    Professor Janvier Jones,
I am emailing on behalf of a complaint in regards to Professor Sigfrido Reyes. On February 21, 2017 around 10:00 a.m. Pensacola (cst), I attempted phone contact with him. Though he had answered the phone, he then asked me to hold for a moment which I agreed to do as I was grateful for his time. However, when he put the phone down, I heard him say to whoever was in his office at that time. I heard these exact words, “It is no one on the phone, but an online student.” Then he continued talking to an unidentified person in his office. Unfortunately, I hung up because I was on a prepaid phone; however, I called back about five minutes later to talk with him in order to discuss a class assignment. Once he picked up the phone, we began to speak about the classroom assignment. During the conversation, he emphasized that I needed the textbook for his course. As I was explaining myself to him, he became rude as he reiterated that I needed to purchase the textbook. He also stated, “If you do not purchase the book, then you need to withdraw from the class,” so rudely. Though I tried to tell him that I could not afford the book, he responded, “That’s not his problem.” He also reiterated that I could use a textbook from my local library. He also told me that it was not his responsibility to tell me this information and he continued to speak rudely toward me. He even stated, “I have a personal life.” I expressed that I understood his point, but I tried to convey to him that he should care about his student, especially in regards to their academic performance. I then asked him to stop yelling at me and then he used profanity before he had hung up the phone on me. Though I attempted to contact him three times, he refused to answer my phone calls. As I was greatly concerned about such mistreatment, which was quite unprovoked, I contacted the college and spoke with different office managers according to college policies in order to resolve my concerns.
    Best regards,

    Mattie L. Aikens

I went for a online test and let me tell you worst experience. I'm sorry but this place is ghetto not a good school. I feel like most of the students just go there for a check and back by the looks of it..staff member acted like she knew what she was doing but in reality I knew more about signing in to take the test than her! I had to reschedule a test just because she didn't know what she was doing! And let me tell you she had the worst attitude I literally was biting my tongue..I don't go here and I never will.

I graduated from OHC in 2013. I found the professors to be intelligent, engaging, motivating and some more rigorous than others. Overall, my academic experience at OHC prepared me for a 4 year university. Learning is the responsibility of the student and the professors at OHC were more than willing to assist serious students achieve their goals. Remember people, you are on a college campus and these professors are wise beyond your academic and professional experience. Simply put they have seen and heard it all. Again, if you are a serious student the professors at OHC will go above and beyond to assist you achieve your goal. On the downside, the counselors at OHC need a lot of improvement. My best advice is to research and map out your plan to achieve your goal and then find a counselor who can help guide you to obtain that goal. Overall, I loved my experience at OHC and it definitely prepared me for a 4 year university not only academically but personally.
