Some of the best desserts you can buy in the city (pecan roll is worth killing your diet for) and a full menu of down home favorites. Biscuits and gravy are standouts but they only serve them until 11:00 a.m. so get there early. All the locations are terrific. The only warning I have is to avoid the Italian dishes as they're all pretty bad. Stick with the country style meals and you'll be fine.

Always a great time, and always good servers. I love the fact that the servers are super attentive, and they know their menu inside and out. It doesn't seem like I ever get a "rookie" server who doesn't know what to do. Coming here feels like a very relaxed experience, with a super full belly afterwards! Good portion sizes for the price too, with just enough to fill you up without needing to take some home. A great spot for breakfast early!

One of the best places to eat in the Kansas City area. The breakfast menu is one of the best, I think they serve other items too, but I never veer away from getting breakfast. The restaurant is very easy to get to as it is located at the corner (of course) of Vivion and Gateway in Riverside. If you have never tried their rolls or any of the pies, you are in for a real treat. Just stop by for those two items and you won't be disappointed. It is fun to walk around the restaurant and see the articles on the wall documenting the history of the restaurant and the Riverside area. Sometimes there is a wait if you go at a really busy time, but we have never waited over 15 minutes.

This is one of our fave restaurants to eat at. We love the home cooked food, the rolls and fried chicken and mashed potatoes are just amazing. Went here for my birthday dinner and the food was awesome. I got a slice of pie to bring home which was delicious. The staff and service here is always great and wonderful. We can't wait to come back and have some more great food.

It's always crowded between 9-11am. There maybe a20 minute wait but if you hand in there, the palatable rewards are endless. ALWAYS going to be service with a smile, food is prepared with the consumer in mind. Friendly family atmosphere. Food is always good and hot. My wife and I, bring new to these parts have define this as our "Go To-Breakfast Restaurant for 2018" Thanks Corner Cafe, see you next week!

Not very friendly. Long ticket times. The food is good if you get it hot instead of 10 minutes after it was put in the window. I would not suggest going in if they are busy.

5 stars for food no stars for service. My water glass sat empty my entire meal. When I told the waitress she said she didn't notice. Well it's your job to notice. I won't be back.

Misty was the hostess and she sat us promptly. We had Mona as a server and she was great. Good here is always great. It's always busy but there never seems to be a wait and that works great for our family. If you want breakfast for dinner or a good home cooked meal Corner Cafe is your place. Oh, make sure you get a cinnamon roll too. They're awesome!

Honest country cooking. Not always consistent but reliable. My favorite is the chicken fried chicken, brown gravy on the side. I like breakfast sides with it or fries & fried okra. Lately their eggs have always been overcooked or sitting under the window too long but with the right waitress they have a good breakfast menu.

Don't get to come here very often but when I do, I love the biscuit topper. Half order of biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs over the top and a side of sausage patties. Attentive service and great prices mean I'll be back soon.

I have eaten here several times and the food has been consistently good and the service always friendly.
I like getting the pork chop breakfast. The pork chops are boneless, lightly breaded, and not overcooked. Still tender and juicy.
If you eat here on a Sunday for breakfast, the place gets really busy after 9 am and wait times over 30 minutes for a table are not unheard of.response / report this review -

Good place for comfort food. Huge menu with good dessert options. Would've given it 5 stars but our food wasn't stellar, just good. May have had to do with the late hour we arrived/ordered.

The Original Corner Cafe in Riverside, MO. GREAT bakery items - including those absolutely delicious cinnamon rolls. Didn't take long at all to get a seat during the lunch rush, and while the food came out hot and fast, it was still absolutely amazing. This is a great restaurant, with great atmosphere and staff. You won't be disappointed.

Definitely not a stop for health-nut food! It's got the home-cooked kinda feel.a mix of greasy-spoon and old-style restaurant. Pretty good selection for the price - nice staff! Homemade pies, cinnamon rolls, and sticky buns! HUGE cinnamon rolls!!

IS EVERYONE WELCOMED HERE????? We never got a chance for any service! Corner cafe was referred by coworkers as a great place for good comfort food. So to say the least we were disappointed when we stood at the front counter waiting to be seated but was clearly ignored my the waitress. She walked by us several times, even going to fold boxes by the entrance. More people came in and instead of seating us ( an Africa American couple) two Caucasian females were seated. Funny thing is, there was a Caucasian man sitting across from where we were standing as this was happening waiting for his call in order. He tells the waitress we were here first but that didn't matter because she seated them anyway. No matter how good the food probably is here; good customer service starts at the door and I want to feel welcomed. Would not recommend

Good Eatery in Riverside, with early breakfast menu or dinner.
Fairly friendly service, and tasty food.
** It's not "fast food" but can be quick.
You can either enjoy a leisurely bite to eat,
or tell the waitress you are in a hurry,
and she'll rush your order to have you down the road.
