get to know and recognize you. Great referral program, too.
