Excellent experience here. I have a milk allergy and the kitchen was happy to accommodate and make me anything on the menu with substitutions. Everything is made from scratch so it was very easy for them to customize it for my allergy. Food was excellent, and so was the service. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a fine dining experience.

Date: December 12th. I went there with some friends to have some drinks until we could access the purple pig which is a restaurant in front of michael jordan stake house. In the final bill we found out that they charged us more drinks than the ones we ordered and they included the tip they arbitrarily decided to charge us. I ended up with a bitter taste related to this place. If you can go somewhere else, do so.

The place is nice, a bit too dark, could barely see my food. However, both the food and the service were great. Their mac and cheese was the best I've ever had.

Most amazing cheeseburger and fries ever. Intimate setting of the Intercontinental Hotel lobby. Ask for Cameron at the bar - great bartender!

Best ribeye state I ever had, and I have many, crab appetizer so good it could be dessert. So so on the chocolate cake"I like big rum" was excellent. Service was top notch. Always enjoy eating here.

Had the table 23 experience, hands down the best dining experience the wife and I have had. Service was great, the chef personally brought our food which was amazing. It's definitely worth it!

In Chicago for business, it is also my birthday. Went with my husband to enjoy a late night dessert. They tried to seat us in the fully crowded very loud bar. Asked if we could do the restaurant instead, as we wanted to be able to actually hear each other speak. We were told "of course". Upon returning to the hosting desk, we were told that we couldn't go to the restaurant unless we ordered a full meal. After a minute of awkward silence we said thank you and left. I am still shocked at this level of customer service. Very disappointed. The hostess with the long brunette hair working on Wednesday August 16th around 9:30 pm needs to go.

Garlic bread was delicious. Fingerling potatoes also very good. I was happy with the wines. Steaks prepared by a cook not a chief. Too many other great choices in Chicago to ever go back here.

I should have asked for a manager. I should have called right after. The hostess' that worked the night of August 8th, 2017 were extremely rude and the reason we decided to cancel our reservation at this restaurant. We were visiting Chicago for the first time ever for our first wedding anniversary. We chose THIS restaurant to eat on our first wedding anniversary and I made the reservations WEEKS in advance. Huge mistake! We were treated like dirt. I specifically put on the "open table" reservation that this was our first time visiting Chicago, we were celebrating our first wedding anniversary, and we would have our infant son with us so we would need a high chair. We made reservations for 6:00 PM, and our son had fallen asleep in the stroller on the walk over there. The hostess' told us that we could not bring the stroller into the restaurant, that we would have to eat in the bar area. I asked why nobody told me this when I made the reservations weeks ago and specifically put in the reservation we would have our infant son. The hostess said "you requested a high chair, not to bring a stroller in"Are you serious? Then the other hostess chimed in with a snarky remark that it was a "formal restaurant". They told us we couldn't eat in there unless we woke him up to sit in the high chair. I told them I am not waking him up for him to sit in a high chair. they could clearly see he was sound asleep. Then they said they could call security to ask if it would be allowed. SECURITY? FOR A STROLLER? WITH A BABY? We would have easily spend $200+ here for dinner and after that comment my husband was so upset he said we would cancel. We have never felt so discriminated against for having an infant son. I can't believe we chose this establishment with such rude little girls working the front, for our FIRST wedding anniversary dinner and were treated to badly. Not to mention this was our first experience in Chicago I tried to turn around as soon as we walked out of the restaurant to get a manager but my husband didn't want to ruin the night any further. They lost business that night over their untrained and unaccommodating hostess'. They should have notified me from the beginning that strollers weren't allowed in the restaurant and only the bar area when I made the reservation weeks ago. Also, when my husband canceled they just said "okay, bye!" with so much attitude it was unnerving. They were not accommodating what-so-ever. Both of the hostess' had long brown hair Oh and, EVERYONE walks in Chicago, and everywhere else we went, strollers were NO PROBLEM. We went to Joe's Steakhouse a few days later (another upscale steakhouse) and they had no problem with us bringing in a stroller to their formal restaurant even though they had a whole section to drop off a stroller they let us bring him back there (and another couple that we saw with a stroller) because our babies were sleeping.
We ended up going across the street to The Purple Pig to eat dinner that night. It was AMAZING, the staff was SUPER accommodating and they made our first wedding anniversary dinner memorable. They totally turned around our night. I suggest skipping the rude service at MJ's Steakhouse and going across the street to The Purple Pig. They have a great menu and melt in your mouth food. We even went back for brunch one morning because we felt so welcomed by the staff.response / report this review -

Great Steaks but extremely noisy too.
The Michael Jordan Steakhouse in the Interconti is great for Steaks which are made exactly to your wishes.
Unfortunately the best value dish, the Steak Sandwich, is only available at Lunchtime.
In the evenings the place tends to get too noisy for my liking so that any quiet conversation is impossible.
The restaurant also serves four different varieties of Chicago Craft Beers with around 3-4 beers in each category.response / report this review -

Took mom there for a late Mother's Day lunch and was not disappointed. The chef prepared a special tasting lunch and it was delicious. We enjoyed every selection but the crab cake, their take on garlic bread , the steak and the finale the 23 layer chocolate cake all stood out. The service was pleasant and spot on

One of the best delmonicos I've had! Ordered it medium-rare and it came out cooked perfectly. The potatoes were very creamy and soft with the butter sauce in the bottom of the dish. Very unconventional but I loved it! I just wish the service was better for such a nice place but definitely great food.

I've been to many fine steakhouses and unfortunately I was not impressed with this one. I would not recommend it if you're looking for a fine dining experience. We were seated at 8:15 and it took 15 minutes before our server finally acknowledged us and then it took him another 10 minutes to bring over our beverages. Needless to say, everything we ordered took long to arrive with lengthy waiting in between courses and when finally we're served our Grass fed Ribeyes which was perhaps about 9:30, they were cooked medium and not medium rare as we requested. Then they were somewhat bland covered in an unexpected sauce that seemed to be added in order to disguise some of the overdone edges. The experience was not at all what I expected.

Julio is an amazing server!! He makes sure you are taken care of and he has great recommendations! Rigo was a wonderful helper as well. The food was beyond amazing! My boyfriend got the steak special and we shared a fondue appetizer. Both were incredible! Also, I had lobster bisque and the macaroni and cheese. Both were very tasty. We will be back!

I dined as this steak house today for lunch. I ordered a 14 oz NY strip and the fries. The steak came out prepared correctly (medium rare) and tasted delicious. The fries were delicious as well. I only have two critiques for this establishment. The first is the steak was not 14 oz. It was closer to 10 oz. When I asked the server, he insisted the steak was 14 oz when the steak was only about an inch and a half thick, about 5.5 inches long, and about 2.5 inches wide. The other complaint was the tables are far too tall for the booth. There was about a good 14 inches of distance between the seat and the bottom of the table. This is awesome if you are really tall, but average height men have to chicken wing their elbows out to eat.
