Excellent store closing unfortunately appreciate all the friendly staff and the Sears name for being in Overland Park Kansas will be missed thank you again.
The salesman was very helpful and very nice. The people working in the back that bring out the appliances were very rude and are not careful at all with the appliances. When we bought our new fridge it had one scratch one we could deal with that. We went home to get our truck and come back to get it. It had five new scratches on it and a dent in the side that will show when we have it in our kitchen. We were not happy at all. We asked them what happened and they told us that they would refund our money or we could buy a different one. That's the one we liked. We understand that it had one scratch not five scratches and a dent. The customer service was unacceptable. They were very very rude. We won't go back at all. We bought a fridge, dishwasher and almost bought a dryer. We will buy a new dryer elsewhere.
Store is closing down, but the price is still ridiculous high. It's seems like they jack up all the prices and marked certain percent off just to catch peoples eyes. But if you really do the math you're still paying just ordinary sales like other sears or kmart stores. NOT REALLY A CLOSING DEAL SALE! They are still wanted to profit off of what they make before closing.
One of the last to Sears in town, and this one is only got a few weeks left. Lots of appliances and some pretty good deals left over but you got to dig.
Have been trying to reach someone in large appliances for over and hour today an NO ANSWER. My husband was told that the salesman I spoke with was outside looking at the eclipse then he was rushed off the phone so she could watch. Although this is a big deal to some people, it should not be put ahead of SALES. Very disappointing. One star is too much.
Got some great deals as this store in Overland Park is closing. Happy shopping!
Great store. There are a lot of stuff that's really cheap but are nice quality. Bought my kids some clothes from there and they've lasted long time. The people are really nice.
The only place open from old Metcalf Mall, Sears gives you that old school department store feel; the elevator music definitely takes you back to a different time. I'm a big fan of Craftsman tools and yard equipment. Look online for even more products that you can have delivered to the store with an online discount. Great tire shop as well.
O srars!!! I bought several appliances on Nov 25, including washer, drier, vacuum, etc. Then getting a free microwave from relative who moved, I decided to return mine (unopened box) with the receipt. It was 30 days after purchase was made, but knowing that most sensible stores even Ross, have an extended holiday return policy, I decided to call and see if Sears has one as well, even if I get only store credit back as I will be shopping for refregirator and a stove in the near future. So when I called Sears they told me that I have until Jan 31 to return it for a full refund and they do have an "Extended" holiday return policy for purchases made between Nov. 1 - Dec 24. When I went to return it, the store refused to take it back claiming it's been more than $30 and they know nothing about extended return policy and whoever told me that misinformed me. The next day I called the Sears 800 number and was assured that my microwave is eligible for a return and I can to go back to the store. So before dealing with stubborn store personnel again and carrying heavy box, I decided to call and explain to them that their web site shows under return policy that the item is within return policy date and customer service said the same. The guy who works at appliances was incredibly rude and yelled at me, interrupting that it has been over 30 days and I need to go and take it back to whoever told me that I can return it which is Sears 800 number. Then he rudely hung up the phone and never picked it up again. So I called my cc company who gladly disputed the charge for me. I do not recommend to deal with that store. They seem to be very ignorant of their own policies and refusing to take effort to understand. The man working in appliances is a Jerk!
Went to automotive to shop for tires. No salesperson in sales area. When a man showed up he was in bad mood. Yelled, "What do u want". There internet site showed a tire that was in stock at that store. When I asked to see on of the tires he said: "We don't have that and walked off"
Needed an item in electronics dept. They said the only clerk was at lunch and no one else from other departments were allowed to leave their department to help me. WIll never go back. The deserve to go bankrupt.
I have always been a loyal Sears customer! This location being the only store left of Metcalf South Mall. It still is a very nice clean and well- maintained store.
I always get super customer service here. The people that have seen me before always say hello even if I'm just passing through their department. The new hires act they have seen me before. I can always find what I need at Sears. When I need a particular item I always ask myself "Does Sears have this?".
Called about a 400 dollar planer that is for sale on the Sears website. Their site says it's a display model and the man on the phone scoffed at me and said they don't sell display models. I very politely asked to why it was listed there and he insisted that I was reading the description wrong. I then asked who I was speaking with. He scoffed again, replied with "It doesn't matter" and hung up on me.
I have NEVER been talked down to so RUDELY by a Sears representative. I've spent THOUSANDS of dollars buying tools and equipment from your company over the years and I can prove it through my Shopyourway rewards number. How am I in good conscience supposed to come back to Sears when this is way you treat a regular customer?
